I had an amazing experience with Dr. Sperling for gum graft using donor tissue. I went in for a consult and they were able to get me in for surgery quickly. Although I postponed the procedure was simple. Dr. Sperling was confident in her ability and it showed. On game day I popped a pill, had my mom drive me over and It was done. I awoke and was good to go. I had to refrain from drinking (and smoking if you smoke) for two weeks and be careful not do so things that caused my mouth to open too wide like eating chewy food and... *gasp* smile. LOL But it was an otherwise easy experience. Only downside was not being able to brush my teeth for two weeks. The mouthwash I had to use caused staining but Dr. Sperling had a hygienist who was able to clean it right up (as you can see in the picture)! read more

Second implant I've had more than my share of painful experiences with dentists (extractions, root canals and fillings, etc.) throughout my 72 years, and so was very nervous contemplating an implant. Dr. Sperling explained the procedures in detail, but that made me even more nervous with a possible bone graft, sinus lift, etc.). One pill and several shots of Novocain later, and I was done...NO PAIN! Unfortunately because of diabetes and a secondary infection progressing to the next tooth, necessitated a bit more work and longer healing time. My general dentist never told me I have receding gums or that there was any sign of early stage gum disease. I figured it out myself one day while I was brushing my teeth. On the left side of my mouth, multiple teeth were almost exposed at the root and my gums were obviously receding. I went to Dr. Sperling for a consult and she was so warm and welcoming- including her staff. She answered all of my questions, checked my gum pocket size and explained to me what the reasons could've been for my receding gums. Given the fact I have good oral hygiene and am very young- just 26 years old, it didn't make sense but the doc told me it was bc of thin gums and aggressive flossing must have caused it. I ended up getting a gum graft on a few teeth. This doc is one of the best docs I've ever been to. Incredibly professional and personable. The day after my surgery the doc texted me from her personal number to ask me how I was doing. One night I had a situation where ibuprofen caused my gums to bleed profusely and I texted the doc at 5 am and she responded immediately. Told me what to do in this situation and let me come to her office the day of, to make sure everything was okay. Turns out everything was fine and it was the ibuprofen that thinned my blood and caused the bleeding. I have healed now and I am happy with the results. I recently was told by Dr. Sperling, that I needed major oral surgery done. The surgery would include an implant, tooth extraction, lifting of my sinus cavity, removal of a large infection, etc. etc. etc. I left my consultation with such anxiety that I didn't know how I was going to get through it. With Dr. Sperling and her team they reassured me that I would be fine. With one pill, I had the 2+ hour surgery in her office. I am so thrilled to say that I had absolutely no pain, and the surgery went fantastically well! Dr. Sperling checked in with me several times in the weekend that followed just to make sure I was OK. It was a total disappointment to come to this office. I came for a consultation and was told my insurance will not cover for this consultation. So I accepted the expenses. However, I got an additional bill later by mail indicating I have to pay extra for the visit plus the x-ray while I was told the whole consultation is not covered in the first place. Really great and professional office. Dr Sperling is great and had explained everything in great care and details. I had gum graft done, and every step of the procedure went great. I was comfortable, knew exactly what she was doing, had everything I needed for recovery time and healing. Coming back few times just to check up on healing was a breeze too. I have been with Dr. Sperling for about 3 years. I have stayed with her because she truly cares about the health of her patient. She took time to explain things to me and was always considerate about my finances. She did several bone grafts for me and is now treating me to prevent furhter bone loss. Dr. Sperling and I agreed to do a sinus lift bone graft on on side for two implant units. The procedure went well. Upon opening the site she found it wasn't what she expected. There was no concerns she simply adapted and after a good amount of bone and a smooth closing and comfortable suturing I was off to recover. The next day the good doctor called me to see how I was doing. My progress was great. I credit that to clear instruction and good work on the doctors part. I was so pleased we repeated the procedure on the other side. After a smooth recovery and time for bone growth I am a man with a mouthful of attractive teeth.
