I had a one-hour treatment with Tiffany, and let me tell you - her knowledge and skill could have presented her from any cosmopolitan city - San Fran, NY, LA, etc. (but not Boston: sorry, but i had two different experiences in Boston that definitely was not at that level). I gave specific areas to be worked on, and she knew exactly what to do, and then some! I loved that she wanted to know exactly what I wanted - more of a general body massage? or more time on a specific area? - the latter of which is what I needed (iliopsoas/iT band,etc). She really went in there, slowly and carefully, and yes, DEEPLY and THOROUGHLY. She made sure I knew what was going on, and during the whole time was very pleasant to chat with, as well as making my session informative. I'd definitely recommend this place to anyone. I also want to make note that Tiffany told me she was the youngest person (by experience there), and that only let me know how solid and serious the spa represents itself. I believe it has been around for over 10 years, and I guess their word-of-mouth is so entrusted as it even can be difficult to find a time slot to come in. Upon learning of the incident, the owner called and issued a sincere apology for the experience (I'd explained how I'd try to call back and resolve the issue directly over the following few days, but hadn't heard back - at no fault to the owner, Heidi - as she hadn't been aware of my attempt to contact). Though I didn't end up going through with my appointment that day and had booked with someone else at another spa, from what the other reviews have said, this seems like an otherwise lovely establishment with professional and courteous staff who - I was assured - DO practice recommended safety guidelines, including masking. I was not compensated in any way to edit this - I just didn't believe that my original review should reflect on the owner or the business as a whole and think it's important to differentiate between a singular, one-off experience and their overall business practices. Hopefully the most important message going forward is that people DO care a tremendous deal about safe practices such as masking - because it, in the end, is going to be the only thing that allows us to return to some semblance of normalcy.
