I absolutely LOVE Kernels Gourmet Popcorn. They catered my friend's pirate party and I was able to taste several of the flavors. Then I had a chance to pop by their shop and grab a few bags when I was on the Eastside recently. I grabbed a bag of midtown mix and frosty. Let's just say that the midtown mix was gone in one sitting... Every single one of their pops is a quality pop with a satisfying crunch. They have several flavors that come in 5 sizes. You have the gourmet flavors that are priced as follows (as of 10/2020): XS $3.25 SM $4.58 MD $9.15 LG $13.49 XL $30 Gourmet flavors include: Country Caramel, Classic Cheddar, Classic White Cheddar, Nashville Hot, Butter, and the mixes which are where it's at IMHO. Music City Mix- Caramel/Cheddar Eastside Mix- Caramel/Cheddar/Butter Rocky Top Mix- Caramel/Butter Downtown Mix- Caramel/Nashville Hot Midtown Mix (MY FAVORITE)- Caramel/White Cheddar/Nashville Hot Indulge Flavors are priced as follows (as of 10/2020): XS/Cone $3.75 SM $5 MD $10 LG $20 XL $50 Indulge flavors include: Frosty, Chocolate Drizzled, Vanilla Cinnamon, or Sweet Heat They also have a gifting option of mini bags that start at $1.50/bag. You can also do gift tins that start at $20 for 1 gallon, $40 for 2 gallon, and $60 for 3.5 gallon. Treat yo'self. I also think it would be a great addition in someone's care package or gift. Great local taste to have in your house or give to guests who are visiting. Can't wait to go back since my midtown mix is gone!

First off, I love Kernels. Second, I love Kernels. Third, I love Kernels. We've picked up a few orders lately and it really hit the spot. We're all trapped at home watching TV, why not do it with some delicious popcorn? Kernels sells your basic pop, but they also sell Nashville hot! Mix it with the white cheddar and caramel and give yourself a nice little treat. Oh, did I mention you can order online and they'll mail it anywhere? I didn't? Well, they can! Buy some for your family and friends. They are also selling popcorn tins. It's the perfect gift, everyone can have a piece. Kernels is a no brainer this holiday season. Call for curbside and they'll bring it right out! They even price so that you don't need change. Small bag plus tax? $5!

    Hard to stop eating this.

I have been to the Kernels Gourmet Popcorn store twice now since COVID-19 started in March. You have to order by calling them and they bring it out to your car. I am originally from Chicago and this popcorn is as delicious as Garrett's famous Chicago popcorn. They have a variety of different kinds. My favorite is Music City, which is a cheese and Caramel mix. So delicious!

    most popular! cheddar, caramel, butter.

I want to truly thank you Yelp for having this business *pop* up on my searches. I AM OBSESSED. I wish I had more baggage space so I could have brought more home. First, park in the parking lot on the left side of the plaza, across the street. I promise you will thank me after when you're watching other customers who parked in front try to back out on the street. Second, TRY EVERYTHING. There's going to be flavors and combos that you didn't think you'd enjoy together but watch out - you're going to end up leaving with four different flavors of popcorn like I did. Cheddar, caramel, vanilla cinnamon, and green apple. I regret nothing! Everyone who pulls up to this little plaza will have the same thought - "am I in the right place?" Um, YES YOU ARE. It's a family-owned place and their customer service has left a lasting impression on me. One of the founding sisters took such great care of us. You can tell she really cares about her popcorn and the fact that she was excited that we were excited about her product was such a delight. Kernels has become a Nashville favorite of mine. I recommend everyone who loves popcorn to stop by and tell your friends!

I absolutely love this place, located in East Nashville. If you love popcorn, then this is definitely one of the spots you must try. They have so many flavors of popcorn. My favorite is Music City, it is a camel and cheddar cheese mixture. Reminds me of Garrett's popcorn in Chicago. In my past experience, the service has been great! The parking is tricky because it's directly off Gallatin Ave. Typically I park on McClurkan Ave and walk across the street. They run out of flavors on Saturday, so get there early in the afternoon.

I love popcorn and I love supporting Black owned businesses. This place gives me the best of both with a variety of flavors. Be sure to pick up the lemon during the summer.

Multiple flavors and they're all amazing!!

When purchasing two bags at the Titans game, we were tracked down by one of the workers on the way to our seats as the purchase had not gone through. Totally understandable; however, she wanted me to stay put out of eyesight from the stand while she went back to the stand to run my card. I was not okay with that, so we followed her back. I watched her run my card two more times minimum, and I had a feeling she overcharged me. She told me to reach out on Instagram or email if the charge was wrong, and sure enough I had been charged twice. I reached out with my receipt info and details of the charge and have yet to hear back...all while they've posted on Instagram plenty more times. Again, the kettle corn was fine -- not bad or I would give it a lower rating. The service really did rub me the wrong way as I followed their instructions to then have to dispute the charge. If they are going to have a social media presence, they need to respond to customers. I'd try it again if someone else buys it for me. Update: I changed my review to four stars as I do appreciate the message to try and make things right.

But after seeing a Yelp friend post their positive review of their much more recent visit to Goo Goo's, I wanted to briefly tell the (Yelp) world that I also had a fabulous time at this Tennessee-based chocolate factory, especially in regards to their build-your-own Goo Goo Chocolate class. If you haven't had their chocolate before, the Goo Goo Chocolate Co was founded over 100 years ago in Nashville, TN and is unique for its disc shape, containing nougat, caramel, peanuts, and chocolate. These huge clusters are absolutely delicious and make great gifts! Surprisingly, it is only about 200 calories for the traditional palm size piece of candy. So of course, I enjoyed quite a few during our chocolate making class! I took this class as part of my sister's 30th birthday bash in Nashville in 2024 with my sister and her friends. For about an hour, our lovely cooking instructor entertained us with his hilarious wit, making us feel giddy and grand as we made some Goo Goos! While the base was the same for all participants, we could add whatever we wanted inside before our creation was drizzled in yummy chocolate. We could also grab some tiny treats to snack on too. I remember putting lots of pretzels, marshmallows, and many others things in mine! Best of all, we were gifted with half a dozen full sized goo goo chocolates as well as a branded apron that is incredibly well made and is my go-to apron even now! Then we also got a discount for the attached gift shop to buy some candy for our loved ones... or for ourselves! I bought a magnet and Goo Goo branded coffee beans. At about $45-55 a person, this is a decently priced experience I highly recommend for all Nashville tourists and locals alike.
