I attended an orientation when my daughter was entering Jr high in hopes of being accepted, but the wait list for this Jr/high school is a long one and she wasn't accepted. The curriculum and philosophy presented at the orientation was so impressive, made me want to go back to high school all over again! Throughout our time at Tiffany, overall it was a fantastic school. Things I loved: - The principal & staff were always extremely involved on a personal level and knew us by name. - A few times I had concerns and the principal right away welcomed me into her office and gave me all the time I needed to answer any questions until I felt really solid. She is an awesome principal... very logical & fair. - They offer DI. I really wanted my children to do the DI program. My older son had challenges in the program, but the challenges were specific to him. We don't speak Spanish at home & he was resisting learning Spanish. The teachers were very accommodating & provided us with many resources. In the end we decided to pull him out of the program at the end of 3rd grade. My daughter on the other hand was flourishing in the DI program. Every child is so different. - When my son was in Kinder & First grade he had some behavioral issues. They allowed him to see the school counselor and that was so helpful and an amazing resource. - It has a real family friendly vibe. The families are all very much involved. The 6th graders act like kids and dress like kids. It has a nice little neighborhood small tight knit community feel. The only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5: - I felt like my son wasn't doing well in DI since 1st grade & I kept bringing that up to the teachers & principal, however I felt like they kept encouraging me to keep him in and just stick it out although my concern was year after year. - I did not have the best experience with my son's 1st grade teacher. She would say he was "bad" and when I asked her what was bad about his behavior she couldn't give me anything specific except he had high energy, which in my opinion is normal for a 5/6 year old boy. She was a new teacher to the school that year and luckily was transferred to a grade that was more appropriate to what she can handle. I will say though I started volunteering in the class and after that gave her so much grace. The class was really high energy and I wish she was given a TA to help her - My daughter's TK year was really inconsistent. For half the year the teacher was out and it was a bunch of different substitutes. Luckily my daughter is resilient and didn't mind, but I saw a lot of other kids have trouble that year. Overall though I loved this school. The challenges I had were things that were out of the principal and staffs control and I look back and truly know they did the best they could. I would highly recommend this school.

The children there are laughing and playing in the schoolyard in the morning, they greet parents, do running club, or go to the library. The children there are taught character, and a foreign language starting in kindergarten. I'm amazed at my son's progress and the stark difference in his educational environment. Kids are allowed freedom to learn in a fun atmosphere and it shows in their demeanor.

She really cares about her staff and she pretty much knows all the students by name. Academically she is always finding new ways to improve student learning to help benefit them. She is compassionate and you can see she really loves her school. She is always outside ready to help wherever. She is also very approachable. Teachers are caring and supportive. Trust is gone. one time the priest/science teacher said most of the kids are going to end up dying in there parents home. Most teachers here don't care about the students at all -- they hand out demerits like they're Oprah giving away cars. "You get one! You get one!" -- for literally nothing. No support, no guidance, just constant punishment and confusion. This place doesn't feel like a school. It feels like a mess held together by duct tape and prayer (and the prayer ain't working).

The school is welcoming, attentive, and secure, which is a huge deal for us. They also host fun events that bring families and the community together. The staff is friendly and genuinely seems to care about the kids, which is all any parent could ask for. The principal, Mrs. Merghart, is attentive, involved, and clearly invested in the success of the school and its students. We're also a two-mom family, and we have never once felt othered. When we registered with the district, we were in a zone located directly in the middle of two schools. At first thought, we believed the bigger school was the best option for our child. We were pleasantly wrong. Parkview staff has been excellent. I'd like to thank the principal, Ms Valdivia, and teacher Ms. Stanek. You both are amazing. Our family is forever appreciative for you. The front office, the nurse, the teachers, everyone is amazing. Thank you for all you do. This school has a small town feel. Every staff knows every student.
