When I bought my house in Highlands Ranch, the only thing needed was to replace the master bedroom window & the small window on the shed. So first step in finding a good window company was to check around, look in flyers, and of course check Yelp! I set up 3 estimates with Pella, Anderson & Ken Caryl Glass, with the latter being the first estimate, followed by the other 2. Both Pella & Anderson stayed in the house for over an hour, showing me about UV rays, double pane glass, and both tried to talk me into getting windows in the whole house, although the other windows in the home were perfectly fine. Ken Caryl Glass didn't send a salesman, the sent a nice professional to simply measure my windows needed, and then send his estimate a few days later. They still came in with the best pricing, and the quickest install. Even at 5 weeks out, they still hit their mark, and sure enough, 5 weeks after our windows were ready for install. After scheduling the install, they arrived promptly when they said they would & finished both windows in a couple hours, and I mean a couple hours. Our bathroom remodel was completed. All that was left was for Ken Caryl Glass to install the shower enclosure. Noah came out to give us estimate & ordered the enclosure after paid deposit. Week later got call to schedule the install. Ken Caryl came out on the 20th of April, they completed the shower enclosure. I went up to do a walk through, it looked good so I paid them rest of their money. It was not until 2 days later I was looking down @ the tile & noticed large scratch & damaged tile right in front of the door of the enclosure. It was not there before the install happened. I reached out to Noah & his manager on email with photos. Noah returned email 24 hours later asking for more photos showing where the damage was in reference to the door of the enclosure. I sent over immediately, but since that email Noah & company has "Ghosted" me & refuse to resolve the situation. I followed up with email again to Noah & his manager wanting a response, but have refused to work with me on any compensation for their mistake. Ken Caryl glass was an amazing company who honestly installed some beautiful glass in my brand new master bath. The tile was all just laid right before their install of my shower glass. I contacted them immediately same day of install to inform them that a tile was cracked during the install. The tile does connect to glass hardware. I was informed by Noah that the crack was not caused by Ken Caryl Glass and there was anything they could do to fix or make the issue right. Thats the service you get after spending 3600 dollars? They installed the doors to our building and after about 7 months one of the doors broke from the wind pulling it open. Called to speak about someone coming out to inspect it as it was slamming so hard that I was worried about the glass breaking. To have someone come out sooner than over a week out the person on the phone said I would be on the hook for whatever they did to the door. I'm a business owner and when someone who is a returning customer has an issue you come out as soon as possible and fix it and you either do it for free or at a discount. Had these guys come to Lakewood to get an estimate on a couple hail damaged windows. They came out and looked but never followed up. After a couple of weeks I called them and the girl on the phone sounded surprised that no one got back to me. After speaking to the rep that looked at my window, he blamed the delay on Andersen windows and would look to get replacement from home depot. Again no further response. Eventually I had to order the part myself through Andersen and will have to find someone else to install. Very disappointing considering these guys came highly recommended. read more

I just had the most wonderful experience! I needed a glass replaced in a small basement window sliding pane. I called around to a number of places got the best price from Ken Caryl Glass. It was a half hour drive from my house. I knew going that they would need a couple days to do the work. When I mentioned the drive the woman said hang on a moment, she went and did some checking came back and said have a seat we're going to do it for you right now!! I ordered two large custom (expensive) mirrors and a frameless glass shower wall and door for my bathroom remodels. When they came out to install, they couldn't figure out how to get the mirrors in, even though the estimator had said it would be not problem. They had also cut the outlet openings in one of the mirrors incorrectly. They came back a second time, and this time the openings were correct but turns out the measurements were incorrect (estimator's error) so again could not install. Finally were able to get the mirrors installed the 3rd time they came out but I have noticed damage to the paper on the back of the mirrors near the edges on both mirrors. For mirrors this expensive they should have taken a lot better care. I'm totally bummed by the damage. They didn't wear cotton gloves while installing so they were damaged. Supposedly I have a year to have them come back out and fix this so I'm trying to decide if it's worth the pain of doing so. Customer service was almost non-existent, although they did credit me $100 because I had to have the plumber come out to take faucets off and put back on (estimator had told me it was fine to have them installed prior to first attempt at installation). To top it off, the first glass door had a scratch so they replaced that. I spent thousands on these 2 mirrors, door and glass wall and I would expect the customer care to be a lot better. One of the installers was really apologetic, which I appreciated. I definitely will not use them in the future and cannot recommend them. read more

