I would recommend the company, especially Tony, for painting. Not for any repairs. Pros I was very happy with the actual painting. Tony did a good job and would go back over any brush marks or missed spots. Didn't get paint all over. Cons They fixed a large crack in my ceiling by cutting out a piece of the ceiling and replacing it with drywall. They cut all the way through to the attic, and a large amount of insulation fell to the floor. Between the insulation and drywall, every room that didn't have the door closed has a coating of dust. Even in the kitchen, which is 10' away and around a corner. Only 2 random pieces of furniture were covered with plastic. I had to rewash clothes hanging in the laundry room. Some of my curtains were laid across the couch and covered, but some of them just ended up laying on the floor. Then they did a lousy job repairing the hole they made. They got drywall mud on the walls, didn't sand the patch, and didn't paint it. Poured the excess mud in my yard. Took about a month to get someone to come back and fix the patch, thankfully not the 2 guys who originally worked on it. I kept getting excuses that you were sick or on vacation, like you were the one that was going to do the work. I also asked Anthony for a couple other estimates that I never got, not that I would use them for anything else. read more

DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY. I bought a mobile home, and it needed a lot of work. I needed to hire a contractor to get me a working bathroom and do other things that needed done and hired this company. Anothy Hensley is the owner. I was quoted $3K for the job, he started working and later that day he needed $500 for supplies which I paid. The next day when I came in to see what had been done, the whole trailer was gutted, which I did not know was being done. I hired him to get me a working bathroom. He told me he ran into issues, and he will need $10K to complete the job. I was so upset that I didn't have that kind of money. I just paid him $3,500 and now am being told I need $10K - I did not know what to do, we had come to an agreement that he would complete the job for $4K and then I would let him use my card for supplies on my trailer that he needed , so I paid him $8K. I had to pay all the money up front because he said he would not be able to do the job until he was paid. He worked for a few days and then he just stopped. Told me I needed more money for a plumber which he charged me another $700, or he said he could finish any of the work until that got paid, then he needed more supplies which was $216.00 - I paid Anthony $12,416.00 all upfront. He was supposed to get me a working bathroom, hang new drywall up, put some sub flooring down, kilts throughout trailer, baseboards put up along with some other things. NONE of this was completed. The work that was done is so sloppy and incorrect it all had to be redone. I had to hire another contractor to come in and complete the job that I already had paid him to do, which cost me even more money. drywall was not all done, baseboards are not all down, bathroom is not done just a tub set but was hooked up all wrong he didn't put a trap on the tub, he put a cracked porcelain tub in my trailer, sawed and broke pipes and just left them so my trailer I would have sewer gas coming through the pipes. The kilts he sprayed were not done through the trailer, the did not cover up anything, and sprayed my heater all inside, my stove, vacuum, my work fan, light fixtures. The subfloor he put down in spots doesn't have a joist underneath ,and the boards are going to break if you step on them. I can't tell you how bad the job he did on things. Anthony has got me in such a financial mess over this. I have requested a refund, and he keeps telling me he can't give a refund until he does a walk through, but he won't ever meet me to do it. He just lies and pushes it off. I am filing a civil lawsuit against him for all this. I am sharing my review, so people know what kind of person he is. He is not a contractor; his so-called crew is not qualified to do any of this type of work. He needs his business shut down; all he is doing is scamming people out of their money. I've used Kentucky Contracting Services for 3 differing things. First, repairing a hole in my kitchen ceiling. They did fantastic. It took one afternoon, and I still can't tell there was ever a hole in it. Second, installing an external patio door. It also took one day. They did a good job, but when I asked if they could dispose of the old door, I found it was just put on the ground beneath the patio. They did eventually come get it, but several weeks later. Third, I had them relay some tiles in my shower and other bathrooms. I was not happy with this one. I Was told that having the tiles set for 1 day was okay enough to use the shower, so I waited 2 days to be safe, but when I used the shower the mortar began to run out and the grout raised. They came back to fix the issue, but then I noticed that grout was never applied between tiles on the underside of a shelf. I told Kentucky Contracting Services I wanted them to fix this, and was told they would be in contact to arrange a time. It's been months since then so I think it's safe to say they've ghosted me. All-in-all, the dry wall repair was great, the door was okay, the tiles was a terrible decision. Ultimately, I wouldn't recommend them just because they did end up not even fixing the tiles properly and they ghosted me. read more

