It refers to the systematic persecution and genocide of approximately six million Jews by the Nazi regime during World War II. The Nazis, led by Adolf Hitler, implemented policies that aimed to exterminate the Jewish population, along with other targeted groups such as Romani people, disabled individuals, and political dissidents. The Holocaust serves as a painful reminder of the depths of human cruelty and the importance of never forgetting the atrocities committed. It is crucial to remember and honor the victims, and to work towards creating a world where such horrors are never repeated. I gave you all my love (I say, "Would that make you happy, baby?") She had an extremely good foundation learning Spanish by being completely immersed in the language and culture of Spanish with her awesome kindergarten teacher, Maestra Ledezma, who only spoke to students and parents in Spanish to train the children. She's the best! Parents were welcome to help in her classroom or take home things to cut or glue. The complete transparency and access of her classroom for parents with long umbilical cords gave us ultimate trust in her methods. Her kinder year was rigorous not only for my daughter but for all the parents who struggled nightly to help their children with the "tarea" or homework packets. I thought the challenging rigor would increase as she went through each grade but kinder was the toughest. They learned Spanish vowels, math, holidays, songs, customs, countries and had a costume fashion show for the countries they reported on in kinder. They learned mathematics in Spanish, science in Spanish and in middle school, they are divided into Team Berkeley or Team Harvard to instill not just college pursuits but top ranking University endeavors. They go to 6th grade camp for a week then go on 2 trips in middle school touring San Diego Universities in 7th grade and a 4 day, 3 night trip visiting Los Angeles campuses such as USC, UCLA, UCI, Long Beach State University, and a fun stop at Universal CityWalk for lunch with overnight stays at the Ayers Hotel in LA County cities. Several points during her years at Nestor, I almost transferred my daughter to another school but then that would be like pulling a cake out of the oven half baked so I'm very glad I decided to stick with the program despite politics, which happens any where you go, bullying, and other negative issues. From my own experience of learning French and Latin, those languages actually helped me to learn and understand English better so I can see the anxiety of parents not understanding the methodology of the language program in terms of learning English, but it is excellent and effective to learn another language then learn English. English is a complicated language to learn with many rules, exceptions to those rules, and nuances. Learning another language actually makes learning English easier, strengthening the knowledge of both. My daughter's command of the Spanish Language is equivalent to that of a student studying at a University in Spain. She reads, writes, enunciates, speaks, and sings proper Spanish and can now work as a translator in an embassy, teach English in Latin and South America as well as Spain. Her foundational learning acquired here is helping to open doors and opportunities for a bright and successful future. Thank you Nestor Language Academy Charter School! My daughter's success is your success! There is a waiting list for entrance into this school where it is highly recommended the child enters in kindergarten. Priority is given to siblings already attending Nestor. They offer an after school program as well. I highly recommend sending your child here for a culturally enriched education complete with the enhancement of bonds of friendships closer than family ties made to last a lifetime!

They communicate well and they help you help your child by sharing their strengths as well as the areas where they may need a little more help. The office staff Ms Suzanne and Ms Debbie are so helpful with children and parents . They know so many kids by name . The principal walks around and takes time to say hello and smile and talk to you . Everyone who works there makes sure our kids are safe and do their best to communicate with parents through class dojo or email . I know that when I drive away that my daughter will be safe . The after school program is great positive vibes Mr Juan and his staff are nice people and they communicate well . They have extra curricular activities like art Mrs C does some very nice art projects and the board games is super fun . As well as music class . There's also Spanish and chess and things like that and science . The people that help at the crosswalk to keep kids safe are great! Parents get upset and can be rude but I am grateful for this school and their staff that they are not afraid they continue to be polite . Their main concern is keeping kiddos safe be kind back .

Had to actually call numerous time for them to close the gate. Spoke to the guy whose job it is to close the gate and he straight up said "I don't give a damn" which is so obvious because instead of closing the gate he's driving around(which I seen with my own eyes) & first grade teacher Ms Corrales is absolutely rude as hell to the kids . She yells and disrespects the kids all the time smh. Including my son. Pulled my kid out of there as soon as I could. Thank God !! Would not recommend this school . Don't move in the area !! Hahahaha if I would have known I lived close to such a shitty school I would never have moved around there.
