I would give Zero stars on this unfortunately. This is very sad and my wife and I don't know what has happened over the past few years because last time with our same cat Sonny a totally different experience. Last time this was a 5 star experience. Too bad to see poor customer service and poor business practices at full exposure here. Last time our cat had an infection in his mouth and during the consultation and blood work at the first appointment they told us about all the teeth that needed to be removed and ones they were going to try to save. Called us and gave us his blood work information. Did the surgery, gave excellent customer service and follow up. This time, paid $100 deposit for services and never said that the 1st appointment isn't included in the $100 as really what they want is to do the surgery and tug at your heart strings as this is for your beloved family member (cute cat) in this case. Shared with me his last x-ray from his original appointment and told me that the Dr. will need to evaluate once our cat is out from anesthesia to determine how much they will need to do. I told them that I would need to check with my wife as the original reason for the appointment was it looked like he had an infection that had already scabbed up and they weren't positive it was an infection. I paid the $80 some dollars for the blood work and appointment but argued that we put $100 deposit down for services but they wouldn't budge We left and a few days they called my wife for the blood results and left a message but my wife called back and to let them know that we weren't going to do any surgery as he seemed fine. They never called back. Since we really had no answers and no results from the blood work we put a stop on the $100 charge. Of course they got it reversed, that's not hard. YOU CAN KEEP THE $100 FOR THE SHORT GAME IN BUSINESS AS I WILL NEVER USE YOU OR REFER YOU AS I HAD DONE A NUMBER OF TIMES. Dave Ramsey always says to support small business, but the reminder is that small business has to do their part to do above and beyond and recognize if they have made a mistake. I absolutely love these people they're very good to our dogs. But they are impossible to get an appointment in the East Valley. Three times now I was told to call back at a "specific time on a specific day" and I did that... to the very minute. For the third time again, I cannot get an appointment because they don't have any. I don't understand why they can't schedule more than one week at a time. It's very unfortunate and it's very discouraging and does reflect poorly on their scheduling abilities I guess. Beyond frustrating! Just beyond. After three times doing exactly what they said to do, I'm told call back again on a specific day at a specific time. Additionally, when the agent greeted me, they asked what Priority Pet quoted me and indicated that the quote was high. We just used Dr. Kelly's for the 3rd time and are very pleased. We have gotten a dog spayed here and we have also had our dogs teeth cleaned on two separate occasions. I've used Dr. Kelly mobile in the past, but it's clear they have grown too much and can no longer adequately sustain a decent business model of scheduling people in a timely fashion. Their schedule for dentals only goes 6 weeks out at a time, and if all full for the area you're in, you are forced to be put on a regular wait list and/or a cancellation wait list. I called 3 weeks ago and was put on their wait list and have heard nothing ever since. Someone else told me that literally reach out to them every day to keep checking on the 'wait list'. Totally ridiculous. Found another low cost option and cat's teeth are being cleaned today. I do think this biz provides a valuable service for people who really need a low cost option, but to have people wait and wait and wait for a callback due to their exponential growth will start turning people away in the end. I find it funny that they consistently ask their 'fans' to keep voting for them in all these 'Best of..' polls, yet this aspect of scheduling people is anything but.. read more

Chase and Oreo had no idea what was going on but they recovered after surgery quite well, by evening time the were back to their normal selfs. It was a quick process and the people who assist and work with you are very sweet and kind. I paid extra for nail clippings and donated to their cause. You won't regret using their services. I recently used Dr. Kelly to have my fur babies spayed/neutered, microchipped, and nails trimmed. I received nothing but prompt responses and caring staff correspondence from start to finish. Well-kept surgical suite with no "funny smells" and I have the sense of smell of a pregnant woman at ALL times... I was actually surprised getting a pick up call about an hour later after dropping them off only to be notified that my little sillies ready to go! Outstanding! In my past experiences with specialty "cats only" vets, it