Dr. Kelly herself I did not meet, but her support staff are amazing. Everything from check-in to after surgery care, it's amazing what they are doing for our surrounding community to help save $$ on the high cost of care. My dog by our nearby vet estimated between $2300-$2800 and that didn't include the nose biopsy. The total out the door with the additional nose biopsy came to $1070. It included the surgery to have a lipoma removed, surgeon, staff, elizabethan collar, IV, pain meds, antibiotics, anti-inflammatory meds as well. Though they don't operate as a mobile surgical team anymore, they now have 3 offices, North Phx, Mesa and Peoria. We took our dog to Peoria, and as an 8 yr old, he is not up to speed yet 24hrs after yet, I'm confident of the service and follow up care I have needed thus far. We visited the west valley location. We had our two golden retrievers neutered there. Very friendly staff; very helpful and comforting throughout the booking, intake and discharge process. We had an 8:45 am arrival time and our boys were ready for pickup by 12:15pm. You cannot beat their prices. Our primary vet was triple the cost for neutering. They also offer add-on services like nail trimming, ear cleaning, vaccines, IV fluid and several others. I cannot recommend Dr. Kelly's enough. My only suggestion would be to call to book if you are trying to book multiple pets in one visit. Otherwise the online portal worked well for our first dog. read more

I recently inherited my mom's dog after her passing. The dog is 2 years old and was her companion. I brought it home and realized she never neutered him. I started asking around and Dr Kelly's keep coming up as a recommendation. I found them and booked an appointment online! Easy! When they returned my cat, they returned her in a dog carrier...a hard cage type thing. My friend picked her up for me and didn't know that that carrier was not mine. I contacted them and they said that they would get my cat's carrier back for me or refund me for my carrier, which was a nice soft carrier. I was quoted, in writing, a price ($271) for dental cleaning, that stated eveything was included. When I got there I was told that at that location it is required to have an IV catheter for an additional charge. I balked at that but let them take her back to get a further quote. When they brought Maggie back to me, the quote was for $1350 for a 6lb 4 yr old chihuahua. I am furious. I even showed them the email I received and was told that I was misquoted and that there was nothing to do about it. I must admit, I was very skeptical about this mobile vet unit when it showed up on my Yelp search. Even after reading the great reviews, it took me some time to consider this vet unit as an option for my fur kid. I'm super happy to say that Dr. Kelly's mobile surgical unit has exceeded my expectations. The staff are friendly and took great care of my baby during his dental cleaning for a FRACTION of what the cost would have been at a regular vet office. They are super busy, and may not be as convenient as booking at a regular vet office as their mobile unit is quite small compared to an actual clinic. You have to stand outside or sit in your car & wait when u drop off/pick up your pet, and the appointment making process can be quite drawn out. First, u have to text them to make an appointment, then wait for them to text u back, then they have to call u to confirm and get all pertinent information. If u miss their call, u have to wait for another hour or so before they can get back to u...other than a few of these inconveniences, the quality of service for the procedure that u're paying for your pet is very comparable, if not better than at a regular vet clinic. My little dog had two cracked molars. They weren't bothering him but I had an appointment for them to be removed during a cleaning. Sure enough they became infected 1 week before. I called all over the valley and couldn't get him in anywhere. A local dog mom suggested Dr Kelly. They got him in that morning. They gave me a phone quote. I filled out the paperwork. The tech took him back for the Dr to confirm the estimate. Less than I'd have paid with my vet. Included bloodwork etc. meds when we left. They were good with my scared little man. He went in at 8:15. Out at 10:30 because they don't wait in crates all day for their turn. One of the best experiences I've had with a vet. They did a great job. I did look at his mouth right after and every day. He healed perfectly. I will be seeing Dr Kelly for both of my dogs's dental and their vaccines. Changing my review. Unfortunately, this crew has changed drastically in the last couple years. I struggle with getting true information and feedback, we are told that things like bloodwork is able to be declined, but then when we decline it, we are told "oh, sorry, it's actually required" and the reason is some wishy-washy "the doctor thought it was a good idea" but with no backup or reasoning. The bloodwork adds another $100 and it is unnecessary even with their own age-related rules. Unfortunately, we are done with these guys. This is a money grab! They give a low estimate over the phone, and then once they are finished, there are 5 or 6 extra charges that were never discussed on the phone. My dogs visit was more than double the phone quote. Also, they did a pre op look and said I should expect 1 extraction. I later got a call recommending 5 more extractions. She had her teeth cleaned not long ago with X-rays and all looked good. So I asked if they could quickly email me the X-rays to see what the problem is with these other 5 teeth. ( I'm a dentist, so I know what to look for). I was shocked to hear they do not take any x-rays. Can't imagine extracting teeth without seeing what lies beneath the bone! read more

