I've been a customer of this place for over a decade. Today something unconscionable happened, so I'm going to expose a practice I didn't know existed. Do not let them play this trick on you. They'd been emailing me incessantly for months to get my car inspected. Money's so tight that I literally had to plan it around paycheck timing. Just yesterday my water heater burst all over my basement because it had corroded in less than 5 years. The plumber told me that my well water is too acidic. Needless to say, trying to get an impromptu loan for a water heater was traumatizing in and of itself. I got a high-interest loan for $2K. But I'd made this appointment for my inspection and I didn't want to be a no-show. Someone from Kelly had told me to print up an inspection coupon from online so I did. I found one for a $49 inspection and I could choose 3 free services with that coupon. So I had my neighbor print it up (I have no printer) and I drove there, still upset about how this water heater situation is going to make my life hell. I got there early. I'd made this appointment over a week ago. This guy, Anthony, motioned me over to his desk and I gave him the coupon. He asked which 3 free services I'd chosen. I told him the tire rotation, brake check, and a "check engine light scan." I also said that I would like my oil changed. That wasn't on the list, and I didn't know if it was something they'd look at during an inspection. (clearly not a car girl.) He was practically giddy. He added, "By the way, your state inspection is a free service. I do have to tell you that." That was my first red flag, because why in the ACTUAL F did i need to spend $45 for a free inspection? Even their coupon states that the car inspection is covered. Shysters. The second red flag was that he said it would take an hour and a half, when they'd told me it would take 1/2 an hour when I made the appointment, because I wanted to know whether I needed to be dropped off or wait. I'd chosen to wait, even though I had to take off work for that hour during a time it's hard to take off work. Two hours later, Anthony slithers up to me in their miserable waiting room where they blast some cheesy lifeguard soap opera for hours straight. It was physically jarring. He tells me that the mechanic found something... and that he couldn't pass me for an inspection. Keep in mind that my car has less than 23K miles on it and I've had it for 8 years. The brakes work perfectly, probably because I drive like an old lady though I'm not. I was just taught to maintain my car. I'd also recently had my tires inadvertently checked because I'd driven over a nail and had to replace a tire. ($95 for Progressive to send someone to put a donut on at 9PM at night, and then $200 for the regular tire replacement. Still bummed about that as well, but at least it seemed fair.) Anthony says that he doesn't know how I got to Kelly Service safely since I had no brake pads. My brakes don't even squeak. But I'm a chick in there alone and maybe look like a sucker. He told me that my dipstick was bone dry and no one could believe my car is running. Even between oil changes, I know how to check my oil. I had oil, it was just dark and I knew that meant it needed to be changed. My neighbor changed it 4K miles ago. Still, I had come into Kelly for a $45 inspection with 3 "free" services. Criminal. I thought my big splurge was the oil change. Anthony proceeds to scare the living hell out of me with "no one can believe you got here in one piece." He said I needed front brakes and the bill would be $363. At this point, my eyes have filled up. I asked him if I could leave and think about how to pay for the brakes. He said that he "couldn't" advise me on that. Sheer panic. I wondered if the water heater loan people could add $363. I thought I couldn't drive home safely and I was already freaked out about how late I was for my job. I told him I felt like I didn't have a choice. I finally just acquiesced and then tried to think about who could pick me up from there because I'd have to leave the car until I could pay for the new front brakes. I called my neighbor and he told me he could take me home. He was 30 minutes away, but he told me to call the loan people in the meantime just to see. I did and they added the $363.00. I sat at Kelly Service for another 2 hours feeling the weight of the world. Finally Anthony approached me and knelt down next to the miserable chair I'd been sitting in for hours, feeling an unbearable anxiety. He gave me a bill for $568.00. I had come into this place in good faith, thinking I was going to get a $45 inspection plus whatever an oil change costs. I got paid yesterday, so i was okay with possibly paying $100 for an inspection and oil change. I wouldn't even have known about the coupon if I hadn't been told by Kelly Services to print it up. The first words out of my mouth were, 'How could you do this to me?" Unconscionable shysters. read more

