Unfortunately we LEARNED AN EXPENSIVE LE$$ON. Key points in this review *Appointment moved back a day because Elliott roofing had to move it. (24 hrs notice) *Crew late - appointment was for morning - showed up at 5 mins til 5pm. I called to confirm they were coming every hour after 12 noon. *Nails left in yard (My two toddlers in my backyard daily) *Shingles mismatched -Very noticable (see pictures) So at the end of the day did our roof get repaired.... Yes. Did it fix the leak...still to be determined as it hasn't rained. If it needs repaired again I will update this review. Sadly we used Elliott roofing after I trusted the words that the guy who inspected it (Hollis) and sold me on his company. I was sure we would get great service and a great job done. He explained that the shingles would be very close to where we wouldn't notice a difference in the shingles. However when the crew showed up and they argued about the shingles being the wrong color.... I don't speak great Spanish but I did catch that. -1 Star The nervous me started calling on the hour after noon struck and I hadn't heard or seen anything of a crew being late or even coming at all. Poor communication in my perspective. -1 Star Anyone reading this have small children? Imagine them going to play in the backyard only to discover a plethora of nails the crew left behind scattered around the patio/grass. Makes you feel good and safe huh? -1 Star So I call and talk to a very understanding Amy (not sure of spelling my apologies) she says the invoice that went out might be able to be adjusted after I had called her shortly after the crew left. She was to get back with me the next day.... That took a few days for her to get me the unfortunate news that the invoice is what it is. Yeppers you read THAT correct. Nothing can be done about my experience. Hopefully now that you have read my review you can make a decision to go with a different company as I should have and will continue to do business with after my expensive LE$$ON. If you have any questions - please don't hesitate to reach out! I would hate to have THIS happen to anyone else! I did not realize my family was on the deserving end of this type of treatment... Like other companies, they were prompt at coming to the house and providing a quote. Price wise, their quote was in the middle of the other vendors. One of the reasons I selected them is their communication, availability, and reasonable/competitive price. I was also impressed their quote included the exact same items that my "initial selected vendor" provided. A Better Way did not have the adjusters findings, but their quote covered all the adjuster had listed. That was affirmation to me that A Better Way is thorough. I did some research by looking at reviews, checking BBB, and requesting insurance coverage for the companies. Even though A Better Way is fairly new (I think April 2024), that did not scare me off. My thinking is that a new company would be inclined to do a great job to develop a good reputation as they grow. I was impressed with my communication with Hollis who answered my questions and shared his knowledge. We talked about pros and cons of options with a focus on the prevalent and variable weather in OK City. I wanted to have the roof installed prior to the end of the year. We set an appointment for the day after Christmas. The crew showed up and started the work around 7:30 a.m. My tenant said there were A LOT of workers, maybe 7 or 8 people. This made the installation go quickly. I think it was because possible rain was in the forecast. I definitely appreciate they were completed before the light rain started. Overall, I am happy with my interactions with A Better Way and the installation of the roof. I would easily recommend their roofing services.

The job was finished within a week, Billy was paid approximately half early and final payment when or before he finished the job for a total of $23,600.00. A lien was filed on my house in April in the amount of $8,122.70, unfortunately he didn't pay the material supplier, I'm not sure about the labor. Billy has repeatedly lied to me for 18 months about taking care of this. My advice from personal experience is he is a liar who cheats his suppliers and customers. By the way the gentleman whose referral I trusted was extremely disappointed in him by this story.
