I too am an employee of Kelly's Creature Comforts and have been going on 5 years. In all my years of employment (mainly in dealing with the public) and all the different bosses and their personalities, I can honestly say that Kelly is a boss that believes in her employees and has never thrown me or any other staff "under the bus" to placate a client. As long as we do our job - caring for, not just "pets" but, other peoples' "family" members, she will defend us and stand behind us...the client isn't always right. And yes, the expectations are high and all about the clients but not to the detriment of an employee, ever. Yes, I have had to hand a few calls off to another employee who might be better equipped to handle that particular call at that time, but it was for the benefit of the pet/animal that was in our care at the time. This is a business that may not be for everyone and it may not propel you into the 1% but the other rewards are well worth it. read more

We have been usually Kelly Creature Comforts for over 2 years now. We started using them when our Black lab Chloe was just a few months old. Initially I called to inquire about the doggy day care but then the Manager Julia talked to me about the dog walking and I never had thought about that for an option . Julia set up a meet and greet and came to our house to meet Chloe . She answered all of our questions and concerns and assured us Chloe would be in good hands and we even took a practice walk that day . KCC does background checks on every employee and takes their hiring process very serious . We have only had the best experience using them and Chloe looks forward to her walks that she has twice a week! Julia and Nicki have been our dog walkers for Chloe and they are both amazing ! There is always a detailed note after the walk and we leave treats for them to give Chloe during and after the walks . Chloe has also done the boarding with KCC at Auntie Sharons house while we've been away on vacation . The boarding process was seamless and easy and I loved getting texts and pictures throughout the day on how Chloe was doing . I would highly recommend this company to anyone and would much rather support a small business then a big company like rover . read more

Our dog LOVES going to day care! He gets all riled up even when we're far down the street, then he runs up to the gate wagging his tail. The dogs all play nice together and our pup is always exhausted when we pick him up. Sure is nice after a long day at work! They are very flexible with their hours and easy to get in contact with. I have been using Kelly's Creature Comforts for many years for both my dog and my cats. I use the in-home boarding for my dog and then have a pet sitter come to check on my cats at my house once a day while I am away. My sitter, Carol is wonderful and I have nothing but good things to say about her. She is caring, responsible and all around great with my animals. My pets all have special needs and require extra attention which Carol takes in stride. I appreciate the ability to go away and not worry about the well being of my pets. The prices for services are very reasonable. They are in-line with the local boarding facilities at the vet, but my animals receive more personalized care. Being able to have my dog in a home and not in a cage at a boarding facility is worth it to me. I get photos of my dog snuggled into the blanket watching TV with Carol or playing with the other dogs in the backyard. Kelly and her staff are professional, as well. The website and ability to pay through PayPal is convenient. The recent update has made scheduling convenient, as well. The one time there was an issue with an invoice payment not getting posted, Julia quickly fixed it and responded to my email immediately. Overall, I highly recommend Kelly's Creature Comforts. I have been bringing my spoiled 4 year old lab blue healer to Kelly's for over 2 Years maybe longer. I love Kelly's. I know my dog won't be locked up. BEWARE. Hired Kelly's to watch our dog at our home. Dog had NO walks and did all of his "business" in the house. Obviously was not let outside and no one watched to make sure he was going to the bathroom. Kelly avoided responsibility for our RUINED carpets and blamed it on us for asking for just two visits a day - well, that's what your employee recommended, and you're supposed to be the experts. We are now paying $5,000 to replace all our flooring. Kelly hires "consultants" to go to houses and does not supervise or have any idea what they are doing. Will NEVER use them again and am telling everyone I know to stay away. read more

After an initial phone call with Kelly (the owner) I decided to have a meet and greet. During the initial conversation on the phone I gave an extensive background on how we treat our dog as family. I made it clear to her that we have had him for 6 of his 7 years and he has never been spanked nor will he ever. I informed her of how his first owner treated him very poorly. Kelly made it seem as though she was compassionate and loved the dogs. Upon arriving Kelly was folding blankets and cleaning up dog hair while approx 8 dogs were playing outside. My first impression with her was not pleasing as she consistently made comments about how I am wrong in raising my boy the way I have. My dog is the only dog who gets hikes everyday, and is spoiled rotten with love and cuddles, has been fixed and goes to the vet for routine checkups. How is this wrong? My dog hasn't been raised around other dogs and gets nervous around them. Kelly made a comment that its my negative energy causing this and not that he is nervous. She then proceeded to allow Luke to meet the other dogs. When I mentioned perhaps we should start with one dog at a time, she ignored me and opened up the door to allow all 8 of the dogs to come running up to Luke which naturally made him more nervous. Every time Luke would try to sniff at a dog Kelly would grit her teeth and swat Luke with a plastic ball thrower. I made it clear we don't hit him; besides who does she think she is by doing so? It made me concerned that if she is going to ignore what I have to say and hit him in front of me what will she do when I am not around? I wasn't even there for 10 minutes and she swatted at him 3 times so I left with my English Pointer making it clear why I was leaving. Her response to me was "I didn't mean to hurt your feelings". No my feelings weren't hurt, she's just incredibly unprofessional and I don't trust her with my dog. read more

Kelly is absolutely wonderful! I have taken both of my puppies to her since they were about 6 months old. They love going to daycare, and I know that they are safe and happy. Anytime I leave town Kelly is always my first choice for boarding. I love the homelike atmosphere, and Kelly even texts me updates if I request them.
