But I've had such convenient interactions with this office, that I couldn't pass up the opportunity to review it and the awesome employees. The thought of obtaining new rental and auto insurance or even transferring a policy is exhausting to me. I had made a few calls when I was considering a move, and this office was easy to communicate with and helpful with every question I had. They even pointed out a few places in the area (gyms, restaurants, etc.) that might be of interest to me. They were very quick in answering questions they didn't know and equally quick in completing paperwork for me. Of course, shortly after contacting them and getting a policy through them, I got into a car accident! Again, they surprised me in helping to coordinate a rental car, offering a list of auto shops where I could take the car for repairs, and helping me through the entire process. And the insurance company paid the auto shop directly, which meant that I didn't need to wait to get reimbursed for the damages. Overall, I've been more than happy with my experience at this State Farm location, and I'd definitely recommend it to someone needing insurance in the area.

These kinds of issues can lead many to chastise the messenger when the root cause of the problem lies beyond the agents. We had direct hits on our siding, deck, roof, gas grill, windows, exterior light, and gutter. We had a yard full of tree trunks, limbs, branches, and parts of the house. We were treated very fairly by the Hartford, and despite a few hiccups here and there, we were satisfied with their service. They were pretty good with written communications and two inspections. Our initial check for the actual value of the damage came out fast. The supplemental check for depreciation and a few more odds and ends came just as quickly. Looking back on that claim experience, they definitely did right by us.

There's no one there to resolve the issue on weekends, holidays, or after whatever banker's hours they keep in Connecticut. The phone tree hangs up when it decides I'm done (whether I am or not).
