You walk through an outdoor entrance with black iron gates and the first thing you see at this bookstore is a bar! Ha. They have a cute outdoor patio seating area where you can eat, drink and read a book. There is an indoor cafe space and seating area as well. There are literally books EVERYWHERE!!! On the left side is an entrance to one side of the bookstore and on the right side is another entrance to the other side of the bookstore. Super organized with tall shelves of books, books and more books!!! f you walk past the bar outside and pass the outdoor patio area, there is another entrance in the middle to the indoor cafe with more seating. The indoor cafe entrance also connects to the bookstore inside too. We stopped by here during the day when we were walking around Coral Gables grabbing lunch and checking out the local museums. But we didn't have time to browse so we came back at night after dinner. At night, there's a bar/lounge vibe which is cool. They also had live music when we were there on a Saturday night. Beautiful bookstore set up and organization. They sell cute gift items too and the kids section is great! Love everything about this spot and I believe they have several other Books & Books locations. The Coral Gables location I think is the original and biggest one? Go check them out.

Whether it's a solo trip for a quick purchase or a meeting spot for a quick bite and leisurely stroll, they have everything you need and can cater to any in search of some good books without the secondhand hassle. The open courtyard at the entrance has a bar offering light lobster options and wine. The floor plan has a winding maze-like layout making your browsing experience much more interesting. They also host book signing events with local authors so checking their social media pages is a good way to sneak peak what's in store. They have something for every reader and even plenty of independent and local newspapers. The staff is very helpful and they're quick to help you find whatever material you're searching for. The prices are reasonable and there's plenty of categories to choose from. It's perfect to come here when you want a chill activity without the hustle and bustle. There are deals on the wine bottles during the week so check their calendar. I recommend this place over the conglomerate booksellers because they really support local business owners and their prices are extremely attractive for the range they offer.

Walking inside feels like discovering a hidden little world of books. I will say, I expected it to be much bigger based on photos I had seen. There's definitely more to see upwards than around, with books stacked and shelved high throughout the space. It's pretty tight inside, so I can imagine it getting a little crowded when there are a lot of people. And then there's the big fluffy resident cat, who pretty much seems to own the place and just adds another layer of charm to the whole experience. Honestly, what more could you want from a whimsical little bookshop? Definitely worth making a little trip to check out. It's quirky, charming, unexpected, and feels like a little hidden treasure.

The only caveat is that there is some dusty areas so take your allergy meds before coming. They have LOTS of books, some new, some used, some rare, some common. They also have vintage wall art. However, this book shop is NOT the shop to grab a book and read in the corner, nor the kind of shop to sit and do work. It is VERY cramped, especially on busy days. I've also noticed some books are pretty steep in price. Come here for the bookish vibes and the Instagram-worthy floor-to-ceiling shelves of books! Just don't expect it to be cozy or functional as a library or B&N.

"A word aptly uttered or written cannot be cut away by an axe."…read more― Nikolai Gogol, Dead Souls There's a certain something that a piece of paper gives - regardless of topic, language or era - that a digital app cannot provide. You know the history of why I started to learn Russian (that PPK track with Paul Oakenfold) and that I have been using the app with the owl logo to improve my skills on the language. However, just like with reading an actual newspaper by hand or doing an engineering sketch by hand instead of only on CAD there's a certain magic to it. I was having lunch at a cafe in Sunny Isles this afternoon ("YA khochu zakazat' pel'meni, pozhaluysta") and asked my waitress. Another patron in the restaurant chimed in that my Russian was pretty clear. I mentioned that I was studying and she noted that she owned this bookstore. They sell a large variety of books, from educational to religious and novels. I saw some artisanal matroyshka dolls and even a sweet plush corgi I might get as a gift for someone. Service was very helpful in helping me pick a level-appropriate book and "pretesting", letting me practice reading. The attendant even found a Russian-to-English Architecture & Engineering Dictionary!
