I'll echo what the other reviewers have said (except the 1 star idiot). I've been going to Nick…read morefor over a decade and I don't believe that there is a better mechanic in the Wilmington area. Honest, trustworthy, fairly priced are all words that describe him and his business. He always keeps me in the loop with what is needed and how much it will cost and even sends out reminders. Do yourself a favor and stop by and see him.

I don't like being the squeaky wheel, but there have been so many mistakes in the short period of…read moretime that I've been going to them. I primarily went to them for my car, which had been in a fender bender. They had focused on the rear struts when the bigger problem was my control arms on both front axles. I went to another company to have them evaluated and sure enough when the insurance company came to evaluate the car. It was due to how they had handled my car in the assessment lot. If I had stuck with this company, I would've never gone back to the insurance company, and I would've had to pay all of this out-of-pocket. I also would have focused on the wrong fixes to the car. The reason I changed companies was because of how they handled my wife's car. I paid them several hundred dollars to try and fix two problems. They said both problems were fine and that they were not actually problems. I went to another company and the other company was able to immediately diagnose the problem and fix the problems. The troublesome part was that they had assessed the TPMS systems and said they were fine despite us having a warning signal on the dash for the last few months. The other company said the complete opposite and said that two had degraded batteries and needed to be replaced. All of the problems went away after being fixed by the other company. Despite the other good reviews on this app, I cannot trust T & T anymore.

My daughter's car was diagnosed with some MAJOR Repairs at the dealership with a price tag to…read morematch. I have been taken advantage of in the past at other dealerships so I tend to not trust them (example: I was quoted a $400+ extensive repair only to learn somewhere else that I needed a $75 relay part with less than $100 in labor). Our neighbors recommended Performance Auto to us so I brought the car over there. Pricing aside, the guys there are so great (I've mostly dealt with Chris). I felt like I was being spoken to honestly and treated with respect. My daughter's car was successfully repaired in a timely manner and we were very happy. Weeks later, MY car breaks down days after a 100K mile service, costing over $700 at the dealership which repaired it. I had the car towed back to the dealership to find out what had gone wrong only to be given a new diagnosis with a major repair of well over $1000. I decided to instead have the car towed over to Performance Auto. They confirmed that the diagnosis was correct but also gave me some other important information and recommendations around the repair that the dealership failed to mention at a much higher price tag!! So I had 2 cars in 6 weeks, all around the holidays, that had major repairs completed at Performance Auto. I paid significantly less (25-30%), was treated with respect and communicated with throughout. Unless we have a recall that requires us to take our cars to someplace else, Performance Auto is our new go to guys!

I will not go anywhere else for service. They treated my parents with such care for many years and continue to impress me with their honesty. Thank you PAS. I'll be back!

I would not recommend EVER going to them for transmission work, brought my car in because it felt…read morelike it was trans related. they did a a test to see what was wrong and said it was the torque converter. was told there was other problems but things they could not do. I specifically asked if I should do the other stuff first or would the trans fix the problem they said trans had to be done first, I get it back 3 weeks later and it drove the exact same if not worse. they said they test drove it but the odometer said 1.1 miles. so it obviously wasn't driven long enough to know. picked it up and only made it 2 miles away to take it back to them for them to tell me to go to another place work it was actually fixed for the real problem, untrustworthy people who don't deserve your hard earned money. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE.

I have a 2010 ss camaro with a stage 4 btr cam in it the transmission was broken so I bought a 2012…read morethinking it would work but it had park reverse neutral and in drive it stayed in 3rd gear. I called pro bilt and they said it needed reprogrammed and they could do it and get it on the road in 30 mins. I took the car that afternoon and dudes son had left early so he would have to do it the next day. He then asked me what was done to the car and asked if the car was tuned and i had to tell him multiple times the car has been tuned. He called me the next day and told me he tried 4 times and it wouldnt work then proceeded to try and sell me a transmission that was rebuilt with a 1 year 12000 mile warranty. I get there to pick up the car and he tells me that him having to try so many times reset the tune on the car to the factory tune. And then tells me the transmission he wants to sell me i have to pay first and wait for him to get the transmission and its a used transmission with over 100k miles and for me to run it in my car I can't put my stall converter on it cause it voids the warranty and the transmission is 2800$. So now my car doesn't run transmission still doesn't work and I'm out 1300 for the tune plus the 300 i had to pay him to screw up my car. Pro bilt transmissions in Wilmington has no clue what they are doing and is a scam
