After waiting for an hour for my early-afternoon appointment, I asked how much longer it would be and was told there had been an emergency in the morning, and they were running behind schedule. I completely understand that medical emergencies can happen and affect scheduling. However, no one from the office called me in advance to let me know and offer to reschedule, nor did anyone mention it when I arrived. I had taken time off from work and had raced to the appointment. I came to Dr. Kenneth Lippman in Westport, CT because he was the only doctor in town that accepted my Charter Oak insurance. He is a superb doctor, who doesn't let the time constraints of being a physician constrict his approach to medicine. I came to him a few months ago as a type two diabetic needing insulin. He took the time to talk to me over the next month and a half, giving me the knowledge about how to manage my condition.