Horrible service and useless service technicians. If i could give them zero stars i would. Sent my car in for transmission issues, i had an extended warranty thag covered it. They took 3 weeks going back and forth with the company before they even put their hands on the transmission to figure out what was wrong with it. The supervisor Mike has been the most useless supervisor ive ever encountered. They only called me when they wanted to try charging me for extra stuff, any time i wanted an update I had to call them. Mike flat out told me he could answer basic question to the warranty company without his tech. After 4 weeks i finally get my car back "fixed". 3 days later same issues pops up. Sent it back and after almost a week of nothing they finally call me and try telling me that because my battery was low it was causing the transmission to have troubke shifting to 1st and 2nd gear. Makes perfect sense right? Now its been a week and a half and still dont have my car back. Its "fixed" again but the manual transmission doesnt work. Which is part of the reason i dropped it off to begin with. So that tells me they didnt even address it let alone fix it. Ive had my car 3 days the last 6 weeks going on 7. Bought a used car here in July 2025. Car shopping (i.e. dealing with car salesmen) is by far one of my most detested activities and I had spent a lot of time looking at used cars online before deciding on the one at Kelly. The salesman, Anthony Jayetileke, was decent enough - I went in knowing what I wanted and how much I was willing to spend and made it known, and I didn't get any bad vibes from him, there was no attempt to upsell, etc. The only slight issue was with the finance guy: 1. I waited for over an hour that night to speak with him. I'm usually pretty patient and understanding, but that was excessive and a bit shady when he was suddenly immediately available when I finally said I needed to leave because I hadn't been home at that point in 11 hours and needed to let my dog out. He then had me out of there in 10 minutes, after he had spent over an hour with one single customer before me? Sure, ok. 2. During that hour+ of time to kill, I looked up the used car loan rates at my bank (which I had told them I wanted to use for financing). He tried to tell me he got me the best interest rate through a different bank and when I told him what my bank's rate was, he changed his tune and conceded I was correct. Smarmy, though I feel that's standard for the business. Overall a good experience - I feel like I got a good car for a decent price, and aside from the attempt by the finance guy with the higher interest rate, I don't feel like I was taken advantage of. Kelly buick is a rip off. I get free inspections as I bought my car there. Last year at the inspection they told my air conditioning needed repair. My son took it to get repaired and there was no problems with it. I took it for inspection a few days ago. They refused to inspect due to fact my tires were bad. They tried to sell me tires for $800. Today I took my car to another dealer and it was inspected without any problem. Kelly works on commission and creates problems to get your money. Do not go there. I am be old but I am not stupid. I've had my truck in three times for the auto high beams not working properly. Technician drove it home and saw what happened but made excuses for why it was happening. my exhaust tailpopen fell off and for some reason and isnt covered by the warranty offered by the dealership. And I still feel the shutter that I complained about that they said was just normal shifting between cylinders. read more

Went today to purchase a truck made the deal yesterday paperwork was submitted , we were told that the truck would be ready at 3:30 but decided to go at 2:30. No financing have a check ready no issues whatsoever., went into the dealership. Asked a representative. Where's my truck, rep said, " your truck is being detailed". Found that very interesting when we were looking at the truck parked in the lot the same place it was yesterday... the representative lied to my face. As a result, one of the managers jumped in the truck that was still in the lot and drove it over to another area for detailing. That's the next lie. Decided not to take the truck and put a good amount of money back in my pocket. If they lie about the vehicles that they're selling, can you imagine what they do when it comes to service. Worst experience in all my 52 years!!! After a week of negotiating we decided to come in to purchase a Jeep. This is the first car buying experience for my daughter as it was a college graduation gift. Note that we were paying outright and not financing They had us come in and had us wait so they could do the paperwork and we sat there an hour and half as they kept saying they were just working on a few things. I found this very odd since we were not financing, but trusted that everything was done as we agreed on the price they took my license and insurance and the deal was done as far as I knew. Well I was wrong! Apparently there was someone there to look at it while we were there and I guess they wanted to see if they could get financing and my guess pay more for it, that is why they had us sitting there for an HOUR AND A HALF! Then they tell us they sold it to someone else! Why not just tell us right when they realized they had another buyer! I'll tell you why, because they are shady! They kept us there in case that financing fell through so that we would be there to buy it! Who does that! Who leaves a customer, a customer with money to outright buy the car sitting for an hour and a half just waiting for nothing! Wasted half my day and all they can say is they are sorry! What you should have done was be "transparent" like they said they pride themselves in as a dealership when we first came to look at the Jeep. Now not only did you waste my day, you also made this the first car buying experience for my daughter, who clearly was broken hearted to boot, but life is full of heart breaks, but I do hope the world doesn't fill up with dealerships of this caliper!!! I brought my GMC Yukon in for an air bag replacement, recall, so while I had it at the dealership I had them check my stereo system because it kept cutting in and out, no sound, no blinker noise and no Bluetooth. The technician told me the radio was going bad, so I needed to replace the radio, at the cost of $1,200.00 It's an older GMC so I didn't think it was worth it, so I took the radio out , got the part number from the top of the unit and shopped for a refurbished , one year old warranty one on EBay for $350.00. Installed the unit and had the same problem, I contacted the place I bought it from eBay and he said it was probably the stereo amplifier and whoever the technician was that troubleshoot the system for you didn't know what he was doing, so I asked the service advisor at Kelly for my refund of $150.00 because they miss diagnosed my problem, or give me $150.00 credit for the purchase of the replacement amplifier. It's been three weeks down. I'm still haven't heard anything back from them, not happy with their service department at Kelly GMC. read more