I would give Zero stars on this unfortunately. This is very sad and my wife and I don't know what has happened over the past few years because last time with our same cat Sonny a totally different experience. Last time this was a 5 star experience. Too bad to see poor customer service and poor business practices at full exposure here. Last time our cat had an infection in his mouth and during the consultation and blood work at the first appointment they told us about all the teeth that needed to be removed and ones they were going to try to save. Called us and gave us his blood work information. Did the surgery, gave excellent customer service and follow up. This time, paid $100 deposit for services and never said that the 1st appointment isn't included in the $100 as really what they want is to do the surgery and tug at your heart strings as this is for your beloved family member (cute cat) in this case. Shared with me his last x-ray from his original appointment and told me that the Dr. will need to evaluate once our cat is out from anesthesia to determine how much they will need to do. I told them that I would need to check with my wife as the original reason for the appointment was it looked like he had an infection that had already scabbed up and they weren't positive it was an infection. I paid the $80 some dollars for the blood work and appointment but argued that we put $100 deposit down for services but they wouldn't budge We left and a few days they called my wife for the blood results and left a message but my wife called back and to let them know that we weren't going to do any surgery as he seemed fine. They never called back. Since we really had no answers and no results from the blood work we put a stop on the $100 charge. Of course they got it reversed, that's not hard. YOU CAN KEEP THE $100 FOR THE SHORT GAME IN BUSINESS AS I WILL NEVER USE YOU OR REFER YOU AS I HAD DONE A NUMBER OF TIMES. Dave Ramsey always says to support small business, but the reminder is that small business has to do their part to do above and beyond and recognize if they have made a mistake. I absolutely love these people they're very good to our dogs. But they are impossible to get an appointment in the East Valley. Three times now I was told to call back at a "specific time on a specific day" and I did that... to the very minute. For the third time again, I cannot get an appointment because they don't have any. I don't understand why they can't schedule more than one week at a time. It's very unfortunate and it's very discouraging and does reflect poorly on their scheduling abilities I guess. Chase and Oreo had no idea what was going on but they recovered after surgery quite well, by evening time the were back to their normal selfs. It was a quick process and the people who assist and work with you are very sweet and kind. I paid extra for nail clippings and donated to their cause. You won't regret using their services. I recently used Dr. Kelly to have my fur babies spayed/neutered, microchipped, and nails trimmed. I received nothing but prompt responses and caring staff correspondence from start to finish. Well-kept surgical suite with no "funny smells" and I have the sense of smell of a pregnant woman at ALL times... I was actually surprised getting a pick up call about an hour later after dropping them off only to be notified that my little sillies ready to go! Outstanding! In my past experiences with specialty "cats only" vets, it took several days before I'd be reunited with my beans as well as hundreds of dollars each. I was so happy they were able to return to their comfort zone of home to heal. I was given pain medication (which hasn't been really necessary, thankfully) and instructions clearly written on how to care as well as contact them with any questions or concerns. I've used Dr. Kelly mobile in the past, but it's clear they have grown too much and can no longer adequately sustain a decent business model of scheduling people in a timely fashion. Their schedule for dentals only goes 6 weeks out at a time, and if all full for the area you're in, you are forced to be put on a regular wait list and/or a cancellation wait list. I called 3 weeks ago and was put on their wait list and have heard nothing ever since. Someone else told me that literally reach out to them every day to keep checking on the 'wait list'. Totally ridiculous. Found another low cost option and cat's teeth are being cleaned