I have recently dined inside this restaurant twice, and the food is absolutely spot on - delicious…read more I find eating in is always better than the take away service wherever we order from. We eat a lot of Indian food, and have used every restaurant and take away in the Borough and beyond. I can honestly say this is the best I have had in a very long time. The staff are so polite and can not do enough for you. For the high standard of food served I think the restaurant needs an update to improve the ambiance. Regardless of this, I can not fault it. They have also opened a restaurant in Dartford town centre where the Court house pub used to be, and I am looking forward to giving it a try. I know the interior gives a nice ambiance and if the food is as good as the Royal Tandoori then the restaurant will be a big success.

'Cuisine' is not a misnomer as it's definitely an upscale curry place that, as well as all your old favourites, also has some exciting new dishes to try. Whilst the location is not salubrious the restaurant itself is beautifully decked out and food served in high style. It's great for a regular or special night out and can get packed so booking might well be necessary at weekends. I went with 3 girlfriends, one of whom is a veggie and there were sufficient choices for us all plus helpful, friendly staff.

The sign said Take Away but down the stairs we found a very cute restaurant. They are going to change the sign! The new Owners took over about 6 weeks ago and have some great ideas. They might add the option of bringing your own wine etc. into the restaurant without the corkage fee. A great idea and we will try that next time around. For now we ordered take away and it was just great. I always have Lamb Korma, Basmati rice and Nan bread with mango sauce. It was excellent,. My old Mum had a chicken curry and it was a big step up from the meals on wheels she is using these days! My husband had a lamb curry and loved it too. We will definitely make Spice King our Indian restaurant when we are in Billericay. Thanks guys and good luck.

We checked in on the lady with the tablet on the right side of the entrance. The left side is for walk ins. Super long line even at 5pm. But they were handing out small glasses of chai and something else. Anyway, the reservation line is short and they sat us right away. We wished we could have sat at the patio - it's covered.
