Kenmark homes are a truly outstanding builder. They were great to work with during the purchasing process (thanks to Cody) and, what's more, have been wonderful in remedying any warranty claims we have had since moving in. To be clear, we are very satisfied with the quality of our home so far, Kenmark did a stellar job and my wife and I are absolutely in love with all the unique little touches that you'll have a hard time finding with a run-of-the-mill builder. However, every new home has a handful of niggles to dial-in, and Colleen, who oversees this, is tremendous. Highly organized, accessible and responsive- we were really blown away by the level of service she provided and would recommend Kenmark to family and friends just on the basis of the professionalism and efficiency with which she remedied our requests/concerns alone. Finally, on the occasions that I have called Kenmark's head-office all members of their team I spoke with have been exceptionally friendly and competent. I waited one year to write up this review until our warranty expired to ensure that we gathered the entire full picture of the experience with Kenmark. This home purchase experience was awful from the start. Below is why. - During building, we paid for several upgrades that were not in place. Had to be re-done. They fixed it, but still caused a lot of stress. When you pay for $10k of upgrades and see none of them ... it's kind of hard to sleep .... - After building the warranty / repair process was abysmal. They'd show up late, not respond, or ask me to troubleshoot the device we paid for (while I'm at work or driving around). I'm at work, I can't just have people randomly stopping by my house. I'm busy. Setup a schedule or call ahead of time at least. I've had to cancel meetings with my clients because of this. Many times. - many items had to be fixed several times (some 3x) - the home itself is nice ... but their warranty process sucks hard and is borderline criminal in my opinion. - Wasn't given any documentation for who to call on move in. So we had to pay for repairs out of pocket when they broke. Keep in mind this was within a week of moving in .... They blamed us for this, by the way and never even apologized for the inconvenience. Kenmark then refused to compensate us for these repairs. We told both our sales and warranty representatives who just shrugged it off. Like $300 is no big deal. I still have the broken parts in my garage ..... I took photos, showed invoices all for nothing. Wouldn't even consider offering a percentage for our troubles. - Third party companies reviewed their work and either commented on the bad craftsmanship or quality of the parts themselves. Terrible experience all the way around. I cannot recommend Kenmark. This is my first custom home so maybe this is normal for the industry. If it is normal, I'm never going through this again. I just can't stay silent about our experience. Sorry. I know and realize we all work and live in challenging times as of now ... but it's just no excuse. I work hard and work almost every single day to please my customers (in these challenging times). Kenmark doesn't care one bit. And it shows. Once you sign the contract and get keys .... You are just an annoyance to them. If you just want a home and them to go away, Kenmark is great. If you need a company to build a house, respond timely, and genuinely care about their quality of work .... I'd look elsewhere. As of now, we are just going to hire people to fix the mistakes we have been left in the dark on. If you intend to use the warranty program, buckle up for a fun ride, excuses, and delays for everything. I wish we went with a different builder. Go look at my history of reviews. Refused to fix my garage door paint peeling all over my house the list just keeps going on to bad I can't leave zero stars

Would not recommend, at all. My family forfeited $1,000 due to their incompetence. Luckily we made the decision to bail within the 30 days so it wasn't more than that. Sales rep was a complete disaster, had no idea what she was selling. Took zero notes. Basically was there to sit on her phone & seemed annoyed when anyone would ask a question or walk in the front doors to their demo house. Such a shame because my wife & I loved the homes they build, but the entire experience for us was a disaster & the only person within the company we could speak to was the sales rep. read more

I recently purchased a new home in Weatherford, TX from Kenmark. As a first time home buyer this entire process was completely new to me, but the entire Kenmark team has been absolutely wonderful to work with. Jeff in sales was just a really nice person to work with in general and was incredibly patient in answering all of my questions. He was always available to help in any way that he could throughout the entire process. You can tell he really cares about the customers he works with and their home buying experience. I had a few minor issues to be addressed at move in and the builder team Andrew and Trey have been extremely diligent in making sure everything is addressed and taken care of and seem to really want to make sure that I am happy and that everything is perfect with my new home. They have truly exceeded my expectations in every way possible, not to mention they did a beautiful job with my house and I am absolutely in love with it. I wouldn't even give them one star if I could. Seriously the absolute worst customer service I've EVER experienced. They messed up on our plans and acted like it wasn't their fault (see text message that it's not their fault) and WE (the customer) worked so hard to try and make it work with them. Not timely. They are liars because they say some things are free and what not. It's all made up. They ended up canceling our contract AFTER THEIR MISTAKE. Truly I'm so disappointed. DO NOT BUILD WITH THEM. They are crooks and horrible to work with and don't care about their customer. I've heard this from plenty of other people who have built with them and we should've listened. We feel they wanted out of our contract due to lumber prices going up after signing contract and wanting to find someone else to make up their loss. read more