today. I do think this biz provides a valuable service for people who really need a low cost option, but to have people wait and wait and wait for a callback due to their exponential growth will start turning people away in the end. It was dim and dirty and smelled bad, the trailer. When I asked if I could see the surgical suite and how do they sterilize between dogs, the person looked confused. I said to refund my money. They tried to charge me differently than what was quoted, and under pressure, standing inside a dark doorway with no seats or table for examining my pet just here hand us your pet to cut on after you hand us money to do it without seeing a thing behind the curtain. Wham. Bam. The day of surgery. The receptionist said schedulers had no notes on me and for days I'd sent pictures and detailed what my pet needed. I was told my deposit was refunded. I then asked for a receipt. The girl didn't seem to know how to do that! I had to wait. THEN she deposited my refund and printed a receipt. I believe they would have kept my $50 deposit anyway. The separation between scheduling and care leaves a huge information gap. I wouldn't want an enemy to have surgery in that scummy filthy interior. I would never use that service. Ever. The lady informed me that he was doing great and in the kennel. They did an excellent job on my dogs teeth. However, his appointment was at 8:30am and they didn't finish with him until 3:30. When they returned him to me he had a Large dry piece stuck to his butt. I understand that they are a pet hospital and not a doggie hotel or daycare, but when you have a pet that long you could at least let them go to the bathroom or clean them and the kennel up if they go in it. She has recovered quickly with no complications or the need for follow-up visits. The post-surgery instructions were clear, detailed, and easy to follow. They were very kind, patient and answered all of my questions/concerns. They provided outstanding service and care at a fraction of what other vets charge. Our pup was slower than normal and his stomach was starting to bulge. We took him to the emergency vet found he had a tumor. Vet quoted us over $5,000 to do a splenectomy. We shopped around. I remembered taking our girls to Dr Kellys to get their teeth cleaned and contacted them. Scheduled a consultation and got a quote (under $3,000 out the door - Meds and all). Jessica took care of all the front end stuff at the Peoria location and she was AMAZING. She answered my million questions with a smile on her face. Our pup went in for surgery at 8am and was done within a few hours. Had a phone call by 11am that he did well. They said they tumor was 8inches in our 10-13lb dog =( They said the dog woke up early and was ready to play :) When I picked him up, I asked if I could oddly enough see a pic of the tumor. Moments later the doctor herself came out and gave updates and showed me the pics. By the time I took our pup to go potty and get in the car, the doctor herself had sent me the pictures to my phone. We are scheduled 6/6/23 to get his stitches removed. If this isnt customer service, I dont know what it! They really put us at ease with the care and compassion they have for our furry friends. First of all...it was difficult to make an appointment. She told me to call back later & I did. Was told to call back again the following week, which I did. Finally after calling back for the third time I was able to make an appointment. This was for their location in Mesa. She said the cost for dental cleaning ranges from $350-$550 for my yorkie. They don't need to see her for a consultation. Which I found a little odd. I mean not all dog's dental needs are the same. My husband dropped her off on Thursday 1/18/24 just before 11 am & I spoke to one of the assistants. She said the dr looked at my dog's ears & it could use an ear wash & possibly the dr would prescribe some ear cleaner. I asked how much is the ear wash? $25. Ok that's fine but I have Zymox so I don't want whatever the dr was going to prescribe. Then she asked if I wanted the IV? So they can monitor her & her organs better while under anesthesia. Isn't that usually included in the price??? I asked ok how much is it? $85. It would help her to come out of the anesthesia too. So of course I said ok. She said she will call me back after she's under anesthesia so the dr can get a better look at her teeth. Ok yes please call me back before doing anything. Now 3 hours have gone by without anyone calling me back. It's now a little after 2pm. WTH?! So I call them & some girl answers saying she's not at that location but will send them a message to call me. I get a call about 10 minutes later & she said the dr recommends pulling 23 teeth! Because there are pockets & it's not good because bacteria can build up and cause her problems later on. I asked how many teeth does she have? They have 43 teeth but she has 5 missing. So I asked her for the breakdown of all the teeth they wanted to extract. She did have 1 baby tooth incisor in the front which I knew about. But I never expected to hear 23! I asked how much teeth will