I am sure that Kerby's is a chain as it has that Big Boy/Denny's feel but with a paired down coney island menu. Clean place, nice service and the food was good with very affordable prices. This location is pretty dead, as the shopping center seems to still be in development, but we love this area for that fact. A little hidden in the shopping plaza but worth exploring when in the area for a quick, cheap bite.

    Good flavor, a bit messy.

The quality of food is good. The service is fine. Love the look of the restaurant. Classic family dining. The Coney's themselves we "meh". The dog was a bit overcooked. Didn't have the "snap". Being partial to the Flint-style coney, I found the sauce flavorful, but quite runny. My dearly deceased father, who made sure i was raised eating "proper" coneys (Lol), would have said, "Son, that's a chili dog, not a coney". He was that picky. Overall, I give this place a thumbs-up.

Clean. New booths and tables. Looks good. Friendly staff. Good food. Prices averages 9.00 a person for combos comes with beverage. Parking easy, bathrooms clean. Worth checking out!

Disappointed all around! Service was less than par! We were seated promptly but sat for 15 minutes without being greeted. I went back to the cashier/hostess and informed her that we hadn't been visited even though other tables that were sat after us were greeted and ordered since this a Coney Island. I would've left but my 93 year old grandma is NOT easily moveable, it's very slow moving. When the server, Beth, approached she did not apologize for our wait... She seemed very impatient with our table and like we were wasting her time. We made it to meal time, food was very bland! Lemon rice soup was a waste of money - it was bland, lacked rice, not strong lemon flavor! Overall the place is disgustingly DIRTY!!! The photos will show for themselves! All shared containers they brought to the tables are dirty. I saw another server drop butter packets on the floor, pick it up and give it to the table... YUCK! Obviously she does this often - she didn't look around to see if anyone saw her or anything. Rest areas bathrooms are cleaner then the bathrooms here! The great thing about reviews... As I wrote this after eating my lunch, the server dropped off the bill and saw my phone sitting on the table with this semi typed one star review. She came back 3 times asking various things.... Refills, boxes, cleared plates. I honestly believe if I haven't done this review she wouldn't have done these extras - for that I'll give 2 stars for trying to make it right after the fact.

She was on top of every single thing we might need without being overbearing, was friendly and gave suggestions on food. I got the Zeus s omelette as you can see in the photo with the option to add gyro meat. Would be called a Greek omelet elsewhere but they have that too...but with green peppers. I think. Interesting. Anyway...as you can see they have a cool way of serving their omelets. Omelette itself was average. Hasbrownd were pretty tasteless and somewhat "mushy." Toast and coffee were good. Coffee was hot and I don't get refills but they were quick and plentiful for those that do. Again, great service! Friends got skillets which were probably better options. They looked great. Food is somewhat overpriced for the area esp since "just" breakfast. Can get bigger portions elsewhere for less. I'd return if friends were going but wouldn't be my choice. 3 stars feels low but then again that's average which it was aside from service.

I'll eat here, but not as often as i would if they polished up their menu/execution. The chicken dishes, all of them, are terrible. They advertise "tender chicken cut into slices," but if you look at any of the pics on here, it's all the same - tiny, little chicken bits, dry and overcooked. The more obscure dishes are the way to go. They fail hard on the basics, but hit home runs on their more unheard of menu items. If you've never heard of something, but it sounds good - that's what you should order here. Chicken lemon rice: 3/10 Not enough chicken, lemon tastes artificial and weird, soup is bland. I've had better CLR at most any coney island. Chicken Gyro: 3/10 Chicken was dry, the orzo was dry and overcooked, tziki sauce was thick and lacked flavor. Plenty of chicken... I would have rather had less chicken, cooked better. I haven't seen their chicken kabob, but it seems like this place uses the thick part of their breast for the kabobs, and uses the scraps bits for all of their other dishes. Grape Leaves: 7/10 Good flavor, good sauce... wish the CLR soup tasted as good as the sauce from the grape leaves. Stifado: 9/10 Excellent dish. Good amount of beef, great flavor, nice stew. This is the dish that I would come back for. Bread basket: Bread: 4/10 - they serve the bread ice cold. Olive oil: 9/10 - excellent flavor, super light, nice lemon zest Service: 8.5/10 - good job. They had one guy for all 8 or so tables, but did he did a good job covering them. The busser/assistant did a good job at keeping our waters and bread full, but he tries to carry too much, and it causes a big distraction (glasses clunking, nearly falling over, re-stacking)... sometimes two trips is better than one... He also says "of course" (pet peeve) when someone says "thank you." Perhaps I'm weird, but I find that terribly dismissive, and off-putting.

Everything we ate from the salad and its dressing to the mussels and the gyro were both fresh and delicious. The mussels didn't seem to be debearded but they were fresh and delicious. And there was one server and the host who managed to provide quality service even with 6 tables coming in at the same time.

I always appreciate a good fast-casual style restaurant that offers an easy menu with good and healthy options, so I was looking forward to trying out The Great Greek Mediterranean Grill in West Bloomfield! Upon first glance, the restaurant looks very chill, well kept up, and has tons of seating options. The staff was also very kind and continually offered to help with anything during our visit. However... I have two main qualms. One is that the price per item adds up very quickly here. You essentially have to factor in that you can probably get 1.5 meals out of a portion, because otherwise, you're paying close to $20 for a single meal of fast-casual food. Keep in mind that most other locations of this caliber in this area would easily have 2 meals worth of food in one entree at a lower price. The food itself was pretty ok - I'd say it met our expectations of what a standard mediterranean restaurant should be. That said... they definitely disappointed us with the wait time. We went in on a slow Sunday afternoon, and though there was only 1 other family in the restaurant, we ended up waiting nearly 30 minutes for our food. Ultimately... I'd probably recommend you try somewhere else -- The Great Greek Mediterranean is definitely casual, but nowhere near fast.

My friend had the apple crisp made with Crown Apple. At $14 it seemed a little steep. I stuck with Jack Daniels and Diet Coke and at $9 that still seemed a little high and enough not to merit a second drink. The Greek has a lot going for it. It has a good vibe with friendly staff. If they can work on the menu a little more and dial back the salt content on the food this place would be on my list of Greektown choices. The road is completely torn up in front of the whole street. I guess they are making a giant patio. That will be cool. But now it's probably killing everyone's business now. The sidewalks are still available but it's a skinny walkway. It doesn't appear at the moment that they are close to completing. Maybe this time next year it'll be done.
