I have great confidence in him as a physician, and if he were ever to relocate his practice, I would gladly follow him. Unfortunately, as of late, my experience with the office staff has been less positive. Since Dr. Poltorak's former assistant (Rasheeda) left, the office appears to be in a period of transition. Scheduling is delayed due to untimely, incomplete, or absent communication from the staff. This can make the process of securing an appointment frustrating for patients, especially when coordinating with insurance. This is unfortunate because Dr. Poltorak provides outstanding care, and the administrative experience should reflect the same level of professionalism. With additional staff training or improved systems, the office experience could better match the high quality of care that Dr. Poltorak provides. Dr. Poltorak's care is unquestionably 5-star. My concerns relate only to the office staff, which I would rate closer to 1 star. The overall rating reflects this combination and should not be seen as a criticism of Dr. Poltorak's excellent and attentive care.

In all my years as a social worker and caregiver advocate…read morehave I ever experienced such incompetence from a practice that is highly recommended by local physicians. I will say this to caregivers and seniors, please reconsider making an appointment with a black owned business that has compassionate staff or at least real ALL the reviews . You will see many discuss unnecessary paper gathering, illegal practices of insurance authorization, and lack of customer service, as the reason they no longer support this business. Please note Just because our local PcP's are giving referral to this place does not mean this business treaT's patients well. This practice is based mainly on PCP referrals from colleagues. Our doctors are not vetting these businesses, they refer places based on proximity to your PCP...it appears most PCPs in Hyattsville are referring this place...If you look at the recent reviews many attribute poor reviews directly linked to the front line staff...whew, lord! SO DO YOUR DILIGENCE...this may not be your best decision.

For a neurology office it is ironically LOUD (for migraine patients) and the receptionist (a white…read morewoman with a frown and tight curls) was cold, rude, and judgmental. This whole setup is the last thing you want at a doctor's office. Plus, I was an hour early and he was still late to see me, and didn't make much of a dent in my issues. Dr. Iqbal is very patriarchal and commanding, and creepy, staring at my legs and breasts while speaking to me, not my face. He kept calling me a "lady" and said I "am an unhappy person" when I came in...I was unhappy because I had a migraine and wasn't feeling well; that's why I saw him. He also didn't fix my problem in the least.

Where do I start? The administrative failings, or the medical incompetence?…read more I went to Greenway Neurology due to twitching muscles. After a series of tests I was told I was having seizures. I won't even speak to the bedside manner here. I had to report these seizures to the MVA and was told to start medication. I did so, had terrible side effects and stopped driving. Switched meds, again terrible side effects. Went for a second opinion at a wonderful neurology group, the brain and spine institute, with a neurologist who specializes in seizures. He was appalled at how the diagnosis was made in the absence of clinical features (loss of consciousness, etc) and set me up for two nights/three days of eeg monitoring at their hospital. No loss of consciousness found (I've never reported any) and my eeg patterns were all benign. He explained that the short eeg that was done at greenway did show abnormal patterns (also found at my overnight stay) but that it is a benign pattern and absolutely not indicative of seizures. I've since had a mess to clean up with documentation from the MVA which now requires monitoring of my nonexistent seizures. I've missed work and have gone through the emotional stress of thinking I have a serious disorder and managing unnecessary medications. Both neurologists who I have seen outside of greenway, the seizure specialist and the neuromuscular specialist, have raised eyebrows at how the initial diagnosis came to be and at how quickly I was put on medications. A diagnosis was made based on one piece of information alone, which should not have been done. The abnormalities are called wicket rhythms and are not related to seizures or of concern. My diagnosis for the muscle twitches after careful testing is benign facilitations and is unrelated to any type of seizure. In addition to the gross incompetence of diagnosing me, medicating me, and removing driving unnecessarily, I've suffered extreme wait times at Greenway, causing me to miss appointments. They often have you wait in a closet area with medical files and a vacuum cleaner. There was also a rude office staff. So, when eventually I was told that I owed 75$ after all of this for a missed appointment, I was furious. I have placed multiple calls to the office who directs me to billing. Multiple calls to billing who direct me to the office. I'm to the point that I'm feeling it necessary to make a complaint to a licensing board and am so frustrated and just want to be done with Dr. Iqbal. Please get a second opinion and do not trust this man.

