More unexpectedly, the Mount St. Helens Gift Shop also seems devoted to all things Big Foot. They stock a larger selection of t-shirts, hoodies etc displaying Sasquatch than I've ever seen before. There is also a large (8'!)stuffed doll who is available for photos....unlike his corporeal cousins! There is also a smatering of other local items. We bought a jug of marionberry jam that comes with a top to make it a salt or pepper shaker when you finish off the jam.

We like to support local businesses today in the world of internet shopping and we appreciated not only the huge amount of furniture there we could physically touch and feel but even for pieces we ordered that weren't physically there they had other pieces we could see in a different color or style so we could still see the construction and quality of the furniture brand. Amanda could not have been more helpful or knowledgeable! She has an amazing ability to plot out and visualize how things will look in the space of the room and we really needed that! They have been super accommodating and even offered to send us a temporary console to put our TV on since the one we ordered will take a couple extra weeks to arrive from the rest of the things. I can't say enough good things about Elam's! They have only gotten better, if possible, over the last 10 years!

Surprisingly, their books are well organized! Whenever we can't find what we are looking for, they kindly order it for us, knock off 20%, and have it in just a few short days. Can't bet that even with Prime. I take my kiddo here about every other month to get the next Warriors book and oftentimes we make a couple other finds. My kiddo loves to be able to walk in and request the book we ordered and happily start flipping through the pages. In response to some negative reviews: everyone can have a bad day so maybe take that in consideration. Not everyone is living the same life. We are all just trying to do our best. My kiddo just started another book series, Wings of Fire, so we'll be heading back soon to request the books we can't find at the library.

More than paperbacks, with a decent selection of hardcovers and one of the most impressive children's / youth section that I have seen. Their used prices are very decent and all of the others seem to be 20 percent off of list which can work out well in many cases. Friendly staff who are very helpful. It is great to see children get excited about reading, and this store caters to that crowd. We saw two families with children tat were having a great time picking out books for themselves. In this sad society filled with so much laissez faire parenting, it is so refreshing to see parents involved and invested in their children's minds. This shop has been serving the area for quite a while, so please shop local and shop indie!!!!

Man, this place seems to have only had one guy working there for years. He's the owner, I believe. It's truly shocking how kind, patient and helpful he is. He's also knowledgeable on most things. I have never found anything I wanna buy here. Five years ago, their movie selection felt about standard. Now, their focus is instead music or books, unfortunately. I'm not a consumer of physical books or music. I hear it's at minimum, an acceptable selection. I can't precisely gauge the value for a few reasons. There aren't many physical media stores in general anymore, plus this guy is very particular about having an extremely high quality of used products he sells. To me, the prices seemed a bit high, but I guess I'm glad he wants to only sell used products that seem new. (Does he sell non used products?) It's an easy building to access, with a huge parking lot. That however, doesn't entirely make up for being closed on a weekend day (Sunday). It being a reasonably big store, COMBINED with the former, does make up for it. It felt like it was very clean on the inside, to a fault...he still has a clear glass panel in front of him at the cash register, and wears a pretty intense face mask with gloves. I'm not going to get personal, don't worry. I'm only mentioning this, because it seriously made him hard to hear when he spoke. So keep that in mind. He had plenty of customers on a Wednesday afternoon before a holiday. Clearly there's something I'm missing here. I've only been here a couple times in five years, so maybe if you're a regular customer, the experience is different and better. There's a few reviews on Google at least, of customers recounting their purchase experiences, that can be very enlightening. Overall, this store seems to have one employee, the owner. A man who provides good customer service, and is concerned about having a pristine store in more ways than one. I'm not sure how many customers he has, but he is still open, so maybe go check him out.

First of all, the owner and her daughter (?) are so sweet and helpful. The place is immaculate, full of so much stuff to browse through- 3 downstairs rooms and an upstairs section. I found so many things I couldn't leave without. Including this vintage embroidered pillow. How cute is this?! It goes literally perfectly on my chair. Can't say enough good stuff. Price are good and sometimes shockingly low. Selection was great. They also sell some handmade items like towels and earrings. You could find some unique and fun gifts here! 10/10