took several days before I'd be reunited with my beans as well as hundreds of dollars each. I was so happy they were able to return to their comfort zone of home to heal. I was given pain medication (which hasn't been really necessary, thankfully) and instructions clearly written on how to care as well as contact them with any questions or concerns. Our pup was slower than normal and his stomach was starting to bulge. We took him to the emergency vet found he had a tumor. Vet quoted us over $5,000 to do a splenectomy. We shopped around. I remembered taking our girls to Dr Kellys to get their teeth cleaned and contacted them. Scheduled a consultation and got a quote (under $3,000 out the door - Meds and all). Jessica took care of all the front end stuff at the Peoria location and she was AMAZING. She answered my million questions with a smile on her face. Our pup went in for surgery at 8am and was done within a few hours. Had a phone call by 11am that he did well. They said they tumor was 8inches in our 10-13lb dog =( They said the dog woke up early and was ready to play :) When I picked him up, I asked if I could oddly enough see a pic of the tumor. Moments later the doctor herself came out and gave updates and showed me the pics. By the time I took our pup to go potty and get in the car, the doctor herself had sent me the pictures to my phone. We are scheduled 6/6/23 to get his stitches removed. If this isnt customer service, I dont know what it! They really put us at ease with the care and compassion they have for our furry friends. It was dim and dirty and smelled bad, the trailer. When I asked if I could see the surgical suite and how do they sterilize between dogs, the person looked confused. I said to refund my money. They tried to charge me differently than what was quoted, and under pressure, standing inside a dark doorway with no seats or table for examining my pet just here hand us your pet to cut on after you hand us money to do it without seeing a thing behind the curtain. Wham. Bam. The day of surgery. The receptionist said schedulers had no notes on me and for days I'd sent pictures and detailed what my pet needed. I was told my deposit was refunded. I then asked for a receipt. The girl didn't seem to know how to do that! I had to wait. THEN she deposited my refund and printed a receipt. I believe they would have kept my $50 deposit anyway. The separation between scheduling and care leaves a huge information gap. I wouldn't want an enemy to have surgery in that scummy filthy interior. I would never use that service. Ever. When they returned him to me he had a Large dry piece stuck to his butt. I understand that they are a pet hospital and not a doggie hotel or daycare, but when you have a pet that long you could at least let them go to the bathroom or clean them and the kennel up if they go in it. She has recovered quickly with no complications or the need for follow-up visits. The post-surgery instructions were clear, detailed, and easy to follow. I took my dog to the Mesa location to be spayed. It is quite a distance from our home, but I thought it was worth it. Unfortunately, the communication was poor. When I dropped her off at 9:30am they told me it would take 4-5 hours and they would be closing at 3:00pm. My children had appointments that ran long, so all of us rushed back to pick up the dog at 3:00. We were in the waiting for approximately 10 minutes only to be told that she still hadn't gone in for surgery! What a waste of our time. I had to return over two hours later to pick her up. First of all...it was difficult to make an appointment. She told me to call back later & I did. Was told to call back again the following week, which I did. Finally after calling back for the third time I was able to make an appointment. This was for their location in Mesa. She said the cost for dental cleaning ranges from $350-$550 for my yorkie. They don't need to see her for a consultation. Which I found a little odd. I mean not all dog's dental needs are the same. My husband dropped her off on Thursday 1/18/24 just before 11 am & I spoke to one of the assistants. She said the dr looked at my dog's ears & it could use an ear wash & possibly the dr would prescribe some ear cleaner. I asked how much is the ear wash? $25. Ok that's fine but I have Zymox so I don't want whatever the dr was going to prescribe. Then she asked if I wanted the IV? So they can monitor her & her organs better while under anesthesia. Isn't that usually included in the price??? I asked ok how much is it? $85. It would help her to come out of the anesthesia too. So of course I said ok. She said she will call me back after she's under anesthesia so the dr can get a better look at her teeth. Ok yes please call me back before doing anything. Now 3 hours have gone by without anyone calling me back. It's now a little after 2pm. WTH?! So I call them & some girl answers saying she's not at that location but will