Early Saturday morning I discovered water flooding the laundry room of my significant other's…read moretownhouse and realized the water heater was leaking. I turned off the water supply rendering the condo with no water. Now what? Who do I call in Lexington, a town I'm not that familiar with much. She called her sister in Versailles but her recommendation of a past plumber she had used previously was closed for the weekend. So I did a search on Yelp first, skipping over a couple of plumbers with some not so good reviews and found Bluegrass advertised as being 24/7 and Shonda C.'s review listed first. She is in my friends list and I trust her reviews. I also saw photo's of the business owner and his family, plus some of his past work, indicating to me I was looking at an honest man. But to be sure, I utilized BBB for a background check and found zero complaints in the past year, an A+ rating and that they were BBB Accredited. So I gave them a call. Ron answered the phone at 7:52 am on a Saturday. This was a huge indicator to me I was going to be doing business with a good company. He told me he had one customer ahead of me but that he would be over between 11:30-12:30 and that he would call thirty minutes ahead of time to let me know he was on his way. He called me back at 10:26 am and arrived in 15 minutes. He assessed the work to be done, quoted a price, then left to pick up a new water heater and associated parts & pieces and arrived back around an hour later. I doubled checked with my sister, who owns five houses, on his quoted price and found he came in little bit less than her prediction. Ron and his son, who was helping him, installed a new water heater, and upgraded the water pipes and gas line, along with new valves on both, to meet today's codes. He completed the work in two and a half hours. We were completely 100% satisfied with the work, his timeliness, consideration of cleanliness and knowledge of his trade. Would not hesitate to call him again for any plumbing needs.

When DAUENHAUER WRECKS IT ALL - WHO YA GONNA CALL? [Lex, KY…read moreAREA] Reached out to Day's Plumbing Supplies after a disastrously nasty visit and experience with/by Dauenhauer Plumbing. Day's Plumbing recommended several Plumbers I think you can trust. I can give you other names but you can call Day's too for input. I spoke to a few local plumbers and they were helpful/honest and seemed full of integrity. Returned my calls unlike DAUENHAUER. Today I met Master Plumber (of 68 years via family plumbing expertise) Mr. David Wiseman. Serious, dedicated and so polite - TRUSTWORTHY! Fixed the mess Dauenhauer left us to cope with for five days! Then replaced the Faucet we asked DH to deal with. All this done at 75% less than the cost the inexperienced company folks at Dauenhauer were going to charge. But one WISE PERSON TO CALL IS Mr. DAVID WISEMAN - SUPER PLUMBER TODAY IN MY EYES. [He may be the person to call for small jobs these days - but he calls back, turns up on time and knows what he is doing if he commits to your required needs. He will tell you if he cannot do it!] Sounds like he has been at this over 45 years too. Cleaned up and recycles used parts - a supreme pleasure to have met with him, chatted and viewed the work he did to my complete satisfaction.