We lost of key fob and had to get a replacement. My wife placed the order and paid for it before Thanksgiving. I had to call three different times because no one in the parts department called me back. When I finally went to pick up my key, in mid January, they charged an additional cost to program the key. Had an appointment for an oil change and inspection. Waited for almost 90 minutes after the appointment time before they even got the car on the lift. This made me late to pick up my daughter from band practice. To make matters worse the next morning I noticed a large spot of oil on the garage floor. At first I just thought it was excess that had dripped off the frame but it turned out the oil filter was not sufficiently tightened. I had to stop into Mavis tire to have that taken care of as it would have lost too much oil driving back to Allentown. From now on I take the car to another GMC dealer. read more

Had contacted Kelly buick in Emmaus Pa for repairs to our vehicle , we had also opened a case with buick/GM which we found out they make you believe they offer cost assistance but in the end they dont. Our experince in the short version: We delived our car to kelly and everything seemed on the up and up. they promised us the car would be done with the 6 hour Transmission repair on the coming friday. I Called friday when i didnt hear from them toward the end of the day and said we wont have it done till Saturday due to some mechanics calling off, well ok that could be true (lies) so saturday i called 30 minutes before closing and the receptionist said they would call me back in 5 minutes, well that called never came, We needed answer on status due to needing the car for my wife due to her being on call at the local hospital was explained the day i dropped the car off. Very important right? Well monday came and went with no call from them, Tuseday i finally get a call mid morning so i called them back and the response from the service manager asked if i was ok when i answered the phone, very confusing to say the least, so i explained our situation again and our dissatisfaction. got the apology and said i will now have to work out a time to return the loaner which was never offered to us when we dropped our car off or a rental which i had know idea they even offered, this loaner and rental info came to our attention only after complaining about the lack of communication and lies. So two hours after they told me the car was ready another sales lady called me and said we have an emergency and we need the laoner back ( more lies). Anyways my wife tried calling the locations GM, and couldn't get through, voice mail was full, so we took a ride over there to see what was going on. we explained to the GM and we got nothing but more lies and deflection on the situation but they did have our car ready, so come the next day Buick/GM calls me after talking to kelly that moring and says Kelly is still waiting for us to return the loaner and pick our car. Man these people are not only a bunch of liers but unfortunately very confused to say the least. And this is just the highlights of our experience. This entire company does not understand the concept of being illegal to use email, text, and phone calls to cold call and solicit sales without written consent per the telephone consumer protection act. Every person I spoke with upto the president of the company Greg Kelly was unaware of their infractions and laughed at me. They refused to even listen or look into what I was saying. Shame really. This is just one of many problems I have had with this dealership. Their customer service, general manager, and service departments have all been difficult to work with. I have never had so many issues with a company before. Their technicians are unable to find issues and do repairs. They always need outside help. Their management play by and make up their own rules. And their corporate staff just laugh and blow you off because they just don't think someone could know what they are talking about. My advice take your money elsewhere! I was having issues with brakes on my truck & each time I took it there the Technician's comment was that they are working properly. I didn't know that after you applied the brakes softly, 3-4 times they were supposed to go to the floor (sarcasm). I did some research & found out that there was a Service Notice out about the issue I was experiencing. I printed it out, called the Service Manager, he verified it, made an appointment to have the Service Notice implemented on my truck. Low & behold my brakes are now working like they are supposed to from the factory. One would think this would be one of the first steps a Technician would take (looking for TSBs or Service Notices) especially if the customer had the vehicle back multiple times for the same issue. There was no charge from GMC for this repair (thank goodness) but I had to troubleshoot the issue & do the Technician's job. read more

