As an…read moreactress in this crazy industry, I've faced my fair share of ups and downs, and finding the right therapist has been a journey. Thankfully, I got some amazing recommendations from fellow showbiz folks, and I'm so grateful for that! I loved that Dr. Kaluga is incredibly professional and truly knows her stuff. She creates a safe space where I can be open and honest about my struggles. Great Minds provides sessions via telehealth, and I really appreciated that because it saved me a lot of time not having to drive anywhere. I could also squeeze in a session during my lunch hours. Her advice and support have really helped me deal with the pressures of the industry and find balance in my life. If you're in need of a therapist who gets the unique challenges we face in show business, I highly recommend Great Minds and Dr. Julia Kaluga. Huge thanks to everyone who pointed me in her direction--she's been a real game changer for me! Much love, Debbie Bledsoe

I had an amazing experience at The Villa and can't recommend this treatment center enough. From the…read moremoment I (nervously) walked in, I could tell that the staff genuinely cared about what I was going thru and wanted me to get well. They made me instantly feel welcomed and comfortable, and throughout my stay I grew even more appreciative for the compassion and skill level of the staff. Their approach is very holistic and expands far beyond just the 12 steps. We learned meditation, breathing exercises, yoga, acupuncture, among many other things. The therapists are the best I've ever spoken with. I had 2 assigned to me including a trauma therapist who helped me work through issues I had never really spoken about with anyone before, helping connect my childhood trauma with my substance abuse issues, and giving me the tools to deal with it. The house is very spacious and comfortable with a giant pool and hot tub, and we had time to relax and match movies and hang out. I laughed a lot with the other clients and had more fun than I ever would have imagined in rehab and made new friends that I've continued to stay friends with after leaving. Beyond just getting clean, the Villa gave me the breakthroughs and tools I needed to stay sober and taught me how to enjoy life, laugh, and have fun without needing alcohol and for that I'm forever grateful. I checked out of the Villa a completely different person, ready to take on the world. Don't think twice about going here if you're in need of help!

I can't say enough about the Villa Treatment Center. This is the review you want to read, as I have…read moreworked in the industry for years and was also a client of The Villa. The Villa is THE place to go. I have people from all walks of life, from friends, family, friends of friends, come to me and ask where their loved one should go and The Villa is the ONLY place I can say with 100% confidence in recommending. The Villa's staff have all of the, and the best of the credentials and the owners couldn't be nicer, more involved, and were easy and available to talk to throughout the entire experience. Even after your stay is completed. They ACTUALLY CARE. Every other place that I know or have worked with has some sort of monetary incentive, but the Villa is only recovery center in the COUNTY that genuinely wants to help people get sober and have amazing futures. From the moment you pick up the phone, you are part of the family...even when you graduate. I would say 95% of the programs in LA and maybe even the entire state of California are at least somewhat corrupt and only looking to make money. It's shocking what happens in this industry, especially when it's supposed to be saving lives. I can HONESTLY and PROUDLY say that the Villa is in the other 5% and I couldn't be more honored that I went there and I am so happy, relieved, and reassured that I have a place I can recommend to my loved ones. I am excited for the future of this disease because the Villa exists and that I can recommend it in full confidence. They save lives and are family for life. Please feel free to leave me a message and I would be happy to call and answer any questions. Thank you, with everything that I have. The Villa, you are my family for life. Love, Kate

Ella has truly changed the way I move through my life and because of my own rewarding experience I…read moream posting this in the hope that it reaches someone who has been thinking about this kind of support and has not quite taken the step yet. I want to say one thing clearly, because I think it keeps people from reaching out. You do not need to be in crisis or carrying a diagnosis to benefit from working with her. Sometimes you just need help navigating the ordinary hard parts of life, and that is where she is at her best. What makes her different is that she meets you exactly where you are. There is no script, no sense of being fit into someone else's idea of what growth should look like. She listens first, really listens, and then builds around what she hears, drawing on hypnotherapy and other methods depending on what you actually need. She creates space for you to say the hard things out loud, and then she stays right there with you. That matters more than I expected. She offers the kind of objectivity that is almost impossible to find on your own or anywhere in your own circle, and you leave with practical tools you can lean on, not just the feeling of having talked it through. My progress felt gradual, and I have come to think that is the whole point. Ella never pushed me faster than I was ready to go. She just kept quietly opening doors, and one day I looked back and realized I had walked through several of them without noticing. Five stars truly does not feel like enough!

She seems to have bad memories. She can't remember what we have or haven't talked about. I was…read morerambling and rambling and the sessions ended without purpose. Also, I got the sense that she doesn't respect my time at all and she puts money before her patients. I suggest try other therapists before going to her. Update: 1. The first session, I asked her how would like to work, her methodology and modality. She answered nothing, explained nothing. Instead she focused on my payment, and overcharged my co-payment until she confirmed my insurance later. I understand. 2. Another session. I paid her cash right after, yet she still requested fee through my Venmo. I emailed her that I have already paid, then she simply answered: "You're totally right." I understand. 3. I had an emergency on my way to her office. My car tire got flatten. I emailed her about the emergency. She charged the whole session fee out of my own pocket, which I understand. But she could have explained and provided other options for me to make up for the session through phone or email. Instead, she accused me of not knowing how therapy payment works, and stating that she could have given the spot to other clients. But the truth is, this is the first time I ever missed a session. And I made the appointment the day before, after she came back from travel, and there was no other client to take the spot. And she knew I'm a student and on student insurance. Again, I respect her time and I understand. 4. The most ridiculous is the last session. I told her what I wanted to talk about and I needed one more session to finish therapy with her. She finally explained her modality to me that she only worked with long-term clients, and thus refused to provide further service. She literally let me go, ignoring my goal and my need for this last session. However, she's still charging my insurance for this session. She wasted me almost two hours, from preparation, driving, parking, paying the parking fee, etc. I could have spent that time on my study, work, or with my family and friends. She neither cared or respected me, but "tricking" me to her office so she can bill my insurance. I decided to go to therapy because one of my best friends who works in medical field suggests that everyone should have a therapist to achieve better emotional balance and happiness. I didn't expect to receive such negativity and indifference. I'm glad and grateful that I found another therapist who I decided to go to and have a long-term relationship with after I felt uncomfortable with Mahshid.
