It's about the people, how they treat you and, most importantly, how genuinely they care about you and your family. That said, I honestly can't say enough about Dr. Bryan Adams and every single person on his staff. Every single member of the staff is tremendously caring, personable, and incredibly generous with their time. You never feel rushed. You never feel like you're just another patient on the schedule. They know you, they remember you, they ask about your family, and they genuinely seem happy to see you. They don't just say they treat their patients like family, they actually do. And after being with them for years, that's exactly how we feel when we walk through their doors. Dr. Adams, in particular, is one of those rare people who reminds you that being exceptional at your profession and being an exceptional human being can go hand in hand. He is extraordinarily generous with his time and has always gone above and beyond. But what really tells you everything you need to know about the kind of person Dr. Adams is happened when I had my heart attack a few years back. He would regularly text me just to check in, ask how I was doing, and make sure I was okay. It obviously had absolutely nothing to do with dentistry or with me being his patient. He didn't have to do it at all. He did it because he genuinely cared. That is simply who he is. And I think what makes the practice even more special is that same genuine care is reflected throughout his entire office. That kind of culture doesn't happen by accident, and you simply don't find it very often anymore. To say that we are grateful to Dr. Adams and his entire team would be a drastic understatement. After…read moremy long-time dentist retired, I gave 3-4 different dentists a chance but they all proved untrustworthy (e.g. telling me I needed expensive procedures I knew I did not need) and/or were ill equipped (e.g. rundown offices with out-of-date equipment). Good luck it was finding Dr. Jin, whose offices and equipment are always state-of-the-art! For example, at the start of the pandemic, she quickly acquired the latest health-safety equipment that enabled her to continue serving her patients without hazard. Her office and its location comes close to "luxurious," as well as just simply lovely, comfortable and convenient (easy access from HWY 680 in San Ramon, fairly near Costco, etc.) For all this, one might anticipate top-of-the-line billing, but no, compared to charges from other dentists dating from 10 years ago, not unreasonable. Especially, considering all the extra expenses I would be paying for the unnecessary procedures that had been proposed - and on one occasion "demanded" if I were to become a patient. I recently dropped my retired-teacher dental insurance and am now on self-pay, which turns out to be cheaper, even given a new crown looming in the future. The courtesy and sincere interest the entire staff shares with you reinforce the comfortable feelings you feel the first time you step into the building itself, even before reaching the office. And an extra plus: highly skilled hygienists...Tiffany, for one, is the best ever ! Late in the evening - around 9:00 p.m. - we called an emergency pediatric dental advice line that some Bay Area dentists participate in, hoping to get immediate guidance. Thankfully, Dr. Ozzie answered my call. She stayed on the phone with me for nearly 45 minutes, carefully listening as I explained what the ER had shared. She even texted me from her personal phone so I could send X-rays, reviewed them thoroughly, and provided a clear diagnosis along with thoughtful guidance on what to discuss with our pediatric orthodontist. Beyond that, she generously shared additional insights about children's breathing and what to address with our pediatrician before adult teeth come in. It was immediately obvious how knowledgeable Dr. Ozzie is - but even more evident is how much she genuinely cares about children and her work. What makes this experience so remarkable is that it was entirely over the phone: I had never met her, we didn't have an appointment, and this was simply a random emergency call to the first available pediatric dentist.