As a long time Kelly customer, I didn't hesitate to encourage my husband to contact them. He found the truck he loved, we put a deposit on it, and as it was a cash purchase, we were told to let them know when we closed on our home equity. They called a few days later asking us to come sign all the papers, which we did. The deal was done, all we needed were the closing funds. We were then advised they made a "management decision" to cancel our deal, and refunded the deposit. The salesman called shortly after the cancel, and said the truck was still available if we were interested. My husband reached out the day the funds credited our account. He was told the truck was indeed still there, but was $5,000 MORE than the MSRP (which we had agreed to pay). She told us what we saw was correct, drove 1 1/2 hrs to the dealership only to find out the price we saw in the internet was for the wrong truck. The website mentioned nothing about the truck being a limited version but then we got there and they started talking a different tune. It would be nice if they could have respected our time and been upfront but I guess that's asking too much. The arrogance of the salespeople, what they showed me instead of what I wanted----THEY told ME---" Oh, well it's not that much more in price, what we have available." I felt this was demeaning and sexist in tone because I was female. How f**king dare THEY tell ME WHAT I F**KING want. I'm the one who is going to be driving this car; not them!!!! Anyway, when I confront them about bait and switch..... 2 con artist snake oil lowlifes make up every excuse in the book, waste my time and ultimately DO NOT ANSWER the question of where is the car in the ad that is $4,000 cheaper than every car in the lot because THAT IS THE ONLY ONE I WANT!!!!!! They, 2 of them, call me a cheapskate and also say a bunch of other things that highly imply this. They also had the nerve to tell me THEY as salesmen are doing ME a favor by selling me a car. This is when I got angry and said "No" ... I and people like me pay YOUR commission. I also pay you not to lie to me... So don't lie. What I said sounds arrogant, but not as arrogant or as despeate as what the con artist workers who did NOT steal money from me said that day. I would not advise this dealership at all and would agree with the majority of the other negative comments on here. The sales person was nice enough and well spoken (keep reading), but didn't back up what he originally told me. When discussing the deal via phone after the initial visit I asked for the price breakdown. He wouldn't give me any additional information until I came in(to be expected). So I went in the next day to negotiate off of the original price. After some brief negotiating (which I thought went fairly well) the deal was taken to the sales manager's desk. One manager returned to clarify what my ideal price was to be, then a few minutes later a second one came to tell me that there was an error and that the price I was looking at was for a down payment of the $4,500 in equity I had in my current vehicle PLUS $5,000 cash. It was originally agreed with the salesman that my down payment would be: equity of trade-in ($4500) plus $500 cash totaling $5,000. Suddenly they wanted $9,500. $9,500 as down payment for a LEASE on a mid-model Acadia. It gets even better. I mean worse. The second sales manager then continues to apologize about the misunderstanding about the down payment and then blames the misunderstanding on the sales person (who is Indian) as being hard to understand which has lead to several errors in the past; previously costing the dealership as much as $11,000 on a deal. Really? Thats what a manager has to say about an employee who has reportedly been with your dealership for more than 15 years! He can't be that hard to understand or made that many errors if he has been there that long. He then tried to "not let me leave unhappy" by offering me my trade in, plus 1500 cash to get to the original quoted monthly price. Needless to say, no deal was made that night. I called and spoke with the original manager today, confirming the "deal" from last night. Once confirmed and unchanged he didn't seem very interested in any further negotiations or discussion. Im not sure what is more offensive about this attempted deal. The "offer" or the manager disrespecting an employee behind his back to a customer in an attempt to justify a ridiculous bait and switch attempt. Why is it ok for you to know the max I'm willing to pay, but when I ask what your bottom line price is for the purchase vehicle your response is that it is listed at the competitive NADA or KBB price already. Secondly... it is common knowledge that car dealerships make more profit selling used vehicles than new,allowing for some negotiation. I'll explain that further in a bit. So Nick takes my information and then has me sign a form giving consent to inquire my current vehicles payoff amount... yet another way they can assure they will NOT offer you a dollar over what you owe and line their pockets even more by giving you a CUTTHROAT offer.Nick then had not 1 but 2 people drive my truck. At this point I waited outside under the awning and watched. The first guy who drove it was gone for six minutes, and pulled back in. The second guy was gone for 4 minutes and pulled back up and parked it. I own a 2008 Ford F-150. I purchased it 8 months ago for $19,000. There is a small minor dent in the rear bumper that was there when I purchased the truck. I also have an ABS light on, which is the sensor I replaced recently from a used truck, my stupidity I should have bought a new sensor. Nick comes out to get me and I sit at his desk. I could tell he was about to throw a LOWBALL offer my way by his demeanor. He looked nervous, as he should be since I explained to him from the beginning I didn't want to waste my time, but something