I reached out to Trust RH Construction and scheduled a meeting with Robert. After reviewing the estimate, we approved to move forward with scheduling the job for August. When the project was finished, my mom was happy to see the finished look. We asked the guys not to worry about painting, as my mom and I are looking to do it as a project together. I called for a Laguna jointer but had no luck. On a whim, I asked about a Jet jointer, which they had. A single one. Today, I drove to the Ideal Saw Works and bought it. The gent on the floor (Chuck) was helpful and knowledgeable and workers partially disassembled it so it would fit in my vehicle. The array of woodworking machines is breathtaking.

We chose the Calatta Bulgari, it had the gold and vines that was not overwhelming, it's very pretty. We were able to choose a countertop for our island, but it was stored in the back and covered in plastic. Even when it was pulled out slightly, we didn't get a full, close-up view. In hindsight, I wish they had used a lift to bring it out into better lighting, like outside, so we could properly inspect it. After installation, we noticed several manufacturing imperfections that weren't visible at the time, along with a small cracked area that I didn't know about and our contractor didn't communicate during pickup. Overall, the selection and convenience were great, but I would strongly recommend thoroughly inspecting materials in proper lighting before finalizing your choice.
