Woohoo! Super fun waterpark! As I was driving to NC from Cincinnati this past weekend, I got off an exit to stop at a gas station and saw a sign for a waterpark. Considering that it was 93 degrees out and swimming is my favorite thing in the world, I couldn't help myself but to go check it out. As I arrived to the waterpark, just a few minutes off the interstate, I quickly found parking and got in line. The line was pretty long but was also moving really quickly. I was pumped that the fee to enter the waterpark was a flat $10 for anyone, of all ages. I paid and got in, easy peasy. Because I had stopped in unexpectedly, I still needed to change into my swimsuit. I was not impressed with their bathrooms. They are very small considering how big/busy the water park is and there are no changing rooms. I ended up having to just kinda change in the area near the bathrooms while people stared at me. Didn't like that one bit. No privacy. There were two showers in the bathrooms but one is tiny with hardly any space and the other was larger (which is where I ended up changing out of my clothes afterwards) but again, still not really any privacy. Once I entered the park, I was super duper happy! I quickly, and easily, got a locker for $6, put my stuff away and headed right to the water slides. I noticed that there was hardly anyone in line for the body slides, so I got in line and within a minute, I was flying down the dark tunnel. It was SO much fun, I was giggling the whole time. I didn't end up going down the tube slides because I knew it was going to be a quick water park trip and didn't want to spend my whole time waiting in line but they looked super fun too. I think there were three tube slides. I was in a state of complete bliss as I floated the lazy river. Although it was pretty busy, it was also mellow and I was able to just close my eyes and enjoy it as I floated around the park. It was awesome because there are also beautiful mountain views from here. There were kids and adults everywhere, yet it felt calm and relaxing. My absolute favorite part of the park though was the wave pool. SO MUCH FUN! I could've stayed in here all day. When the waves start coming, they're big ol' waves and are on for like 5-10 minutes straight. I started in the wave pool but once the waves came, i ditched the tube and just jumped/swam around the deep end. I literally could've stayed in here for hours and been super happy. There are also food and drink options, and cabanas can be rented for the day. I'd love to come here again, what a fun, unexpected part of my day! read more

Actually here right now: great price but waves not coming on in wave pool and only one water slide open in addition to non-waving wave pool. They have a nice, new-ish treehouse-style area/slides for younger kids that was open for maybe an hour when we got here at opening then closed the rest of the day! The whole experience has changed since I was a kid , I guess I was too optimistic. Save your $15 , it's not worth it , it's disappointing. The staff are rude and one female lifeguard made a scene by telling my husband to get off the rope in the wave pool when he was standing 6ft from it ! Then multiple other people were hanging on the rope and holding onto it and the one lifeguard she said nothing to anyone else . The food was not worth the price , especially the pizza. The worker was lazy and didn't want to make a fresh pizza and after I told her I ordered a pepperoni pizza and not a cheese one , she said they were out and that she would make a fresh cheese one and handed me another cold cheese pizza . read more

Just wanted to let you know that we were very disappointed with our visit today. I'm sure you are aware the kids area is close. But the wave pool had no waves!! The lazy river was DIRTY & Disgusting. There were used band aides floating in the water. Not to mention all the trash in the water. It was a health hazard! Which I am also contacting the health department!! We payed full price to get into swim in filthy water. The bags were not checked at the door. Which also is a general concern. Extremely disappointed! My family and I went to Kentucky splash today. My grandsons were super excited about the water slides! My youngest was finally big enough to ride the big slides and none of them were open! If they don't have the rides working they should let you know whenyou buy tickets and at least give you a discount. Don't think we will be going back. read more

Took the wee one over to the Kentucky Splash Water Park in Williamsburg KY for a little excursion. The wife, daughter and myself went along as did our older nephew. We all had a great time at the water park! We had been here many times in the past but it seems to keep getting better and better and adding new attractions and amenities for the folks to enjoy. They've add several new concession stands and a few bridges to get to them along with some newer bathrooms which made the visit all the better. Positives: Inexpensive ($10.00 per person for all day). Small, yet big enough to really enjoy. Plenty of concessions and bathrooms now. Slides, wave pool, lazy river, tadpole island...lots to do. Also batter cages and go-carts next door. Negatives: Fix the parking lot (asphalt or concrete would be super, dirt and gravel...not so much). Some larger trees in the landscape would've been nice (there is very little shade to be had). We had a wonderful time attending with a friend and his children. The park was clean, the food was priced well (zero healthy options though), and you can't beat the price. You get a wristband so can come and go as you need. We enjoyed the wave pool and long lazy river. The lazy river is very wide so it doesn't get backed up which is nice. The tubes are free and located near the lazy river and the wave pool. We all loved the water slides and the lines weren't long at all. The lifeguards were on top of it and jumped in twice to help some children. We will be back next year and we highly recommend this park for family fun. read more

