It was after nine and they were still rocking out the food. Due to being so late just had the double cheeseburger and shoestring fries and a Dr. Pepper but service was great and food was excellent. Love the retro interior and the old pix on the wall. The ice cream looked so good I came by after we finished on Sunday evening and ate again but this time added the mint chocolate chip shake. Awesome .all I had hoped it would be.

D-Ice definitely knows how to make rolled ice cream look stunning, but unfortunately the visuals…read morewere the best part of the experience. The ice cream itself lacked flavor, and the texture made it surprisingly difficult to eat, more of a stunt food than something enjoyable. I also found the interaction with the worker a little awkward; they were polite but didn't say much, which made the overall atmosphere feel a bit flat. They also didn't wash their hands so that was a little off putting. They also were on a phone call the entire time which was completely unprofessional... not a good look. For the price, I expected a lot more. It felt expensive for what you actually get, and the quality didn't match the cost. They do have a good selection of options, which is a plus, but the good just doesn't outweigh the bad here. The experience was just okay, but not memorable enough to want to return. I had high hopes since I'd never tried rolled ice cream before, but the visit ended up being a little disappointing. Between the lackluster flavor, the awkward service, and the high price point, it's not a place I'd go out of my way for again.

I thought the rolled ice cream would be good, but mine had a short curly hair rolled into it…read more Hairnets exist for a reason and I think it's unsanitary and disgusting that they aren't used here.

I tried the Grippos Chicken Sandwich and Grippos fries combo (because if you're in Evansville, Grippos is a thing), my mom had fried mushrooms, and my dad tried the fish sandwich. We all thought the food was tasty, and the portion sizes were great for the price, lots of food, and not breaking the bank. The biggest drawback is that they have no public restroom. They'll direct you to the Circle K gas station across the street, but said gas station won't let you use theirs without buying something. If you're local, you're probably fine with this, but we had just arrived in town after a road trip, so this made things a touch uncomfortable.

The food here is not that great neither is the service. Apparently this place won a burger award?…read moreAgainst who? The burger I ordered was nothing shy of a backyard burger. As a matter of fact, I probably could have made a better burger on my backyard grill. The fries were nothing special either. The only reason I'm rating this place a 3 star & not 2 star is because the chicken strips my wife ordered somewhat saved my disappointment with this restaurant. They were decent & they have a good bbq dipping sauce. Would I come back? No.

I've been here on dates, to get ice cream before/after work at the mall, to celebrate good grades (loved the scoops for scholars - I always wanted to see if they'd give me free ice cream still in college...but i never took my grades there) or just to get food with either Mom or Sarah. In n Out Burger in the Bay Area is close, but Ritzy's is the best hands down. The burgers are good, the fries are good, and the ice cream is fantastic - definitely better than Lic's. PS the secret is to get a kid's meal - plenty of food...but (at least back in teh day) they used to give you a scoop of icecream instead of a prize/ It was so great - and so economical.
