I was pleasantly surprised with my visit over the summer…read more If you're expecting Disneyworld, lower your expectations. The kiddie area was perfect for my young kids. The rides operate on a rotated schedule. So half the rides are closed while the others run. Not a major problem. There's enough open to occupy families. I was shocked that the Wild West show is still going strong. A right of passed for every WNY child. Not sure if hearing gunshots from the kiddie area or water park is appropriate in this day and age but OK. The waterpark stole the show for me. There are slides or pools for every age. A small food stand with the usual fried food. It was clean. And there were lifeguards virtually every five feet. I felt very safe with my kids in the water (which was ice cold but refreshing on a blazing hot day). The train that goes around the park was enjoyable. Pretty cool can you use it for transportation from the camping lot all the way into the park. Do I recommend coming here frequently or buying a season pass? probably not. But I strongly recommend every family in the area stopping for a full summer day.

Multiple people in our group and others around us were stung while waiting. There was no way to get away from the bees, even in the ride lines. On top of that, many attractions and concessions were closed, leaving very little to actually do. When we brought concerns to management, there was no real help or solution offered. For the price of admission, this experience was unacceptable. I would strongly caution families (especially those with young children) to reconsider before coming here until these issues are addressed. It's absolutely not what it once was.

It is a simulated flight over Niagara Falls and several famous sites in the area. It reminded me of Soarin' Over California at Disney California Adventure, which is one of my favorite rides, so I had an idea of what to expect from the motion and ride style. However, the visuals and overall experience were even better than I expected. The ride gives a beautiful overview of Niagara Falls and the many attractions, landmarks, and scenic places visitors can explore. I honestly think this should be one of the first attractions tourists do when they arrive, because it gives you a great sense of what there is to see and can help you plan the rest of your trip. The immersive, multisensory experience made it feel exciting, beautiful, and memorable from beginning to end. The staff also made the experience even better. Everyone I encountered was welcoming, friendly, and helpful. From start to finish, the service was excellent. I still have more time left to explore Niagara Falls, but Niagara Takes Flight is definitely one of my favorite attractions here so far. I really enjoyed it and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Niagara Falls.

We enjoyed exploring the variety of rides, though because our visit was at the end of the season, not all rides were available. Regardless, we had a great time. The Viper and the Predator were favorites from our visit. Lines were barely forming when we first arrived and kept moving nicely throughout the day. The kids area is very cute with a nice variety of rides. The staff we interacted with were all pleasant and helpful. The park has a good-sized parking lot with some EV charging stations available.

It's always been a charming, manageable park with reasonable wait times. You can easily hit both the amusement park and the waterpark in one day, which is a huge win. Compared to Canada's Wonderland, which I also grew up going to, we definitely prefer Darien Lake now. Wonderland's crowds are out of control, and it's just not worth the hassle anymore. At Darien Lake, you actually get your money's worth. The coaster lineup is solid for a smaller park, with highlights being: Ride of Steel Tantrum Viper The Predator Plus lots of other fun rides scattered throughout the park. As for the waterpark, it was just okay this time. The Lazy River is fairly basic, and two of the more popular slides were running slowly, causing bottlenecks. Not sure why, but the water was freezing cold, especially on slides like Tornado, still a great ride, but would've been more enjoyable with slightly warmer water. Yes, the park is a bit dated in areas and could use some TLC, but despite that, Darien Lake continues to be a lovable and worthwhile spot. Whether you're going for nostalgia or just want a fun, full day without the chaos of bigger parks, this place still hits.

I had never been here before in in spite of frequenting the Chautauqua area, my whole life. But, I finally had an occasion because my tiny niece was the perfect age for this place. There were a ton of rides that were perfect for her as a three year-old. Also, they had rides that were good for ages 4 to 6 as well. She really enjoyed the little roller coaster. Watch out that it is actually a little rough for the adults to ride on because it does jerk a little. Also, there were some really cute little boat rides, including one that took took the children around in a circle. There was very little that she was too small to ride on, so it was completely fantastic. Also, we were able to get her a wristband that gave her all inclusive access to rides. For a few rides that do require adult accompaniment for littles, the adult gets to ride free. There's a food spot towards the bottom of the hill and I highly recommend it. I was able to get platters of fries and corn, dogs and pizza, for not too much money. This is a clutch when it came to reducing the chance of overstimulated little kid meltdowns. Also, it was very sunny, and there was very little shade, so bring the sunscreen. Also, they have free boat parking. So, boating over and walking in is a great option if you happen to have or be renting a boat.