For 10 bucks, you get what you pay for. This goes both ways. Let me explain. Positives: Wave pool, lazy river, and 5 total waterslides. The wave pool is a good sized area and they provide free innertubes for your convenience. The waves are good for about 10 minutes and then they rest the motor that generates the waves for 10 mins. The lazy pool is a nice lengthy track that goes in a counter clockwise direction. Again inner tubes are provided for your convenience. In the middle of the park you have 3 water slides together. The green middle one is a tube basically and you are careening downward through the darkness while being shaken side to side violently due to the curves and drops. I rode this once and that was enough for me. Even my kids did not want to ride it again after the first time. The other 2 blue water slides were more gentle and you have to use an inner tube. Towards the back end of the park there are 2 speed slides and these guys are just as bad as the green one for you are going really fast and are shaken violently all the way down. Negatives: Humans. There are signs everywhere that tells you what you can and cannot do. For instance, the lazy river says children must be accompanied by an adult and has to be on an inner tube. There is no individual swimming or walking in the lazy river. Nobody was following this. Lots of people were either swimming or just walking through. The worst part are the life guards. Those two words are redundant. They are not guarding anybody's lives unless you call blowing your whistle and telling somebody not to drown is the proper description. Sometimes I think they just blow their whistle for the fun of it because they are bored. On several occasions I saw a couple kids struggling in the wave pool to keep their heads above the waves. Good thing some adults were around to help them out. Otherwise, who knows what would have happened. In closing, you get what you pay for. I highly suggest that you keep an eye out on your kids for the life guards do not do a damn thing. There are no refunds for inclimate weather. At least you dont have to pay for parking. So fun! This was our first time to Kentucky and our 48th state. The lines were no more than a minute on any slide. The staff was super friendly. There are no refunds for inclement weather so check the weather report. We got in a solid 3 hours before the lightning struck which was well worth the $10. I have been here several times as we are season pass holders. I think there are good points and some really low points. Pros: park is large enough to have fun with small children and the water slides are large enough for older kids and adults to have fun. The kiddie splash area has several small slides and climbing areas plus a bucket that dumps every few minutes. The wave pool alternates between waves and flat water. It is fun but watch the small ones as the waves can get rough for them farther out. Cons: The lazy river moves well enough but there aren't any rafts with bottoms for small children to sit in and you are not allowed any outside baby rafts. We were asked to remove it. There used to be parent child raft options so your kid could sit and float with you. Arm floaters are accepted in the river. Cons: CONCESSIONS TAKES FORVER! I will try to update with a photo next time we are there. I am not joking here and I've seen other reviews that also mention this. The food options are not horribly priced but the lines are insane. Usually ONE HOUR IN LINE for the simplest things. Also make several choices before you get there as they frequently sell out and don't put up signs to notify anyone. We waited in this hour long line for a pizza and then were told they would be out until a delivery was made from Pizza Hut. So we ordered other food items thinking it would be sometime before the pizzas arrived. While we were at the pickup counter the pizzas came in and they refused to add it back to our order and just take the cash to the register. We were told to wait another ONE HOUR LINE FOR A PIZZA. There are three concessions stands and I've never seen them all open together. Dippin' Dots available but they close an hour before the park so plan accordingly if you want a treat on the way out. Cons: NO OUTSIDE FOOD ALLOWED IN EVEN FOR INFANTS AND DIABETICS. Diabetics sometimes have unexpected low sugars and concessions takes so long I'm pretty sure one would die from hypoglycemia before getting food. Cons: bathrooms and changing rooms. We change at home being season pass holders but others may wish to change onsite. There needs to be an actual changing room and not just showers. Pros: nice camping area for tents or RV with hookups and playground. Cons: just once I would like to see some adult staff running the park and managing things. Teens and college kids are fine with some adult oversight if they have experience with management. read more