Don't ever hire Kentucky Contracting Services EVER. DO NOT HIRE. Stay away!!! WORST EXPERIENCE IVE EVER GONE THROUGH You will go through a nightmare for half ass work. Anthony, You quoted us 2-3 weeks IN MARCH. Work began in April. Everything that came up that was either not planned for by no fault of our own (how are we supposed to know you didn't plan to move the water heater, didn't plan how to avoid pipes, didn't seem to know what you were doing at all re planning.) If something came up, we agreed, and we paid. Unexpected electric work, paid Unexpected stair replacement, paid Unexpected "extra" anything, discussed and agreed to as needed. The electrician you sent out was quick but sleazy and tried to hit on me, and when my husband shut that down he refused to come back out and you had to get someone else to finish their work. They installed the wrong kind of lights and we were first told they were "temporary" and then that they would be moved, then we were told the lights we wanted wouldn't work, before finally my husband found the way to make what we ordered- and paid for- work. He is a car salesman, not a contractor. It shouldn't be his job to figure out how to get what we paid for done after being lied to and strung along. Had I not pushed the issue as I did, we would have been stuck with the much cheaper lights they threw on in the first place. The stairs that we paid you $1500 for are literally raw wood. You claim it will cost extra to put trim on them to make them look even slightly better, and that means until we hire someone else to complete the work, the drywall is exposed on each step. There is a gap between the stairs and the wall as well. The stairs had to be redone after the first attempt since they were so bad even my 9 year old daughter hit her head on the ceiling, and you tried to ask us for even more money as a fee to fix your issue. Your men were good- Oscar specifically. The others only came sometimes and some would no call no show when we were told they would be here. The flooring is not waterproof as we requested when we had you out for the estimate. The main water shut off was covered and had to be reexposed. The window openings for the drywall are giant holes- how, as a contractor, did you not expect this considering the 6-8 inch gap between window and drywall due to framing? You won't make them better without charging extra. The baseboards have areas that are completely discolored- yellow and dirty and in the bedroom that was built, there were baseboard sections pieced together without caulk or smoothing it out. There was drywall tape still showing on the area by the washer and dryer, even after they came to "fix" it. We had to sand down a bunch of areas ourselves in order to paint it because the sanding was shotty in a lot of areas. We made a mistake we will never make again , which was to pay you up front and in full. You said 2-3 weeks. This is the 15th week and the work is still yet to be marked "finished". You ignore texts, say you'll send people, say you'll get back to us, and don't. The week you were on vacation, was the ONLY week we had someone on site every day to complete work. I have asked about the advertised free power wash for booking in March or April, and you said something about a flyer code. Then said you'd get back to me because your scheduler needed to do something. Now that my husband left a poor review you are refusing to do so, which is vindictive and honestly it's not worth fighting for, but says a lot about who you are as a person and business owner. In all of the talking with the people who actually came to do work- none of which were you, all I ever heard regarding scheduling was that you told them where to go, and when. And it was often all over the place. You took a vacation that I have a feeling but no proof is why this took so long- you spent all the money we paid you, so you had to do other jobs to be able to pay for what you needed to finish ours. Yeah, my husband used a few curse words. If that is why you have an issue doing the right thing, you are a really bad business person and need a new line of work. Job quality 6/10 Anthony 0/10 Oscar 10/10 I'd hire Oscar in a heartbeat but I'll cut the grass with nail clippers before I ever give you another penny of our hard earned money. So all in all we have paid you ~$15,000 for empty promises, delays, lies, excuses , and to be constantly ignored or put off. Then when you finally get a chance to take accountability, it's more excuses and passing blame and defensiveness. I hope everybody thinking of hiring you sees this. Seriously scummy. Took several months to half @ss installing drywall and flooring in our basement. End result looks awful and he never even finished the job. I tried to get a refund for the work he hadn't done after 2 months of waiting for them to do anything. Anthony decided it would be better to slander my family on Facebook and accuse my wife of sleeping with his crappy electrician. I'd give negative stars if possible. read more

Kentucky Contracting Services has done amazing work in our home! In the summer, they cleared out our entire back yard of brush and leveled it. they also built our pig pen. Recently, they added two extra rooms to our house complete with flooring, electrical and paint and redid our basement into a playroom. We also had them do new flooring for our upstairs and we plan on having them completely gut out and redo our master bathroom and walk in closet. Needless to say, they are jacks of all trades!
