My "physical" lasted roughly 3 minutes, where after asking me my height & weight he just wrote down for me to go get a blood test and come back a week later. He appears to just look to get patients in and out as fast as he can so he is able to bill your insurance company. Which was evident in him seeing 5 different patients in the first 15 minutes I was in his office. If you are looking for someone to just write you a prescription without actually being checked out by a doctor, he's your man. If you are looking to be actually seen by a doctor go else where. I wish I checked his yelp reviews before going to seeing him, its evident the type of service he provides.

However the office and the employees are another story. Most are interns that come and go. Let me say that the relationship you think you have with your physician can quickly be ruined especially when you have an issue or question. This happened to me today. I simply called and spoke to Wendy about a couple of office visits. Some of these visits were less then 3min. I perfectly understand insurance but requested to speak with Dr. Kim on a issue. When that happens it turns into money not the relationship. Wendy quickly got back on the phone and stated she spoke to Dr. Kim and she said unfortunately she cannot do anything. All I wanted was a quick chat. In conclusion look for at least a more up to date,private,professional office. I never really felt any of these factors until I was treated like a number today and not a 20+ year patient. I will never return to this office.

He's a excellent old school doctor that ends up being a close friend to many of his patient's. I don't believe I would be here on earth if it wasn't for him. However I called back and they said that they were going to call a mediation to my pharmacy. I go the pharmacy and nothing was called so naturally I called them back. Some rude assistant picked up trying to rush me off the phone and she said they never called the prescription because the dr wanted to talk to me. I said I wished you called to let me know. She got so rude on the phone and saying she doesn't have time for that and that they are short staffed. I said please do be snippy with me, and as I was speaking to make an appointment she hung up. So I called back, I don't know who picked up (most likely the same person) I said why did I get hang up on, and she hung up again for the third time. Someone called me from the office and without asking me what happened stating that I am being rude to the staff. I laughed because at this point it was funny. I explained myself again, and made an appointment that I cancelled right away .this was just for a physical appointment , what if I was sick and they act like that again and again ....I was going to ask to be a concierge patient, but they don't need my money I guess. He and his staff have always been very responsive and understanding with terrific "Bedside Manner". I took advantage of and enrolled in a Concierge Physicians program to which he belongs. The service offers several benefits. One of the most important benefits for me is virtually instant accessibility to him and/or his staff 24/7. I would recommend Dr. Saunders as a very competent practitioner of Internal Medicine as well as a down to earth General Practitioner or Primary Care Physician.

I'm also diabetic and while I see an endocrinologist regularly for that, she was very attentive to my diabetes and wants to stay updated on my endocrine appointments. As for my grandmother, when my grandma passed, it was Dr. Nwangwu's who listened to her symptoms and really investigated. She was able to help find the cause of her pain shortly before her passing. It was unexpected and the answers came as a result of the thorough labwork Nwangwu had ordered. I've never had to wait longer than 15 minutes (I've visited the office probably 6 or 7 times this year) and when I had trouble initially and misunderstanding with my insurance claim, I questioned my bills and they reviewed each claim with me. I was even offered a discount on my portion since I'd felt there had been some misunderstanding regarding my insurance/initial visit. She's great.

When I got up to inquire if I'd be seen next (this was after waiting an hour and a half) the receptionist acted as if I was bother her and how dare I even ask such a question. The staff is extremely rude and unprofessional. When I finally was seen by the nurse, I was with her for about 15 minutes, and I'm being generous on the time. She sent me for blood work and told me I didn't need another appointment and once they got the blood results they'd call me if necessary. Well, after waiting days, I still hadn't received a call. After my THIRD attempt to call and speak to someone (oh, and this was after I called and was placed on hold for over 15 minutes; finally I hung up and just called back since they probably forgot about me) I was told all my results were fine but to schedule another appontment for in a month. When I asked why since that isn't what the nurse said the receptionist quickly changed the tone in her voice and let the attitude come out... Needless to say, I'm now seeing a new PCP and just went for new blood work since the previous requested work wasn't thorough and most likely IS an illness while this office was so quick to say everything was fine.

I was returning a call to Dr. Gentes' nurse, and Amy told me that I could not leave a voicemail, which I had done about a month previously. She did not give my message to the nurse, who called me, and was very upset that she never received the message, it not only has caused a significant amount of wasted time, but has also compromised my care.
