From the first conversation, Abel was collaborative and creative, designing a fully custom menu tailored to us rather than pulling from a generic banquet list. He executed it flawlessly on the day, which is no small feat at that scale. His pricing was transparent and reasonable, and he worked with us to make everything fit our budget without ever feeling like we were cutting corners. If you're looking for a caterer who treats your event like it's personal, whether it's an intimate dinner or a 130-person wedding, at a venue or in-home. I can't recommend Chef Abel and Elena In Home Catering enough. Beyond the incredible food, Abel is just a genuinely kind and thoughtful person, and that care comes through in everything he does.

Our guest list changed a few times and a few guests had dietary restrictions but nothing phased him. The food was AMAZING (a six course Oaxacan feast), each introduced by Abel. There was an ahi tuna tostada, mole plantain, carne asada taco, branzino with black bean puree, pork shank on potatoes, and a lovely pear puree dessert. All extremely light, flavorful, and interesting. He and his team showed up, took over the kitchen, and kept the whole evening running smoothly. Each course was was well paced and his assistants were friendly and quick to refill a water or wine glass. Abel and his team left soon after the meal had ended, leaving things just as they were before he arrived. Would absolutely use him again and recommend him without any hesitation.