she have left? She said she will have 14. But after she broke it down...she's like do you want to talk to the dr? Of course. After speaking with the Dr who asked for her chart she said they are extracting 14 teeth not 23. I was somewhat relieved. I was asking how much is all this going to cost? She passed the phone back to the girl who referred to my dog as a HE when she's a SHE! So after getting the extractions for 14 teeth, ear wash & IV. My total is now about $800. No where close to even $550. I told her I felt like your practice was a bait & switch business. You quote low to get the dogs in the door but once they are there you start adding on other charges. I said I am NEVER EVER using Dr Kelly surgical again! I asked why is it taking so long to start? It's been over 3 hours. Oh we worked on the harder dogs first because we don't want to keep your dog under anesthesia for too long. Ok I get that but obviously you have a problem with scheduling since you don't do a consultation first. I asked about what time will she be ready for pick up since we need to pick up our autistic son from school. She asked the Dr & she said about 4:15 but they will call me. Ok I hope everything goes well. Please call me. She called & said she's done & she's doing good coming out of the anesthesia. It took them about 30 minutes for cleaning & extracting & another 30 to monitor coming out of anesthesia. My bill came out to about $700. Not $550 or $800. I did put a $100 deposit down. So there's my honest review of the stress I dealt with from the beginning to the end. At least someone called me on Friday to see how she was doing. I said she's not eating or anything. Mostly just lying on my bed. But she did go outside to pee once. She said she will check on her today, Saturday and it's now 5:30 and no one has called. I took my dog to the Mesa location to be spayed. It is quite a distance from our home, but I thought it was worth it. Unfortunately, the communication was poor. When I dropped her off at 9:30am they told me it would take 4-5 hours and they would be closing at 3:00pm. My children had appointments that ran long, so all of us rushed back to pick up the dog at 3:00. We were in the waiting for approximately 10 minutes only to be told that she still hadn't gone in for surgery! What a waste of our time. I had to return over two hours later to pick her up. Great experience! I submitted my inquiry for bladder stone removal on my dachshund on a Saturday and was contacted early Monday offering a procedure on Tuesday. Cost at the end was a little more than quoted which i anticipated/is to be expected, and, i add that it was significantly lower than our primary vet. The transfer records was easy, the doc reviewed her records quickly to determine if my dog was a candidate for surgery, and boom, had a date and time ready before the end of the day on Monday. On surgery day, my questions were answered, pick up/drop off was smooth and easy, and they make themselves available for any questions at a later time. I've used this service several times for my dogs dental and cleaning. The offer spay/neuter, mass removals, and amputations as well. They offer services for dogs and cats. Here's some pro's and cons for this business. Pro's ¹ Easy to communicate with, I did most of my correspondence via text, they also take phone calls on their main number and have a fb account you can reach out to them as well 2 Fairly decent price, I was given a ball park price for the services I never exceeded the estimate on any of them. 3 They're located throughout the Phoenix and Tucson area - I used the Mesa location(s) 4 Customer service was amazing - granted I dealt with the vet techs but I will say I had NO issues or sass from any of them, they all seemed pleasant and very cordial 5 It's a one stop shop - all labs and meds required dispensed on site. 6 They're open 6 days a week 7a-3p Monday thru Saturday (appointment necessary) and Saturdays are highly coveted by customers. 7 They recently opened a fixed location - see their fb page for more info. 8 They offer a la carte services on the day of surgery (vaccines, nail trimming, anal gland emptying, etc) 9 They'll call prior for your authorization on large ticket items but you also sign a waiver indicating what you will allow to be done of you don't answer when they call (0, 25, 50, 100 dollars above estimated price of necessary). Con's (some may be subjective and not be an issue for you) 1They're not a full service vet - there's no after hours or central location to go to after closing hours (granted they provide you a list of FAQ's, answer all your questions before you leave, and they call the next day to follow up with you and your pet) 2If your pet is older than 5 years old you'll need to get labs done prior to the surgery date. Granted this is a quick scheduled appointment but you will need to take your animal and pay an additional fee due at the time of collection - $75 in my experiences for blood work. 3Most of the locations are at other animal centric businesses (pet spas, groomers) and parking can be a little difficult at times. 