send them a message to call me. I get a call about 10 minutes later & she said the dr recommends pulling 23 teeth! Because there are pockets & it's not good because bacteria can build up and cause her problems later on. I asked how many teeth does she have? They have 43 teeth but she has 5 missing. So I asked her for the breakdown of all the teeth they wanted to extract. She did have 1 baby tooth incisor in the front which I knew about. But I never expected to hear 23! I asked how much teeth will she have left? She said she will have 14. But after she broke it down...she's like do you want to talk to the dr? Of course. After speaking with the Dr who asked for her chart she said they are extracting 14 teeth not 23. I was somewhat relieved. I was asking how much is all this going to cost? She passed the phone back to the girl who referred to my dog as a HE when she's a SHE! So after getting the extractions for 14 teeth, ear wash & IV. My total is now about $800. No where close to even $550. I told her I felt like your practice was a bait & switch business. You quote low to get the dogs in the door but once they are there you start adding on other charges. I said I am NEVER EVER using Dr Kelly surgical again! I asked why is it taking so long to start? It's been over 3 hours. Oh we worked on the harder dogs first because we don't want to keep your dog under anesthesia for too long. Ok I get that but obviously you have a problem with scheduling since you don't do a consultation first. I asked about what time will she be ready for pick up since we need to pick up our autistic son from school. She asked the Dr & she said about 4:15 but they will call me. Ok I hope everything goes well. Please call me. She called & said she's done & she's doing good coming out of the anesthesia. It took them about 30 minutes for cleaning & extracting & another 30 to monitor coming out of anesthesia. My bill came out to about $700. Not $550 or $800. I did put a $100 deposit down. So there's my honest review of the stress I dealt with from the beginning to the end. At least someone called me on Friday to see how she was doing. I said she's not eating or anything. Mostly just lying on my bed. But she did go outside to pee once. She said she will check on her today, Saturday and it's now 5:30 and no one has called. I guess since they are closed no one can take a few minutes to call me & check to see if she's ok. Guess they just don't care or give a shit about our fur babies. I should have read the reviews first. So much negative reviews about them lately. They need to change the way they do business & change the processes. Great experience! I submitted my inquiry for bladder stone removal on my dachshund on a Saturday and was contacted early Monday offering a procedure on Tuesday. Cost at the end was a little more than quoted which i anticipated/is to be expected, and, i add that it was significantly lower than our primary vet. The transfer records was easy, the doc reviewed her records quickly to determine if my dog was a candidate for surgery, and boom, had a date and time ready before the end of the day on Monday. On surgery day, my questions were answered, pick up/drop off was smooth and easy, and they make themselves available for any questions at a later time. My kitten needed to have her right eye removed due to a trauma when she was born. I received a quote from a highly recommended eye specialist but it was simply out of my budget $4,300. Dr Kelly's practice is very transparent with their pricing. It was much more affordable for me $800. I was able to book the appointment within a few days and the communication was excellent mostly texting and a phone call for a credit card deposit. I even asked them about their reviews because honesty I was very confused by some of the not so favorable ones. They walked me through the entire process before hand and I left with her medications and written instructions. I didn't meet with the vet as she was busy doing surgeries prior to my kitty and then right back at it afterwards. It's pretty awesome she could see so many pets in one day. I think the Drs time is so valuable and it's better she continue doing what she does best! I felt very confident in the assistant's communication with me and very happy all went well. Maybe this is how they keep their prices so reasonable? I sent her diagnosis and veterinarian records prior to our appointment. I've used this service several times for my dogs dental and cleaning. The offer spay/neuter, mass removals, and amputations as well. They offer services for dogs and cats. Here's some pro's and cons for this business. Pro's ¹ Easy to communicate with, I did most of my correspondence via text, they also take phone calls on their main number and have a fb account you can reach out to them as well 2 Fairly decent price, I was given a ball park price for the services I never exceeded the estimate on any of them. 3 They're located throughout the Phoenix and Tucson area - I used the Mesa location(s) 4 Customer service was amazing - granted I dealt with the vet techs but I will say I had NO issues or sass from any of them, they all seemed pleasant and very cordial 5 It's a one stop shop - all labs and meds required dispensed on site. 6 They're open 6 days a week 7a-3p Monday thru Saturday (appointment necessary) and Saturdays are highly coveted by customers. 