I would give 5 stars but I did not receive my exact order. I ordered shrimp lo mein and received chicken (I hope it's chicken) lo mein. Also, I ordered a Pepsi and got a sprite. But because the food is so good I really can't be too mad. It's delicious!

Best way to describe the place is: If you know. You know!…read more And if you don't know. Find a local to find out. Took us a little while to find the place. Not the address but the place. If you're looking for a hole in the wall keep looking. You're looking for hole in the hole in the wall. Basically it is a bar on the 2nd Floor of the old building which has another bar on the first floor. Once you find it I can't say you'd be disappointed. Although we didn't get there when they have their busiest time like Friday or Saturday night but we were seated immediately service was great prices reasonable. The Menu isn't vast (this is not a Cheesecake Factory) and I didn't see any issues with anything we ordered. Cocktails were superb even without Pork Belly Garnish on my Monster. Ordered all appetizers from the list. All of them were wonderful. Karaage, Pickles, Wings, Buns It is all delicious. Same with Ramen. Nothing had any issues to note all were absolutely superb.

The stairwell smells awful. The drinks are very disappointing, I ordered a drink and it came in a large wine glass and was 1/4 full. Something else that threw me off was the hostess/manager. She isn't friendly and rushes you from the start to the end of your meal.

Can't beat the vibe - laid back but buzzing. Service was very attentive and welcoming. Everything we tried was delicious, complex and unique. It's a daily menu with a lot of staples -- we felt like we could not have chosen wrong. For cocktails we tried the Ankor what - Szechuan-infused bourbon, maple cynar and lemon. I wasn't sure what to expect and how spirit forward it would be but it was perfectly balanced. Not too sweet, not too spicy or peppery with the sezchuan pepper but subtly complex. And the Chinese opera - Lemongrass-Infused Macchu Pisco, St. Germain, Lemon, Apple Shrub, Aquafaba. This one looked beautiful, topped with pink peppercorns and went down too easy. Light and refreshing. I would recommend all the dishes we tried. The Chinese soup dumplings with this fragrant peanut sauce are a must. My boyfriend's favorite was the Gruyère beef chili dumplings which reminded me of croquettes. Definitely recommend the Peking duck build your own bao entree. We loved the vegetable toppings so much we asked if we could purchase their homemade kimchi to take some home :) Finished with the egg tartes which were so light and luscious, the brulee crust is everything. Appreciated the chef even stopping by the table to check on the meal! Such a nice impromptu dining out experience

For parking, you might be able to snag a parallel spot somewhere nearby, but it's in the city and accessible with public transportation, so I recommend using that instead. I came with a friend. We got several dishes to share: xiao long bao (soup dumplings), cold noodles in spicy vinegar sauce (I think this is liangpi), wontons in spicy Sichuan sauce, and a chicken dry pot at medium spicy. Everything tasted so good and reminded me of how they tasted when I was in China! I strongly recommend this place for delicious authentic flavorful Chinese food!

Overall, the food was good. Once seated, a server hands you an iPad where you'll order your food. To feed two adults and one child, all hungry, we ordered dan dan noodles, orange chicken, cucumbers, BBQ pork bao, pork dumplings, and, of course, soup dumplings. Every dish had good flavor. The dan dan noodles are more soupy compared to nearby Copycat, but it was still good. One odd thing that may be a one off, but worth noting is the wait time. With one other person there and no takeout pickups and three people in the kitchen, it took 35 minutes to get our first dishes. Over an hour later, we got our final dish- orange chicken. We couldn't figure out why there was such a long wait especially when other spots bring out the cucumbers within minutes of ordering. We were hungry so it added to the emotions, but worth calling out in case you're a rush.
