DO NOT USE!! He will not even look at your animal and recommend to euthanize. I called him out August 5th 10am to look at my dog, due to being involved in a fight with another dog. His shoulder was hurting him. He was here for 3 min and told us the best option was to euthanize him because he was paralyzed. I told him you didn't even look at my dog. He went off on saying he has 36 years of experience and this and that. I asked him to just give him pain meds. Later that night my dog was walking around. It's just sad on how many people he made think that euthanizing their animal was the only option. He needs to go back to veterinary school because he lacks the knowledge. After calling both ER vets in town (6-12 hour wait), I remembered Dr. Beshara and his mobile vet practice. I called and left a message with my cat's symptoms. My call was returned within 5-10 minutes and he was at my home in 1 hour. My cat had a laceration to her hind leg that was draining. He cleaned the laceration, and abscess, and sutured her wound. He gave her injections for pain and first dose of antibiotic. He also provided me with an oral antibiotic. Dr Beshara is a very kind man with 30 years of experience. Wonderful bedside manner and is great with his patients. I would highly recommend him. His response time (I'm assuming) depends on the number of patients he has scheduled for the day and the urgency of the problem. I couldn't find any veterinary practice that would either take a new patient or an urgent case without a very long wait. I think one of the most important things he does is at home euthanasia. In my experiences with him, I can't say one negative thing about him. I believe he works everyday...after hour appointments I'm not sure about because I've only needed his service twice during the day. Its an unfortunate day when you need to go to the vet with your animal. Dr. Beshara makes that so much easier in many different ways, he come to you, he charges a reasonable fee, he is personable and, most of all, he practices medicine, not moneymaking. My little dog is 13 years old and was so sick he had lost half his bodyweight over the last several months. over the last year, I have had him in the vet hospital numerous times because he just cant stop throwing up. He was so dehydrated and lacking in nutrients that he could not walk at all. I called Dr. Beshara out and two days later, my dog is almost like new again. He is eating and not throwing up all the time. Dr. Beshara gave me an IV bag and showed me how to use it. He gave me a prescription for an acid reducer (the same one I take myself oddly) and explained the reason for Maverick to be throwing up. He was so understanding and took his time with the exam and got some bloodwork. The solution was simple, give him an acid reducer; why hasn't any of the other vets tried that? Nope, instead everywhere else wanted to have him in the hospital for a few days, run every test known to man only to leave me with "Well, we don't know what's going on. Bring him back if he gets worse" and a bill in the thousands of dollars. Do you know how expensive it is to have a 10lb dog in a vet hospital for two days? Very Expensive! I sure wish I had called Dr. Beshara a year ago so he could fix my dog. And, he was at least a quarter of the price I had paid to the vet hospital. I called him on a recommendation from a friend and she said he was very reasonable and takes the stress out of going to the office, making them very nervous and I don't know how many times the wait was awful no matter which vet we went to. We really like the last vet we had but it was on the other side of town and the office wait was so long. Then when I needed a refill on our heart worm medicine they said they had to be seen!! Really I'm not going in ever 6 months just to pay for them to write a prescription refill. So Dr. Beshara came to the house examined them gave booster shots, kennel cough shot since we'll be boarding them. And an injection for heart worm medicine and the prescription for a Years worth. So my 15 year old dog was bleeding from his bottom and the smell was terrible. He was also experiencing neurological issues with depth perception and I figured he had a really bad infection and it was likely time to put him down, but I wanted to be sure that it was the right choice. The last time we had to go to a vet we were there for 7 hours. Thank God Dr Beshara offers a mobile service. He wasn't able to come until the following day but he arrived in the morning and immediately informed me that it was time to euthanize my dog, and that he was almost certain my dog had cancer and this was the result. He was kind and compassionate, friendly and had great communication. He charged $120 for the visit and exam, $135 for a shot to put my dog at comfort, and $155 for the shot to euthanize my dog. He also offered to take my dog to be disposed of for $90 as I didn't have a spot to bury him in my back yard as I had hoped to do. So all in all, I paid $410 for the visit and $90 to have my dog disposed of with a service. I've been told that it was a steep price but I feel for the convenience and simply not having to expose my baby to traveling and waiting in a vet office it was well worth the cost. Dr. Beshara also stated that he could neuter each of my remaining dogs for $375 each and could do it from my home, and it would include all of the recovery meds and all. Today around 9am before calling Kern Mobile Vet, I literally had called like 6 other Vets, and no one had any available appt today til either tomorrow or early the following week. Finally I decided to give Kern Mobile Vet a call, thinking there's no way he would pick up or even come last min. Reading from the other yelpers reviews, it seem that it would be hard to get a hold of Dr. Beshara but I was so desperate I called anyways, to our luck Dr. Beshara picked up my call on the first ring. He was so pleasant to talk to, he asked me what's wrong with my dog. So I told him that my dog's ear has an infection and a bad inflammation on his skin from scratching so much. He said, he would be able to come at 12:30pm, and of course I immediately took the appt right away. So I was super relieved, and told him I'll text him my address, just when I was about to text him my address, he called back and said he was sorry that he didn't realize that his 12:30pm appt is already booked. He than told me he could come tomorrow, but I said no, I really need to get him checked today, so he pretty much said ok I can try and come at 11:30am. We were so happy he came way before our 11:30am appt. he got to our house at around 10:35am. He checked all 3 dogs, he helped treated and gave my frenchie(the one with the ear infection and skin inflammation) all the shots he needed and he even gave him a medicated bath and showed us how to. I was horrified to have left several messages on his phone and emailed as well and receive no response whatsoever. Even to say that he was unavailable. I could not believe that someone who is supposed to be compassionate would not even respond in any fashion to someone in need of putting their dog down!! Knowing what an awful position that is! I will be sure to let my friends and colleagues know not to contact this person. I wouldn't want anyone to bother with someone who obviously doesn't give a hoot about people in need. He seems too busy or too good to respond. There surely is a reason he doesn't have an office and has gone mobile. And I doubt it's a positive one based on my experience read more