7 They recently opened a fixed location - see their fb page for more info. 8 They offer a la carte services on the day of surgery (vaccines, nail trimming, anal gland emptying, etc) 9 They'll call prior for your authorization on large ticket items but you also sign a waiver indicating what you will allow to be done of you don't answer when they call (0, 25, 50, 100 dollars above estimated price of necessary). Con's (some may be subjective and not be an issue for you) 1They're not a full service vet - there's no after hours or central location to go to after closing hours (granted they provide you a list of FAQ's, answer all your questions before you leave, and they call the next day to follow up with you and your pet) 2If your pet is older than 5 years old you'll need to get labs done prior to the surgery date. Granted this is a quick scheduled appointment but you will need to take your animal and pay an additional fee due at the time of collection - $75 in my experiences for blood work. 3Most of the locations are at other animal centric businesses (pet spas, groomers) and parking can be a little difficult at times. 4 There's no waiting room, and as such there's no real time or place to speak with the vet or stay with your animal. As such they do give you a period of time that you should expect a call or tentative time for pick up but no guarantees on specifically what time they'll be done. They do ask if you have any times that won't work but again it's not specific times. I have used this clinic several times for surgery or dental cleaning, for multiple pets. In fact, it's why I came back this week to schedule my dog for her annual dental cleaning. I was grossly disappointed in this experience though. I texted to ask to book an appointment last week. I was told the usual information that $50 was due at the time of scheduling an appointment and to contact them when I was able to do so. 4 days later on payday, I did just that. I got NO response! I texted again the following Monday later and finally got a reply. In text conversation I was given options on how to pay for my dogs appointment and given a date that I thought was held. I chose to have them email me to collect payment information. At no time in the texting, or in my emails did it say I had to pay immediately to keep my spot. I was not even given 24 hours to reply before they gave away my spot and told me I was SOL. Their email was sent to me at 240pm and I paid before 9am the following day. When bringing this to their attention I got a half ass apology for the "miscommunication". Nothing was done to make this right. Mind you, nowhere on their website does it say you have to pay IMMEDIATELY to keep your spot. I guarantee you this will be the last time I use this service. read more

After confirming my appt via text with my dogs name, breed, WEIGHT, and age (5-6yrs old) I used PTO to take my German Shepard 30 min away from home for a dental cleaning. I explicitly told them how much my dog weighed (around 130lbs) they did not give any signs that there would be any issues. I get to my appt and they weigh my large German Shepard at 134lbs. They tell me they won't do the cleaning unless he LOSES 55lbs, then I can call back and schedule with them. What a joke. Literally wasted my entire day coming to this place that isn't competent enough to inform me before after they already had all the information they needed that my dog is 55lbs too heavy for them. read more

The animal rescue we work with uses Dr. Kelly when their dogs need to be spayed or neutered. I brought my foster dog Daisy here to be spayed. I was able to check her in right when I arrived and they took her off to the back. She was done with her surgery in an hour! We are not doctors but we thought the incision and stitching was done very well. You could barely see the incision and it was completely healed within 10 days. We had a great experience taking our foster dog here and the cost was excellent. I think it cost $75 because she weighs 50 pounds, not including the cost of her pain medication. I can't say enough good things about this place. I've brought my cat Orion to them a few months ago. And my dog Ayden a couple days ago. Both for dental cleanings and both times have been awesome! The ladies are very friendly. I was worried about my dog going under anesthesia because he has a history of biting and the woman I dealt with reassured me and took the time to make him feel comfortable. They have taken for care of my animals and their prices