Really nice restaurant, not at all touristic but plain Peruavian so you only find your way there if you know a Peruvian who takes you there (as in my case). When I arrived I wonder if this was the restaurant we wanted to go was this place open? Unconspicious from the outside, doors were closed, only a small blackboard standing outside would give you the hint that this might be a restaurant. However, once we entered there was no doubt they dont need to do promotion: the resto was crowded and we were lucky to get a table for four :) Well the menu was quite unspectacular the menu itself as well as the dishes but as I got told everything 100% Peruvian and they had vegetarian, fish and meat dishes, so everything was there. I ordered a fish dish Jalea I think- which tasted like chicken tenders but in fact it was fish ;) kinda funny but very delicious.
Unfortunately there was not so much more, just a few salad leaves and special Peruvian popped corn those btw could become my future favourite snack ;) but that was it, no rice or more veggies or potatoes In the restaurant were about 60 or 70 people so it was really crowded but unfortunately there were only 3 waiters. Service was quite bad because of that. Long waiting times and the worst part: our plates did not arrive at the same time :( I never experience that so that was quite weird. we had to wait like 5 more minutes till all plates were on the table. But because I am a nice person ;) and I am guessing that that day suddenly two waiters got sick, I give 4 stars.
The location is really nice local people (from Peru haha) live music and the food was really delicious. And the prices were absolutely fair! A nice alternation from all the paella and tapas places in Barca. Find it! Try it! read more
