went there today on my way home from los angeles sent my daughter in to buy me a lottery ticket ( i always buy one on my way home from being out of town) she's 19 and has her ID she goes into get one and the lady working cashier tells her she has to be 21 to buy a lottery ticket ? California law is 18 she specifically said it's gambling so it's the same thing if you were to go to Nevada to gamble went right across the street to a different gas station and they sold one to her with checking her ID and double checked with them that you only had to be 18 not sure if it's true or if she didn't want the business. 7/16/23 around 6:30 pm read more

It's a pretty decent gas station. The inside is a bit small but you're not really going to a gas station for store space. They got a variety of snacks, liquor, smokes and etc. It's decently clean and the staff are pretty nice as well. They got a good number of pumps and also have air/water plus a drive-thru wash if needed. read more

I am giving this gas station only 3 stars because the quality of gas they have has gone down in the last few weeks. I have been driving from Simi Valley once a week to fill up because the quality of gas was better than anywhere else. I could get close to 400 miles on a tank of gas. Now I drive 32 miles and am down 1/4 of a tank. The quality of gas has gone down quite a bit. I would give the employees 5 stars because they are all super nice and helpful. But right now the gas sucks and I won't drive the 64 miles round trip to fill up once a week. read more

Terrible gas station. It is just a fake price. My car will fill up with only 13-14 gal of fuel but when I went here it got full up to 16 gallons. it pump air on my car for almost 2-3 gal and I paid extra for it. Horrible experience. You should try other gas station close by. Don't get exited with the price as it is same as Arco gas station cross road. read more

DO NOT USE, CARD SCAM. I have receipts and bank messages catching the scam and canceling my card, but the bank won't prosecute. On 01/07 I stopped to fill up at 14:01 hours. I used my card, pin and zip on the pump and only after entering that information it forced me to go to cashier. The cashier told me to input a large number because the system would only charge me what was owed (which is true at times when the pump is not able to accept card payments) I only entered $50. I have the receipt. Around an hour later I was contacted by Chase bank to confirm a suspicious $85 transaction. DO NOT STOP HERE, YOU WILL BE ROBBED. I rarely write about Gas Stations, but I think I need to do this because you are leaving my Los Angeles County. If you are headed up on the I-5 Freeway, you may want to make a stop in Castaic at Parker Road to Shell Gas Station. There is not much to write about since my company refuels their vehicles from time to time. Shell is located right next to the Carl's Jr at Parker Road exit. Whether you are entering/exiting Castaic, the food alone might urge you stop in Castaic. This Shell Gas Station does have an automated car wash on the premise. Shell is usually packed and quite busy. Shell and Pilot Travel Center are the two busy locations for basic refueling options. Like I said, not much to write about, but its good to pass the word. Shell is somewhat cheaper, but I prefer using Pilot from time to time. Shell doesn't have the amenities Pilot does, but it will fill your basic car needs. Yelp is My Review, My Story, and My Life. If you need to stop for gasoline before heading up North over the Grapevine, then this is a good stop to fill up at. The gas price isn't too bad, and there is even tv monitors at the gas pumps. Pretty cool. read more

A special thank you to Kirk who took the time to make sure the bathroom was nice and clean before i used it after a previous customer had left the place in shambles. When you are traveling the worst thing to encounter is a gross and messy bathroom, especially when you are hauling around little kids who touch everything or senior citizens who need to hold onto things so they don't fall down. I appreciate the spacious bathroom, working soap dispensers, faucets that don't splash water all over your clothes when you turn them on, and great customer service. Not to mention very reasonable gas prices. Stop here first to avoid getting gouged at the pump. read more