We purchased our home in July 2019, it was not finished at the time but would be ready by the end of July for the walk thru. Everything was done to our requests and we moved in Sept 1,2019. Like all homes there were some pick-up items to be resolved....Colleen their customer service lady did a fantastic job of getting things corrected we cannot say enough about her getting all the different contractors to come out and get things done. We moved from Colorado to Texas to be near family, because we were expecting our first baby. This was our first home purchase as well. Debbie made our first time home buying experience so wonderful by accommodating us with every need and beyond. Because she knew our baby was due around Thanksgiving, she even finished building the house few weeks early so we can be ready for our baby and celebrate Thanksgiving as a family. Where to even start!? We have been building with this "BUILDER" if you can even call them that! For almost 9 months. We had heard the stories of how they will terminate your contract with out any reasoning! Well today! One week from closing they decided to terminate our contract. When asking the sales agent, he informed us that it was due to concerns we had brought up and the blue tape we had placed at the house during our initial walkthrough! We raised a question with people driving over the driveway that had been poured the night before! Pointed out all the gaps between the baseboard and flooring. Water leak in the kitchen ceiling. How they tried to plaster and silicon all the holes and gaps in the sheet rock vents or light switches. We understood that a walkthrough is to point out defects to get them addressed, little did we know! If you bring anything up, Kenny, will take offense and terminate with out having a conversation with you! If you want a builder that you will have to walk on eggshells and pray they don't terminate your contract... go with KENMARK! We locked a rate at 220 a sqft and lord forgive me if I am wrong but I whole heartedly believe they terminated to get more money on a house we had locked into! Kenmark! I should have listened to all my instincts and never should have entertained a build with y'all! You all need a proper lesson on business etiquette! But I'm sure y'all will continue to skate by with no regrets on how you operate! read more

This was my 2nd home purchase ever and my first new home purchase. We got Jeff Gordon as a sales person and he was amazing. We bought in new timber creek estates n Godley TX. We worked directly with him to design the house the way we wanted it. They worked with us on a contingency of selling the other home and didnt have any issues when our closing was pushed back because of it a few days. They also actually threw in upgrades without us asking. They also have worked with us fixing any small issues we have run into. I would recommend them and especially Jeff Gordon to anyone looking for new home purchase. read more

Bought a family home this year from Kenmark. The value is ok. However; their warranty department leaves much to be desired. There were a few minor things that needed repair at closing which was promised to be done without any issue. I had to call repeatedly to get these issues fix and their contractors failed to show up many times to the scheduled appointment. Very disappointing. read more

Just moved in to our AMAZING Kenmark home we can not say enough about how professional everyone was in helping my wife and I into our dream home. With this being our first home and first build the Kenmark team made everything simple easy and down right worry free. I can't say enough good things about Jeff Gordon helping us with every aspect of the home building process with out him answering calls, texts, emails and every other form of communication this surely would have been stressful but it was 100% the opposite. I am truly thankful for Jeff's time and patience with us, explaining the entire process and what to expect before we even started then continuing with communication through out the entire process answering every question with out a second thought no matter how small the question was. I would think twice about choosing Kenmark Homes. We recently choose them to build our "custom" home. Our main problem with Kenmark is their customer service and timely repairs. I never thought that the repair/finish list would have taken exactly a year to date. My main frustration was the simple fact that I wanted whom ever was coming over to make repairs to call before coming over. Many times they claimed that they came by and that they had no answer when knocking at the door -- Well do you think maybe if they would have called in advance like I simply asked, that I would have been awake/ home to answer the door? Then---- at times I made arrangements to be home at a certain time and the repair people were either hours late without notice or never showed. During the final repairs, one of the things on the list was the door bell did not work. Well -- even after reminding the "person in charge of repairs" that it doesn't work a few times -- they claimed to have come by the house and did not have an answer (duh- the doorbell doesn't work it's on the list and reminded them the same day). I believe ONE fix to that problem would be to find- Bill a new place. I tried to be very patient with him -- then after many times of re-explaining and repeating the same information to him-- it got old. It seems like the only time that any repairs would actually get done was if I had my husband call Kenny or call him with concern. Now we do have a beautiful home -- but I don't think of it so much as a "custom". When we first decided to choose Kenmark we walked through one of the houses they were about to finish (and went though the office/model home in Aledo). Kenny and Paula made a lot of the fixtures/appliances/basics sound "standard" (we loved their work and were ok with their standards). Then when we got down to choosing the details- the basics were then an extra charge. The "standard" was in actuality very outdated - and was maybe "standard" for the 1980's (very basic faucets, fixtures, old looking white appliances, 12x12 kitchen tiles, old stainless steel sink). When we were making decisions for the house, it would have been nice to have a list of "custom" options and listed pricing. I was also very upset that our beautiful home was to come with a FAKE ROCK well cover in the yard??? We were one of the first Kenmark homes on the street and no one brought to our attention that was standard for their homes. It looks very fake and cheap -- and needless to say was very unexpected (it was not listed on the spec sheet). I feel that a truly "custom" home should come with more options and updated standards. Needless to say be an informed consumer --- I have heard many complaints from my neighbors and past customers. I usually am not one to write reviews, but I think people need to speak up when needed. If I had to do the process again, I would not assume anything--- every last detail would be in ink, and I would not have moved in if I would have known it was going to take a full year to complete repairs. Heritage Meadows Sub Division- Apparently the HOA was never Filed with the State. Had a meeting with the Developer- She is pushing the HOA on us, and all the Repairs on the roads, as they were never put in correctly. Now with the pot holes, from the construction trucks, the developer says she will not repair anything. And we as a home owner will have to take on the responsibility of repair. Even when the contractors/Developer put in bad base work for the roads in Brock. read more
