This is a pretty large liquor store for the area and it's conveniently located on a main street. However, their beer selection is mostly domestic with maybe a dozen smaller brewers available. I can usually find some New Belgium or Rouge so I'm happy. However, if you're looking for an opportunity to try new beers or you have a particular beer that you're looking for, this isn't the place for you. I don't drink hard alcohol so I honestly don't know how the selection compares. I know I've seen some in a corner of the store I don't frequent but that's about all the help I can be in that department. They do have a decent wine selection though, and I have wandered the isles and asked about finding new wines. It can be a bit hit or miss on the knowledge of the employee. There have been times I've mentioned a type I tried and that I'd like to try something similar and been given several options with full details. On other occasions the person I've asked has no idea about wine at all. The one saving grace of this place is that they have ALWAYS been super friendly. They greet you as you enter, if it's someone that I've talked to before (and sometimes it's someone I've never talked to before) banter usually ensues with jokes and a warm neighborhood feel. This year erred toward a hide the knives kind of night, by the time I left I was in need of a drink (or three). After a failed booze run to TJ's, I headed for home racking my brain for a liquor store that might be open on Christmas. Fortunately, like a beacon, the lights of USA Beverage called out to me. The store isn't huge, but it has a decent selection of beer. You'll find a nice array of domestics in bottles, cans, sixers and cases. If you're on the hunt for craft beer or imports, you'll probably be disappointed; the selection was mostly mainstream brands like Sierra Nevada, Goose Island and Guinness. I was hoping to pick up some Strongbow, but didn't see it or any hard ciders. The one thing I didn't like was that there weren't prices next to many of the items. This place is convenient, but when I'm not on the hunt for emergency booze, I'd probably head over to Famous. They have a much more robust selection.
