Truly enjoy their new space, the bottle shop, always have had solid draft beers, the mostly delicious food in the kitchen (especially the burger!), the service is generally above average, the outdoor space is excellent, they have a cafe with solid breakfast options and the bathrooms are stocked and clean! The one star ding is due to not being presented with the total bill with details at checkout, just being presented with the Toast handheld with the gratuity page displaying, so you really do not know what 18%, 20%, 22% etc., is based on or if you want to do something custom. Turns out it's based on the total bill, including tax. Which, I'm sorry, I do not tip on tax, just as I would not be tipping on any fees added to any bill from any business. I firmly believe that tips should be based on total bill BEFORE taxes and fees. I understand that there are those who are on the opposite side of the coin. That's fine, you do you, I do me. Go and have a great time; but, be aware!

The selection is unbeatable - they have an amazing assortment of wine, beer and spirits that it is almost difficult to decide. That is where the exceptional customer service comes in. I am always greeted with a hello and it's never hard to find someone if I have trouble locating a type of beverage I need. One minor complaint - I wish they did not do away with the deli and cheese counters. This was always a nice add when picking up wine or when hosting a party. I hope they bring it back at some point.

I had to pick up a last minute item at Galleria for a party. I found my item and was shocked at the final price. I started doing the math in my head. The price charged was well above the addition of sales tax (10.25%) + cook county liquor tax ( rounding up 5%) and a credit card surcharge ($0.89). I asked the old white man with gray hair and beard why the final total was so high and he said that it was because Chicago sales tax is 12.5%!!! WHAT??? That was a bold face lie!!! I returned the next day to complain to the manager and he said "why do you give a F**k about a couple of dollars"!!! The audacity!!! They are padding their pockets by baiting and switching prices at the register.

This is our neighborhood liquor store. They have little things you might need, such as booze…read more(obviously), toilet paper, water, snacks and so on... Their prices aren't the cheapest, but that's expected since you're paying for convenience. To be honest, you only end up paying an extra $1 or $2, so it's completely worth it to me. If I just need a case of beer or something quick, it's way easier than going to Jewel. It's family owned and everyone who works in there has always been super friendly to us. Overall, this is a great place if you need booze, lottery, or just a quick pick me up. Pro tip - They do accept credit cards, but only for transactions of $7 and up. They have an ATM, but $3 fee + your bank fee. Just an FYI.

But with that comes a lot of different options in the beer/wine/liquor categories. Even better, my can of Underwood wine was the exact same price as it is at Whole Foods, and their beer pricing seemed to be right in line with Target's. A liquor store that's both convenient and economical? I'm a fan.
