Today I arrive on schedule for my appt and was handed an iPad-type device and the receptionist said they needed some paperwork updated. I assumed it was just the annual HIPAA update which needs to be renewed annually. But this was a multiple page complete medical history that would've taken me 15-20 minutes to complete. I had another commitment immediately following this appt that I did not want to be late for and the office had previously always been right on time. I also felt the questionnaire was asking for way more detail than a dental office needs. After completing a few pages I approached the receptionist and said that if they truly needed this level of detail it could have been requested prior to the appt. Her response, which is what raised my ire was, "Well this is me and I'm asking for this information prior to your appt." A bit snarky, very inappropriate. I will admit to being a senior and not crazy about computerized forms if I don't have the ability to do it on my own device and at my own leisure. Properly responding to their questions (e.g. have your had prior hospitalizations) takes time and reference to my personal records to properly complete. I will miss this office and my hygienist as it was very convenient to my home.

I called on Wednesday and they got me in Friday, that's crazy to me. They were super nice as soon as I got there. The hygienist who actually cleaned better than most (no lie) asked me if I wanted fluoride which I declined. I just don't do extra fluoride and it was "ok". I really like they provide choices of treatments and also share the cost so a person can see if it's in their budget. I mean it was under 20., but sometimes it just doesn't work for the pocket book. I've always thought I needed veneers and Dr made it very clear I had solid teeth and bonding was enough and price was VERY reasonable. It's been a long time I've met a dentist who didn't try to $ grab you. Also this dentist has a ton of experience. He also explains the "why" things happen. I love that. This way I can make changes. Omg! Made an appointment for my son two days later I was so impressed. It's interesting when the front staff and back staff are all so nice one can bet the dentist is as well. I'm new to the area. Definitely worth a shot coming here if you are as well. Oh... how could I have forgotten the two therapy dogs. I didn't see them anywhere so if nervous about hypo-allergy, sweet well behaved dogs , no worries they are never bothersome or even seen but I did have a moment that I was uneasy, as I get with dental visits sometimes. I was asked if I would like a therapy dog. Wow! It was like they held my hand putting their paw next to me. I instantly remained at ease. I wish our old dentist in florida had that for the kids. On 12-18-25, I was informed by the receptionist that I had an approximate credit of nearly $180 due to various overbilling past charges. This was the first time I was notified of this credit amount. I requested a refund on 12-18-25 and that's were the difficulties and dissatisfaction with Dental Works began. It has continued to this day. The office manager told me that it would take 3-6 weeks to get the refund. As of 2-11-26, I have NOT RECEIVED THE REFUND AFTER 7 WEEKS. When I made refund inquires on 2-2-26 and 2-10-26, the office manager showed little concerned about the length of time that had past and an unwillingness of providing a possible resolve to the unreasonable delay in getting the refund. When I asked where do I go as a next step to get the refund, she said there is no number I can call or am unable to make contact with anyone at corporate headquarters regarding this matter. She may have given the impression through her words and actions that my persistent inquiries about this refund matter was a bother and an annoyance. I'm left with no idea when if ever I will receive my refund. Very poor customer service and work practices are presently at Dental Works Strongsville. The customer service at Dental Works has declined greatly since a change in management about 3 years ago particularly with regards to billing and refund procedures. How does one have an accumulated refund of approximately $180 if billing procedures are correct and accurate?