We visited this water park this last July for the first time, we were pleasantly surprised at the quality of fun this park offers for the price of admission, we are considering season passes for next Summer. PROS: safe, large pools, great food, shaded areas, lockers, plentiful parking, nearby hotels, walmart, restaurants. This has got to be the worst water park i have ever been too!!!! Firstly during my visit they did not have enough life guards to have both the wave pool and lazy river open at the same time. The life guards had no idea what a height stick was which is highly unsafe and unprofessional. With this being said there where no signs at the bottom of the slides that declared the rules and regulation of each slide. Not to mention during my visit only one slide attraction was open. The tadpole area was also broken and had no water in the area at all. Making the park unbearable for those who had brought younger kids to the park.Half of the ropes surrounding the lazy river were broken without caution tape. This absolutely proposed a huge threat to all little kids that are at the park. Also the establishment had a total of maybe 50 or less chairs at the park which is absurd for how many people they were allowing in the park. They barely had any floats and these floats were used for the wave pool, lazy river, and slides. Over all again the WORST water park ever!!! This was not our first trip to Kentucky Splash. On this trip three waterslides were closed. There were no signs in the lobby to let us know in advance. There was also nothing on the website to let us know, before making the hour trip. Then while in the wave pool, a 12 year old female child, was struggling as the waves pulled her in towards to rope. Her hair got stuck on the rope which caused her to be pulled under. The child was in distress and could not get free. She was pulled under water over and over. The lifeguard did NOTHING to assist this child. She looked at the child, blew her whistle and threw her arms up in the air as to say "what are you doing". The child was CLEARLY struggling. I saw the child and grabbed her by the waist and raised her up so her head was out of the water. She then started to breath normally again. I then gave her the tub I had to ensure she stayed above water and was safe. Another man, came to offer help too. Still no lifeguard. I then escorted the child out of the water as she said she was scared and wanted her Mom. I am shocked and amazed that the young lifeguard did NOTHING to help this child!!! No lifeguard helped!!!!! Yes, their are young college kids that work their but they were very responsible and did not have a cell phone with them. Also, it's a water park you are going to have to walk people. Monday, July 24, 2017 - Not our first trip....not sure if it's not the last.... 1. We decided we would get to Kentucky Splash when you opened and eat there instead of stopping somewhere else. I asked the young man at the door (coming back into the building at the concession stand) what time they would be opening - his literal answer was, "Whenever they feel like it, but should be in a few minutes." Good thing I didn't just stand there and wait longer than about 5 minutes...this was about 11:10 and they didn't open until almost 12- there's no signs on when they would open. Solution: The concession stand up front should be open and ready to go once the doors open. Also, once they open - they don't need so many people running around in there at once - it needs to be run more efficiently not with more people - because many were just standing around. - There were several times we saw many people "working' that weren't really doing much (sitting around, smoking etc - I realize people need breaks, but how could so many need to sit around by 11:45am!) Move some of those people to the concession stand by the wavepool that is never open! People would come to avoid the lines!!!! 2. So, we decided to go get in the water until it opened....the lazy river and the slides neither opened until 11:30 - again, you open at 11....EVERYTHING should be open at 11. 3. As we were walking across the bridge, we looked down and next to the lazy river laid 4...4! dead frogs.....they were about 3 feet away from a trash can - we saw them, the lifeguards could see them, WHY was this not cleaned up at some point!! They laid there ALL day - we didn't leave until after 5pm!!! This says the park is NOT carefully maintained to me - not to mention the trash and debris under the bridges and bushes that were noticeable from the lazy river (at 11:30am - there was not enough time for this to be from the same day). 4. At 4pm, the wavepool was shut down (it was "open" -but the waves were turned off, and it had been working all day prior minus a short time they closed it for an incident of some type) ....only 2 lifeguards were present then with the waves not running....the park is OPEN until 7pm - people pay for the whole experience....WHY would you shut it down 3 hours early....one of the most popular attractions. There were SEVERAL lifeguards just sitting around or in their "office"that could have been over there ... we didn't leave the park until 5:50 - and they never were turned back on. 5. The lazy river had a lot of debris floating in it - not as clean as last year. 6. LIFEGUARDS: It seemed like there were not as many as last year and many were doing double duty...they did NOT seem happy for the most part. *Specifics: 1. Lifeguard - blowing whistles just for fun. 2. Lifeguard at the lazy river, a little girl, upset, prob age 8-10 had lost her mom, all the lifeguard said to her was "Oh, I'm sorry" - no offer to help, to see if this was serious, to get someone else to help or anything! 3. The lifeguards at the wavepool after 4pm - were using their floatation devices as a guitar and the one across the pool used his as a microphone to "sing" - watching each other not pool! read more

By the most part this place is pretty fun. I do have a few complaints.. First of all, this place is really small, but big enough for the price. The next thing is what I'm MOST heated about, the lines for the concession stands are endless. They take hours, not even exaggerating. I stood in one line to just get nachos for an hour. AN HOUR. And guess what they didn't even take the nacho chips out of the bag and they gave me a tiny little cup of the cheese. I was outraged. Waited in that line for an hour for that! Disappointed!!!!! My tips for this is get more workers!!! Foreal.. They don't even put the chips in the plate thing and pour the cheese over it.. It shouldn't take that long. I'm overly heated.