I called to set an appointment to get a new glass shower surround. Now, I don't know much about showers..... or glass for that matter.... which is why I was calling the professions (or so I thought!) The gal that answered the phone, Jennifer, was extremely rude and short with me. She acted put-out that I was calling to make an appointment and blew me off when I tried to ask questions. Despite the lack of customer service, I went ahead and booked an appointment to have someone come out. A few days later, Andrew (one of their estimators) showed up. He was very friendly, professional, and took time to explain everything and even got back to me later that afternoon with a formal quote. This was the only reason I bumped up to a 2 star rating. At the end of the day, I ended up with another company who was able to better work around my hectic schedule and didn't make me feel incompetent. read more

People warned me that this place has bad customer service, but still gave them a shot. We needed a new custom shower door and went in to get a rough estimate. The lady didn't seem to want to help us, but finally did and most of the info she provided turned out to be incorrect. We finally had the guy come out for a quote and a week or so later emailed him as they were I few changes and needed an updated quote. Never received a response and as a result have placed the order with another place. This company needs to teach their employees customer service as I'm guessing they are losing a lot of business because of this. read more

I got several bids for a glass rail for my loft, with and without posts and hardware. I ended up installing the clamps, hardware, and posts myself and then Ken Caryl Glass came and measure for the glass. They sent back the measurements and pricing. I put in a 50% deposit. In two weeks, 4/16/2012, the glass came in and I picked it up, paid the remainder, and brought the glass home only to discover that the glass didn't fit. The cutouts made in the glass were measured wrong, the glass was still covering the pin locations which meant that the glass was not securable to the hardware. These pieces of glass are tempered to withstand breaking and also means that it cannot be re cut to adjust for the measurement errors. I called Ken Caryl the same day that I tried to install. I was told that it was my problem because I had the wrong clamp and pin hardware. How can the clamp and pins be wrong, since they were already in place when the company came out to measure for the glass. They knew exactly what was needed and what I had before cutting the glass. I was given two options: buy new clamps or buy new glass, both at my own personal expense. I chose the third option, which was to dispute the charge through my credit card company. I'm still in the midst of that whole process, its been several months. On 8/14/2012, I was called by a Beth, i think she is the owner, and she basically said that my clamps wouldn't hold if they made the glass the way that I wanted. I have had several second professional opinions on this matter which say my clamps will hold the glass and have everything in writing. I have been proven right that my clamps are just fine and would hold the weight of the glass that we had wanted, but Ken Caryl still won't admit any fault. Beth has now said that Ken Caryl are just going to take me to Small Claims Court because my credit card company has put a hold on the money. I said that was fine. Whatever would resolve the dispute. Beth has finally offered to buy me new clamps that she says would fit the glass cut. She won't verify or guarantee that the new clamps will rectify the problem. I might accept that only if they will do the install, since I had already installed the first set of clamps myself and do don't know if the new clamps will fix the problem. She wants me to install and says that the clamps "should work" and if not, then they will give new glass. They want me to just trust them it will work, just like the glass was going to fit the first time. During this whole process, they have NEVER come out to my house to verify or look at the problem that I've brought to their attention. This is the worst company I have dealt with in my life. They have the worst customer service from the top to bottom. Everyone from the receptionist to the owner have all been rude and no help. I have zero idea how they are still in business they way they treat people. I guess because I paid them almost $2000. What a rip off!!! Save yourself time, money, and effort and don't use Ken Caryl Glass. You have been warned. read more