I was going to give them the benefit of the doubt about other things like them refusing to go over results with me over the phone and requiring I come in for an appointment to discuss my results. The results ended up being something that can absolutely be discussed over the phone so it was a complete waste of time and gas. I got there on time for my first appointment and still had to wait over an hour to be seen as well, followed by the most painful pap smear I've ever experienced. Also, just found out today I owe $115 for the "follow-up appointment" that SHOULD have been a phone call. It took a total of 5 minutes to review and the doctor was rude and dismissive with my questions. I've never heard of a doctor charging to go over results, let alone over $100 for it. This is a complete scam and unethical. I've called multiple times now and have not had any of my concerns addressed.

If you are expecting a physical therapist, you…read morewon't find any here If you need a chiropractor Glenn Berkeley is kind and explains things in layman's terms. I arrived early since I wasn't sure of the exact location & I knew there would be mounds of paperwork. The receptionist didn't have to let me in early but she did. She is easy going and nice. She is fluent in Spanish, if that helps anyone. The practice has a media device that allows you to touch a picture of a skeleton and then answer questions about the degree of pain. It is handy and much more convenient than mounds of paperwork (I only had half a mound). The chiropractor was easy going and had a sense of humor. He checked on me several times during my treatment. The practice has several locations and evening/weekend hours. In Maryland Chiropractors are allowed to perform physical therapy treatments. I did not realize that when I booked the appointment. I had expected to meet a physical therapist. The furniture is outdated and drab. The building is old and the elevator needs a pacemaker. There is plenty of parking and the medical building is walking distance to Aldi & the post office (not that I will walk there). The location is conveniently located in between Takoma & Langley Park. I was sent home with a neck/head support pillow & hot/cold pack sent home with me. If you need a chiropractor who has a physical therapy program, you can find one here. If you want a physical therapist, look somewhere else.

When I called to make an appointment the woman was very kind and helpful. She was able to put me into the schedule for the next day! They are very accommodating and easy to work with. The parking lot for the building was a bit crowded but I was able to find a spot. I arrived about 30 minutes before my appointment. When I entered I was greeted by the receptionist. I signed in and soon after I filled out some paperwork and the receptionist explain how to use a tablet that would record my history and current areas of pain. They accepted my insurance and I paid my copay. The waiting room is a bit dated but it is still kept clean and neat. About 15 minutes after I arrived I was called back by Dr. Berkeley. He was very cheerful and personable. He made an effort to get to know me but also to listen to my areas of concern. After a quick examination, he led me to a room where I laid down. He applied some type of small probes to my areas of concern and then laid a heating pad on top. The probes pulsated which allowed for my muscles in that area to relax more. The feeling was very calming and relaxing. If it wasn't for my sporadic muscle spasms from the probes I might have fallen asleep. About 5-10 minutes later Dr. Berkeley came back in to check on me. I laid there for about 15-20 minutes max. When he return he had me lay in different positions while he adjusted my body. It was never painful and was over very quickly. Afterwards I felt a lot less tense and "normal". He advised me to drink lots of water to flush my system and return to see him on a as needed bases. Overall I had a really great experience and will be returning to visit Dr. Berkeley whenever I need. He really would be a great choice for your chiropractic needs.

I have worked with two great Physical Therapists and two great Occupational Therapists. OT's were Roxy and Jorge (George) and the PT's are Dr. Calvin Baxter and Suki. Suki is the one I am currently working with. What I love about this group is that they are constantly learning. I need a PT with dry needling experience. Dr. Baxter and Suki have that. Also what I love is that the PT's spend time with you. Once the Tech's take over, the PT's are available should a problem arise or if there are a questions. The Tech's are great as well. They guide us and assist us to make sure we are doing the exercises correctly. They are a great support as well. They listen and help according to whatever the need is.