This is the letter I sent to shell corporate offices telling them about my experience with the shell on Parker Rd. Has anyone else dealt with this? To Whom it May Concern: Yesterday, October 27 at approximately 3:15 I decided to stop at Shell located in Castaic, Ca off of Parker Rd. Mainly because I had enough points to get the 20 cents off my gas, which I love. I went in to give my Ralphs card information and to run my card since we live in a trucker town and unfortunately have a lot of card thefts at the pump, what a big mistake! First the cashier asked me credit or debit, I then told him credit and asked if he could also take my Ralphs card info. he seemed a little annoyed by the fact that he had to type in 10 more numbers but I kinda brushed off the feeling that I was inconveniencing him. When the machine asked for my pin, I said I had asked for credit which he then replied "no you said you wanted debit" I was a little taken aback by that. Whether I said credit or debit I have been taught in my years of customer service the customer is always right and you never argue with them. But I know I said credit. I apologized saying that I was thinking credit and it must have come out debit. Fine he said rolling his eyes and voided the transaction. We started again, he didn't want to enter in my 10 digit Ralphs card had a problem understanding what numbers I was saying it took him a min. to which he continued rolling his eyes. And when I ran my credit card (which happens to be a prepaid and I did not know my husband had used it earlier that day) he told me it had been declined. I guess I didn't understand him when he said that or maybe it was that I was upset and just wanted to get out of there but I hurried out to my car to pump only to find it wasn't working. So I hurriedly went back in worried that just like me saying credit and he thought I said debit, he thought I said a different number pump and someone else was pumping my money into their tank. The store was busy at this time and there was a line but I went to the front in between customers and asked what pump he had put my money on. Loudly he stated that my card had been declined, actually he said it more then once like I was slow and could not understand what he was saying. At this point the whole store knew my business and I was ready to melt into the floor but I said that I would need to run another card to which he replied "Fine I guess if you are not going to get declined again" !!!! I was blown away! Should I have left yes!! probably! but like an idiot I stayed, I had 4 kids who needed to get home and I needed gas. AND I was fighting with the employee to give him my money. I told him I couldn't believe how rude he was being and with a shrug of his shoulder he said, "then talk to my boss" like he knew that wouldn't do a thing. So I went outside to start pumping and came back in. Long story short the boss was 10 steps away in another room with the door open and had not come out once since the whole incident, he looked at me the whole time I was talking to him like I was stupid and I was wasting his time. He never once apologized just told me he would handle it (I didn't believe it for a second) and tried to give my baby free candy like that would make everything go away. I have heard on many occasions through different facebook pages that this particular shell has very rude employees and they have lost business, but I have never had a problem till yesterday. And I will never go back there, I was humiliated and belittled. And I will not give my money to a business who treats me like I was treated yesterday. read more

When I make the road trip between L.A. & S.F, I can't make it on a single tank of gas. So I stop by this Shell station to top off the tank which is located off the 5 North at the Parker Road exit in Castaic. It's a bit trickier on the southbound direction where you take the Lake Hughes Road exit and drive south on The Old Road for about 0.5 mile and turn left at Parker. read more

Last night I stopped in, the prices here are the best of any of Shell in the area. I only use Shell.i went into pay, a friendly gentleman name Carlos helped me, the lady only had one customer and he jumped in to help me! I paid for my gas in cash. I went to the pump and it wouldn't clear. As I was walking back to get help, here came Carlos to help. Very good customer service I might add. He had already set the pump, it was me who forgot to tell him about my rewards card. He said "sure" let's go fix that! Very helpful and friendly at the same time. While I went back in I spoke with Anna and Kirk while waiting. Everyone here is very friendly. I hate this one chore, but they made it pleasant! Once again Carlos came out to make sure all was alright. Very clean and tidy outside. Very nice experience, I live in Castaic it is very convenient also, the help and nice people make it better. I went to the pump over the weekend and the pump I pulled up to had gas and oil all around. So bad that i had to try to step around it in order to get gas. They had placed some of the sand or whatever they use to soak it up, but it looked like it had been there for a while and should have been cleaned up. It does not take much to have a clean facility and now that Arco has opened up next door with lower prices, Shell better step it up if they want to keep their customers coming back. read more

Don't get me wrong gas prices are amazing here and it benefits me since I live up the street from Shell! But worse customer service! There is always the same guys working there and there is the one main guy that is just such an ass hole and all he does is talk on the phone with personal calls and raises his voice at you! Tonight Feb 25th 2016, gas pump stops after .46 pumped. The prices/screen are all blinking so after a minute or so of waiting for it to clear, I lock my car and head in. I wait my turn in line and then explain to Marcos, behind the counter that the machine just stopped. He looks at the display and agrees, "yep, you pumped.46". He tells me there's nothing he can do and that I can retry @ the same pump or move to another. I settled on the latter and moved. Re-keyed my Ralphs discount #, put in my credit card and it flashes- see cashier. Ughh!! I walk in, calmly wait my turn in line and Marco sees me and says, "oh it won't let you pay out there because you already used that card at another pump". Hmm, you'd think he'd have said that before he told me to move. So I prepare to pay in the store and he says how much do you want and I said "I want to fill it up, not sure how much, can you open the pump?" as I go to hand him my card. He says, "no fill ups tonight". What? he repeats himself and I ask what do you mean no fill ups? He says you need to tell me exactly how much you want. Frustrated I say, just put 20 on and I'll have to reconsider buying my gas here in the future. He looks me straight in the eye and tells me to leave the store. Just like that, flat deadpan, like he does it all the time. Crosses his arms and says "I'm not selling you any gas". I was stunned. Are you serious? I've been buying my gas @ that station specifically because of the Ralphs rewards for years but no more. Marcos has lost a customer for his boss and the stores owner, not just me but also my husband and driving age children and any friends I have. Great job Marcos!!! read more
