This office and doctor Kerline is the most unprofessional doctor's office I have ever attended. I had an initial new patient appointment back in May 2024 and i quickly realized this place did not have any regard for patient's time. My husband and i both had booked appointments back to back and they ended up pushing out his appointment so we got stuck 2.5 hours there. Additionally, i was told i had a 10.00 copayment, which i paid off at the time of the first visit.
Now, giving them the benefit of the doubt, I went back today to get the "visual field test," which they told me it would take up to an hour. My appointment was at 12:45 pm. There was no one in the waiting room and I got there at 12:30 pm. At 12:50 pm i asked the receptionist why i wasn't being seen and she remarked "how the staff were out to lunch and there is a 15 minute grace period. If i had picked up the phone call for the appointment reminder, i would have been told to come at 1 pm." Mind you, the reminder call did not mention anything about starting at 1 pm, they confirmed a 12:45 pm start time. Additionally, the doctor was back there and just wasting time, instead of seeing me or starting the test herself. Dr. Kerline came out and started to justify how "she does not work on timetables" and this appointment would take up to 2 hours, because it is being charged as 2 visits. So essentially, they would be billing the insurance for the visual field test and her review of the results, even though they are doing everything in ONE day. I found her attitude and disregard for my time blatantly disrespectful. Moreover, i was then told that i owed $40.00 copayment for the last office visit, since this was a "specialist" appointment. I ended up cancelling the appointment and wasting 90 minutes of my time because this doctor and the office have no respect for patient's time and they lack transparency. The fact they were charging me different co-payments for the visits and double counting the visits is very dishonest. I will be finding a new doctor who has respect for my time. If patients can show up on time, doctors need to be held accountable. This is the first doctor who i have heard doesnt honor appointment times or have a time crunch. Most doctors are on a time table because they have patients to see and have to move efficiently. It would be one thing if she was busy and running behind but the fact that there was NO ONE in the waiting room and she was back there just refusing to start the test, is quite frankly, ridiculous! read more