are much better than what you'll find at a regular vets. They stay pretty busy so I recommend setting your appointment in advance. I took 2 of my female rescue dogs to Dr. Kelly for dental cleanings/extractions. I had several quotes from various places including a so called low-cost pet dental place. Their prices were exorbitant. Then a friend recommended Dr. Kelly's mobile vet. They gave me an estimate much lower than my previous quotes. The day of the cleaning/extractions, they called to let me know the amount on was even less then originally quoted. I've been using this vet for the last 4 years. I've helped many friends get their animals fixed and have fixed a lot of strays. I want to do my part in slowing / eliminating stray animals but it can be very costly. But not with dr. Kelly's!!! They're an affordable traveling vet that travels the valley and in Tucson I guess after just reading so! Animal bills can be so extremely costly and no one wants to spend an arm and a leg to get their animals help. The amount of stress relief that they've given me is immeasurable. I will never stop using them and have no desire to find another vet. I recommend everyone to use them word of mouth and now Yelp. I wish I had the ability to market for them by giving everyone one of their cards. They also for special occasions have toys for the animals when you arrive. I was pleased to schedule the appointment to have my dog spayed at such an affordable rate of $120 and the assurance that she would be observed for the day while I was as work. I was told this price also included the collar and after surgery pain medication. As soon as I dropped her off I was told to pick her up in 45 minutes to an hour (this was the same situation for the person in line behind me). Upon picking her up, I was given the amount due of $345, not including to $40 deposit paid. That did include a few medications that totaled $55. I was happy to spend that on medications but not pleased about the misleading pricing. It's still far greater than my vet was charging, I would have paid that price. I do have an issue telling people one thing and charging more than double when you pick up your pet. For those of you reading this review, it is a great service if you can afford it. My dog seemed happy and comfortable. For those that cannot afford for the guaranteed price to double or triple, keep shopping for a true low cost clinic. read more

I got my Gigi girl spayed at the location on Peoria and the technician was very nice & professional. They send her home with 3 days of pain medication and offer sedatives if your pet is being too active at home. They're really communicative, called me to let me know gigi was up next & called me for pick up. I'm kind of on the fence as to how I want to write this review since the overall service wasn't bad, it just wasn't great. I actually decided to use this service to save money. We have a vet we've used for years and they are awesome, but they wanted a fortune to perform a mass removal. I found this mobile service and decided to give them a try. I was impressed at how quickly they got back to me and how fast I was able to bring my dog in for an exam and quote. Turns out it did save us some money so I decided to go with them. I paid the deposit and booked the surgery date. Due to my dog's age I had to bring him back for blood work. When I brought him back the technician who helped me was extremely rude to me. She snapped when I couldn't remember the name of the allergy medicine he was taking. I was thinking "wow, she's having a bad day". In hindsight, I regret not asking her to stop being so rude to me since there was no reason for it. At that point, had I not already paid the deposit, I would have cancelled. In addition, I thought I would get to meet the Vet to discuss the surgery. I thought I would have a chance to look inside to see if it's somewhere I wanted to leave my pet. I thought someone would call later in the day to see how my pet was doing after surgery, I was wrong. None of these things happened. Ultimately, I was satisfied with their service, I just felt it wasn't very personable. I guess I was just expecting things to be different. Maybe my expectations were just way too high, but my pets are like my kids, and I've become accustomed to that exceptional treatment by my current vet. See why I was on the fence? Not horrible, not great. Kind of in the middle. As you've guessed, I'll stick with paying a higher price and return to my vet. Wow. Unimpressed. To be courteous I cancelled my cat's spay since she disappeared which is very upsetting to our family. I wasn't even worried about the deposit but apparently they wanted to make sure I knew I wasn't getting it back. read more

Excellent service! they spayed my dog over a year and a half ago! she healed very nicely, they even put a little bow on her after and explained very clearly the instructions and how to care for her. read more
