I purchased some Jowey Winnie and Sylvia tubers this spring and I was so happy when the blooms came…read morein. The Sylvia had dozens of blooms with variations of orange sherbet growing as tall as me. Super prolific with tall single stems, perfect for vases. The Jowey Winnies were my favorite grown this year. The blooms were purple to pink to yellow from the edge of the petal to the center. These produced blooms that changed color shades as the season changed. Pastels in early summer to candy colors through October. The amount of tubers I got from these will let me plant a full perimeter of dahlias next year. I can't wait. We arrived at the appointed time 3:00 PM which Haley chose only to find that she wasn't there and wasn't coming. We were understandably upset although we never raised our voices. My friend indicated that this has happened with Haley before and I said it was a two hour trip round trip and I would not be coming back. Hayley's husband obviously thought we had no right to be upset as he barely gave an apology and then heckled us all the way out the door. Obviously my friend will no longer refer anyone to Haley and I will hire someone more reliable for my flowers. I suppose I'm grateful I discovered Hayley's unreliability and her and her husband's unprofessionalism before my wedding or investment. Her husband was actually downright hostile which is strange as they were the ones in the wrong. Just wanted to warn other people of my experience. UPDATE In response to your response you're husband mentioned no emergency. He said you got the date wrong (even though you picked it) and that you were babysitting instead. So I really don't believe it was an emergency or your husband would have said so and not that you got the date wrong. I made my appointment with you because you are the florist. I didn't want to place an order with him because he was incredibly rude, he's not a florist and I was shocked at how unprofessional you were. This last Friday we decided to go back to get two more bleeding hearts and two azaleas. Our issue is with the azaleas. The bigger azalea had the price tag. And I didn't realize that the smaller one didn't have one. The person that rang us up said they were in the same size pot, and scanned the one tag twice instead of going to check the price. We couldn't tell at the time, but after planting them today, you can clearly see by the pictures that one pot is definitely smaller. After talking about it, and remembering what plants we looked at that did have price tags, we think we were over charged by about $20.00. The price should have been either $16.99 or $19.99. We really love Tsugawa's plant quality, and will continue to buy our plants there. We just wanted to let folks know, make sure the plant you're going to buy has a price tag.
