Around 5pm on 3/12/17 my son had an dental emergency (a permanent tooth came out due to a fall) I called the on call phone and left a message. Dr. Edgerton called me back about an hour later. I explained that I was at Duke ER and the situation. I explained to him the doctor at Duke was not able to put a split on the tooth because he was not a dentist. We made arrangements to meet at his office after Duke released my son. My son and I sat in front of his office for several hours waiting on Sunday. Scared and in pain, he sat waiting. I called his on call number and left 5 messages. He NEVER SHOWED UP. I called his office the next morning. He excuse was that he thought I was calling from out of state because my number was not 919 area code. REALLY!?!? This is my phone number on my records with you for several years. I was also told that he thought that we were meeting at 8am Monday not 8pm Sunday. Why would someone think that any parent would want their child in pain for over 12 hours especially since was a completely removal of a permanent tooth. It is time sensitive procedure to fix. Waiting isn't an option and he knew that cause he mentioned during our conversation. SERIOUSLY! Instead of doing his on call duties and professional duties per his oath NOT TO HARM, I was told by office staff he was out with friends for the evening. In addition, not only did he chose to not show up at his office but he NEVER bother returning any of the additional 5 calls/messages for assistance. He simply went home after a night out with friends and went to SLEEP for the night. It is sad that I trusted his office with the care of my son. He SHOULD NOT be in practice.

I had X-rays, a periodontal evaluation more comprehensive than any I've had before, and I didn't have to pay anything upfront. They filed my insurance and it should all be covered. Dr. Metzer is professional, friendly, and not out to get your money. I have an old, large, silver filling that is separating from the tooth and she fid not try to talk me jnto a crown or new, white filling, unlike most other dentist whi want to replace all of the old silver fillings ever time you go. When they quoted what my out of pocket would be after insurance, it was half what I've paid for fillings in the past, and again, they did not ask for money upfront. Nice office. Great staff.

I could not get my tooth pulled and Tammy at the front desk was very impatient while I was bleeding numb and having an anxiety attack, asked me for my co pay but didn't have time to print off my doctors note. Definitely couldve been a better experience and they don't sedate you so I wasted 3 hrs here.