told me he's had to make such scumbag offers before...Nick went on to show me a print out of my vehicles worth... saying that at "Good condition" it's worth $6k In my mind I'm immediately doing the calculation and basically what Nick was telling me is somehow my vehicle DEPRECIATED $13,000 in 8 months....Clearly I became offended, pissed off and annoyed.. Nick attempted to justify this RIDICULOUS offer by saying they will need to do work on the truck... $70 sensor $20 to pull the dent out of the bumper.. then Nick continued playing Mr Mechanic by telling me that the ball joints and steering need to be replaced bc the wheel shook during the 10 minutes of test drive. I countered stating it's not the ball joints, rather the overly large tread tires that were just bought and put on it. At this point I asked for my keys. Nick then went into backup mode and said "your attempting to purchase too much truck" I said "no the price of the truck is NOT the issue, rather the ridiculous amount your attempting to offer for my truck" I asked for my keys for the second time now. Again, Nick started talking about a different truck he'd like to show me. I explained loudly once again, nothing he can try to sell me is gonna make their pathetic offer for my truck reasonable. I then explained to Nick that two days earlier I was offered $15,300 for my truck. How could two dealerships be so far apart? The only logical explanation is that this place doesn't want to just sell a car, they want to screw the buyer on the trade in and get Rich doing it. I then asked for my keys the 3rd time and told him I was done arguing. This wasn't a negotiation, it was an attempted shellacking. Nick finally realized I wouldn't be had, and got my keys.After leaving I stopped at my neighborhood mechanic and asked him to drive my truck. He had ABSOLUTELY NO IDEA what they were talking about. Funny how two guys, who were dressed in button down shirt and polos, and didn't appear to be mechanics could diagnose issues on a vehicle in 4 & 6 minutes each only to find out from an ACTUAL MECHANIC what I already knew... there is no issue. Bottom line, no matter how much you tell these people from the beginning that your not gonna play the games, they don't care. They prey on the ignorant, unsuspecting, over worked, underpaid hard working American. It's the same old scumbag salesman that will do anything for the sale of a vehicle. I'll gladly take my business elsewhere. Another wasted, much needed day off I spent arguing with a stranger who tried telling me I overpaid $13000 8 months ago, bc I didn't buy from them. One more thought... if I was to buy a truck TODAY for $15000 they would have a bunch of mambo jumbo paperwork saying it's valued at $20000. Take that same truck in next week.... they will have more paperwork saying it's now valued at $10000. Funny how that works. They CAN and WILL and DO make the paperwork say whatever they want! Steer clear of Kelly's , the salesmen will make agreements that they can't provide and things change without notice and your stuck with extra cost , for my truck from them three weeks ago and the Second week I had it I had to take it back to have it looked at for transmission issues then they tell me there's nothing wrong with it so I say I'll get another place to look at it they call me the next morning 8:30 AM and say they're going to put it in a shop and have it looked at and the shop says the transmission was bad so they're going to replace it but they use my warranty company and I had to pay a co-pay to them and they made money off of my warranty company for putting a new transmission in And off me and tell me they're taking care of me but send me away with the same bad tires that came on the truck too many hours out of work dealing with this and more money out of my pocket just don't trust it they are notHonest people they just want to sell read more

I put a deposit on used truck, got a call a few hours later they had sold the truck. It might be for the best when they sent me the final number they miscalculated the tax by almost $400 over. The salesperson admitted they got the sticker price for the truck, where I had talked them down $600. Shady stuff over there. The call from the manager stated a communication error, threw some lies around, then told me they would work with me on the price of another (more expensive vehicle.) So, what he suggested was we "Hey, we sold the car you had a deposit on, but spend some more money with us." Also their "Doc Fees" are $11 under the state maximum. Buyer beware of this dealership after the first bump in the road when we bought our first GMC Terrain vehicle which we really liked but wasn't cost effective to buy. so we thought we return and purchase a 2019 GMC Terrain while in the showroom waiting for the salesman can you give us a new monthly price to our disbelief we over her the loan officer tell are salesmen that we are problem people and they don't need our business so my wife and I got up and walked out the door now we know why at 11:30 a.m. this dealership was empty I feel bad for GMC Corporation because I was never late on a payment all maintenance was performed on time I feel I was a good customer. Please believe the negative reviews and save yourself a headache. I spoke with a sales person and negotiated a deal on a new GMC Canyon SLT. When we got down to my trade, they tried to tell me that the buy out price was more than 2000 dollars more than my contract stated because they are a dealer. I contacted my lease officer and was told that the buyout was the same for the dealer and me. I ended up purchasing my truck from Kutztown GMC and they paid off the lease for my original buy out price saving me over 2 thousand dollars. What a scam!