4 There's no waiting room, and as such there's no real time or place to speak with the vet or stay with your animal. As such they do give you a period of time that you should expect a call or tentative time for pick up but no guarantees on specifically what time they'll be done. They do ask if you have any times that won't work but again it's not specific times. I have used this clinic several times for surgery or dental cleaning, for multiple pets. In fact, it's why I came back this week to schedule my dog for her annual dental cleaning. I was grossly disappointed in this experience though. I texted to ask to book an appointment last week. I was told the usual information that $50 was due at the time of scheduling an appointment and to contact them when I was able to do so. 4 days later on payday, I did just that. I got NO response! I texted again the following Monday later and finally got a reply. In text conversation I was given options on how to pay for my dogs appointment and given a date that I thought was held. I chose to have them email me to collect payment information. At no time in the texting, or in my emails did it say I had to pay immediately to keep my spot. I was not even given 24 hours to reply before they gave away my spot and told me I was SOL. Their email was sent to me at 240pm and I paid before 9am the following day. When bringing this to their attention I got a half ass apology for the "miscommunication". Nothing was done to make this right. Mind you, nowhere on their website does it say you have to pay IMMEDIATELY to keep your spot. I guarantee you this will be the last time I use this service. read more

My kitten needed to have her right eye removed due to a trauma when she was born. I received a quote from a highly recommended eye specialist but it was simply out of my budget $4,300. Dr Kelly's practice is very transparent with their pricing. It was much more affordable for me $800. I was able to book the appointment within a few days and the communication was excellent mostly texting and a phone call for a credit card deposit. I even asked them about their reviews because honesty I was very confused by some of the not so favorable ones. They walked me through the entire process before hand and I left with her medications and written instructions. I didn't meet with the vet as she was busy doing surgeries prior to my kitty and then right back at it afterwards. It's pretty awesome she could see so many pets in one day. I think the Drs time is so valuable and it's better she continue doing what she does best! I felt very confident in the assistant's communication with me and very happy all went well. The animal rescue we work with uses Dr. Kelly when their dogs need to be spayed or neutered. I brought my foster dog Daisy here to be spayed. I was able to check her in right when I arrived and they took her off to the back. She was done with her surgery in an hour! We are not doctors but we thought the incision and stitching was done very well. You could barely see the incision and it was completely healed within 10 days. We had a great experience taking our foster dog here and the cost was excellent. I think it cost $75 because she weighs 50 pounds, not including the cost of her pain medication. The cost might be less for smaller dogs. read more

If I could I'd do zero stars. After confirming my appt via text with my dogs name, breed, WEIGHT, and age (5-6yrs old) I used PTO to take my German Shepard 30 min away from home for a dental cleaning. I explicitly told them how much my dog weighed (around 130lbs) they did not give any signs that there would be any issues. I get to my appt and they weigh my large German Shepard at 134lbs. They tell me they won't do the cleaning unless he LOSES 55lbs, then I can call back and schedule with them. What a joke. Literally wasted my entire day coming to this place that isn't competent enough to inform me before after they already had all the information they needed that my dog is 55lbs too heavy for them. read more

This place was so great. They quickly got me scheduled for two appointments within 3 days time because I expressed how worried I was about my kitty's declining health. They saved her life at less than a quarter of the cost I was quoted at a traditional vet, and I could not be more grateful. I will be bringing her back here again and again. read more

I can't say enough good things about this place. I've brought my cat Orion to them a few months ago. And my dog Ayden a couple days ago. Both for dental cleanings and both times have been awesome! The ladies are very friendly. I was worried about my dog going under anesthesia because he has a history of biting and the woman I dealt with reassured me and took the time to make him feel comfortable. They have taken for care of my animals and their prices are much better than what you'll find at a regular vets. They stay pretty busy so I recommend setting your appointment in advance. And if you call and they don't answer, don't be discouraged like I did at first. They have a live chat option that I used to get in touch. Really glad I found this vet! read more
