Came here with a group of friends for my best friends birthday…read more The sommelier was very knowledgeable and inviting, she even brought all of us blankets as it was a little breezy. She also brought out a plate of locally crafted pastries for us to pair with our wine. The wine itself was very tasty and smooth, we bought a couple of bottles to share in Downtown Healdsburg afterwards so we could continue enjoying it. The winery itself is very beautiful and has a stunning view overlooking Dry Creek Valley. They had ambient live music with a tongue drum that added to the atmosphere. Looking forward to my next visit here!

Pros: -Dog friendly! -As someone who doesn't often drink, I liked the selection of wines we tasted. -Free tasting of Rosé during check-in. -Beautiful location & views -Charcuterie board looked beautiful and had some tasty snacks and fresh fruits. -Good service! -Nice music Cons: -Even with a reservation, we had to wait 20 minutes (in the rain) to be seated. -If you're hungry, like I was, the only option are charcuterie boards that are $60-65. Pretty steep price!! There are cheap small a la carte snack options, like shortbread, chips, and crackers, but I needed more than that. A mini version of the board for half the price would have been appreciated as an option. For the price I paid, it would have been nice if the $65 Elevated Salumi Plate had more cheese. Eat something before you get here and save money. Overall, a pleasant wine tasting experience in a lovely location!

They offer a beautifully orchestrated zero-pressure experience that feels both luxurious and unpretentious. Our wine guide was amiable and knowledgeable, and the nosh plate was a perfect assortment/complement to the wines we tasted. Oh yeah, and the wines are great. We bought the 2024 Rose and the lighter fruit-forward Pinot Noir. My recommendations is to do the hi-lo experience when in Healdsburg. Come here for the luxe vineyard experience, then schedule a tasting at a nearby small working operation like Tongue Dancer for a view into hands-on high-quality winemaking.

We've always loved their wines, and we're very excited to enjoy a glass of wine in their beautiful setting. We were greeted at the front desk and turned away by a snotty, arrogant, and entitled staff. Never have I been treated in such a disrespectful way. We didn't have a reservation and were not allowed to even order a glass of wine. We were told we could walk through the garden but "make sure you don't sit on any of the furniture". It was delivered in such a snotty and condescending manner. We ended up going down the road and spent the afternoon at Twomey. We discovered our new favorite wine, and it wasn't Flowers. They lost 4 lifetime customers today all due to a snotty staff and a most unwelcoming vibe. I'd suggest you open up some slots for walk ups who may just want to order a bottle of your wine and enjoy it in the sunshine. It's too late to win us back...because now we'll always think of your brand as snobby and arrogant. And, who needs to be made to feel that way when there are so many other choices.

J VINEYARDS & WINERY - HEALDSBURG, CALIFORNIA | 10.30.2026…read more Some experiences are meant to be savored, and my visit to J Vineyards & Winery was certainly one of them! Nestled in the beautiful wine country of Healdsburg, this was more than just a wine tasting. It was an elegant culinary experience filled with beautiful wines, thoughtfully prepared dishes, and wonderful company. We were first welcomed with a lovely sparkling wine called LOVE, associated with artist Alexandra Grant. It was crisp, refreshing, and a delightful way to begin our afternoon. It was paired with shrimp, Mignonette oysters, and seaweed topped with tuna. What a beautiful introduction! The seafood was delicious, and the sparkling wine complemented it wonderfully. After this first tasting, we were invited into the J Bubble Room, where we were seated at a beautifully arranged table with crisp linens and cloth napkins. The atmosphere immediately made the experience feel special. Our culinary journey continued with a palate cleanser featuring caviar in a creamy sauce, candied fennel, and a delicate drizzle of oil. I may not remember every ingredient, but I certainly remember how delicious it was! Vintage Brut Rosé - Russian River Valley 2019 Next came a beautiful glass of Vintage Brut Rosé, paired with a garden tomato preparation featuring summer tomato conserva, whipped feta, toasted bread crumbs, and Calabrian chili. The combination of fresh tomato flavors, creamy feta, and a little spice made this pairing especially enjoyable. Pinot Noir - East Side Knoll, Russian River Valley 2022 Our next pairing was a Pinot Noir accompanied by Liberty Farms duck breast, sunchoke purée, smoked morel mushrooms, fermented blueberries, and Herbes de Provence. This was such an interesting combination of flavors. The duck, earthy mushrooms, and fruit brought together a beautiful balance that made the dish memorable. Pinot Noir - Bowtie, Russian River Valley 2022 And just when I thought the experience couldn't get any better, we moved on to another Pinot Noir, this time paired with Basque cheesecake, Hosui Asian pear, bee pollen, and tarragon. A lovely way to bring the culinary experience toward its sweet finale. The cheesecake and accompanying flavors made for a beautiful dessert presentation. ‍ Behind the Culinary Experience A special acknowledgment to Executive Chef Aaron Meneghelli and Sous Chef Ramiro Leon Ramirez for putting together such a wonderful culinary experience. Each course was thoughtfully presented, and the wine pairings made the meal feel like a journey rather than simply sitting down for lunch. A Little Personal Confession! Now, I have to admit something. I'm not exactly a seasoned wine enthusiast. My companion is much more experienced when it comes to appreciating and sampling different wines. As for me? Let's just say I was feeling pretty relaxed and a little tipsy by the end! I'm usually not someone who drinks multiple glasses of wine, but this experience was worth stepping outside my usual routine. My companion was so generous that she even purchased several bottles of wine and gifted me two bottles, along with beautiful wine glasses and a wine stopper. Such a thoughtful keepsake from a lovely afternoon! FINAL THOUGHTS J Vineyards & Winery gave me an afternoon I won't soon forget. From the sparkling wine and fresh seafood to the beautifully prepared courses and Russian River Valley Pinot Noirs, everything came together to create a memorable experience. What I appreciated most was how each course introduced something different. It wasn't simply about drinking wine; it was about discovering how wine, food, presentation, and atmosphere can complement one another. If you're visiting Healdsburg or planning a wine-country getaway, I would absolutely recommend adding J Vineyards & Winery to your itinerary. Whether you're a seasoned wine enthusiast or someone like me who is still learning to appreciate the art of wine tasting, it's a wonderful opportunity to explore something new. Sometimes the best memories come from trying something outside your comfort zone, enjoying beautiful food, and sharing the afternoon with someone special. Here's to good wine, beautiful food, and unforgettable afternoons in wine country!

We did make an appointment and we arrived on time, greeted as soon as we walked in, and quickly set up for our tastings with Michelle...who was a fantastic host! As you enter, you walk past the bubble room, a wine and pairing room, which my husband is now obsessed with... good for me though... that means we will go back! Today we just did a regular tasting which included the newest version of their Love wine. A passion project for them with 100% of the wine cost going to benefit up and coming female artists. Another fun thing to note is each year they grant an artist the privilege of designing the label for the Love bottle. We started with the Love wine and then moved onto the Rosé, we thought both of these were excellent and ended up ordering a case of them so we can enjoy them yet again! Next step for the tasting was a white and after that two Pinots. We thought all were delicious however our preference was for the Love wine and the Rose. If you are in the neighborhood and enjoy sparkling wines these two are delicious! The vineyard itself is beautiful and relaxing. You can take your tastings to sit outside and enjoy them while overlooking the vineyards. In the end, we ended up joining the membership, which worked out well because when you sign up that day, your tastings are free and your shipment is at no cost. It's a win win!
