Signing up online gives you priority. I was surprised to see that there was no staff member available upon entering. Guests had to sign in using a kiosk machine which is not user friendly to all people. Especially those who struggle with technology. I had to help multiple guests while I was waiting my turn. The small office space with 5 chairs had about 9 people in the room plus people waiting outside the office. It took about 10 extra minutes past my scheduled time to be seen. Staff was lovely. I was very disappointed to see four urine samples lined up in the bathroom when I had to go do mine. I was told to leave mine with the others. That is unsanitary and there's a potential for urine to be tampered with.

I figured if I was on the med each day I should check my blood glucose level. Two years went by without the doctor reaching out to me to do blood work. I found a place that would pay for my diabetic supplies and all I needed from his was a form signed and dated. That started June 10th and it is now July 15th and nothing. I've spoken to the office on 4 separate occasions with no reply. So I went there yesterday cause I needed my files to be faxed to the new doctor. I have my appointment for the 16th but it takes 30 days to get my whole folder to them. Which all it is...is putting on the fax machine and hitting send. RIDICULOUS!!! Then I asked for a copy for my records. Ohhh you have to pay for that. Again RIDICULOUS!!!! I was told the form for diabetic supply's wasn't signed cause the doctor was on vacation. I see he must have had a doctor on call that could of answered me. And the last answer I got was our fax machine isn't 100%. I said if your a doctors office it better be 100%. It's like they are playing with people's lives. And lastly I needed a letter for disability. A whole month went by then I get a call...well you haven't seen him in two years so that's why he's not doing the letter. Always an answer for this guy and the answers don't cut it. I wanted to lay down which was fine but after 7 vials my veins didn't want to acquiesce she was horrible as I felt unwell she said "good job my colleague isn't taking your blood- she wouldn't put up with your nonsense" she walked away and when I asked her to help get me a chair she said I can't get a porter and I was afraid to get myself up and get out of there in case I passed out I used my cell phone to call front desk and a porter arrived and wheeled me to the car which was just outside the main entrance I had water in the car and I lay flat on the back seat until I felt okay to drive this was a year ago snd I forgot about it until my dr sent me for a new blood test but I said please send me to any lab but not the lab In Norwalk hospital- hopefully the rude woman is no longer there but I'll never forget her for all the wrong reasons

It sounds crazy, especially coming from…read moreme, the person who's so deeply terrified of doctors that it took a full 8 years to elapse before it seemed reasonable to schedule a routine checkup. So, here am I, in need of blood work and dreading the date like it was my own funeral. While it did take 30 minutes for me to be seen, I was so utterly paralyzed with fear that I could have probably sat for half a day without noticing. I warned my phlebotomist right away that I wasn't going to be an easy case, but she was wholly unperturbed. Down the hall we went, to a room with a reclining chair to catch me in case I should faint, although I'm relieved to report that it was ultimately unnecessary. It took only one jab, and it didn't even bruise, days later- A small miracle since my skin is whiter than a sheet of computer paper. The technician even went out to reassure my escort that I was taking so long because I had died, but because I was using the bathroom afterwards. I deeply regret not getting her name; I'm so grateful for her skill and geniune kindness.

I explained to another tech I had checked in by phone from home in time- that I added myself to the waitlist after the cut off because the screen did not have my name. Other patients and I are blown away they would not just take me and make a one time exception- and instead they kept pushing back, "called a supervisor" and said I had to wait. Horrible customer service- a smart place would have just helped me considering my long time history. I get not wanting people to abuse the system, this was a unique situation. I will be going to the Black Rock location (with much higher ratings) moving forward!
