This place was hard to find, but after a long day of being outside I found it to be pleasant and enjoyable. The waitress was friendly and the food was very good, their steaks are well marinated without being too salty and the sides were very filling. I would recommend this restaurant for traveling couples, families, and those staying in town for business conferences. May be on the formal side so dress nicely, and it is a quiet atmosphere so probably not well suited for birthday parties with lots of kids. Great hidden gem in the back of a quiet casino that I'll be sure to check out again if I'm ever in the mood for some fine dining. The rest of the casino is really nice too! read more

Waitress brought our bill to us and I just handed her the CC - we paid for another table's food and I didn't realize it until she brought the receipt over for me to pay. The server's are not probably trained nor the management. We went there for our anniversary dinner a few weeks ago, we both informed our server about my high allergy issues with all nuts. Dinner went well but when it came time for dessert my wife and I decided to get the cheesecake, it turned out to have a crust made with macadamia nuts. It was not labeled this way on the menu. My wife had to go ask someone about this because our server then never returned. We asked someone else for the manager who when he finally came over only took a couple dollars off our bill and said it was not there fault. I was extremely I'll for the rest of the night. We tried reaching out to the operations manager a few days later but they never responded to me. Anyone with allergy issues needs to avoid this place. They don't seem to care read more

Overall 2 stars. My drink was not very good at all (definitely well alcohol but at top shelf prices). Partner liked his drink. Ordered Portobello fries as I have always loved the ones at Ambros, back in Iowa. However, 3 of them were undercooked (I had bitten one & found out, the partner did the same, then the last one I cut up & knew better). I did tell the waiter & he apologized. Staff that seated us was very friendly & talkative. Waiter was the same & very personable. Definitely no issues with staff that we interacted with. All friendly & attentive. Table was super sticky. Actually all the tables in the area we were in, were sticky & should have had a table cloth or paper on them. Definitely need to improve on the quality of food at those prices. Very disappointed in my comped meal. The only reason not one star is the comped was easy to get. I got $100 comp for myself. However not till midway through the meal did I get an answer if I had to spend it all at this meal or able to sit it up (finally told $50 tonight & $50 tomorrow). Ordered French onion soup and T-bone steak with side salad and garlic mashed potatoes. I would think a "fancy", steakhouse would understand food timing. Apparently I was expecting too much. My soup came out right away piping hot. It took me some time to eat it since it was so hot. The salad was brought out when I was about half done with my soup. Not the worst considering my entree was delivered with the salad. The waitress (Lee) noticed my empty water glass and offered to fill it. However after several trips back and forth in the dining room/kitchen I had to remind her I needed water. Nothing horrendous but definitely not to the standard of a steakhouse. Food was good but not remarkable. Steak cooked to perfect temperature but little taste. Definitely nothing too salty as I read in another review. It was just two weeks ago since we tried to have a special meal. Let me start with the good part. The entrees were absolutely delish! I had a filet and my husband had the ribs/coconut shrimp. Kudos to the chef. The issue for me was that we were there celebrating a special anniversary. Our waitress came by and took our drink order and left. She didn't come back for quite awhile. Then a waiter stopped by and asked if we were helped. Of course, I said yes. The waiter, Ryan, then came back again and asked to take the drink order and said he would be right back with it. And he was! So what happened to our waitress? I found out she just left us and went home. I know she has worked there a long time. But she didn't feel the restaurant was busy enough and left us without a word. I felt pretty insulted. She should have done a handoff. The bartender may have been new as the drinks were not good. My old fashioned was warm and didn't taste good. My husband's vodka gimlet was served in a tall glass (like a water glass)That was a first. Hmm. Sure didn't taste like a gimlet. Well, we did get a single tiny piece of cheesecake with no Happy Anniversary words or anything. But it was gratis. Thank goodness Ryan was there to take our orders and bring the plates out quickly. We were staying at the Isle of Capri for a meeting and didn't much feel like loading up to go out to eat so we figured that we would give Keller's a try despite the current three star rating. That turned out to be a great decision. The service was polite, professional, and prompt. The food (wedge salad with ribeye) was excellent. Now it isn't "Ruths Chris" good but it was very respectable, and it isn't priced like RCs either! I wouldn't hesitate to take a date or a business associate here. Did we just get lucky? Perhaps but a win is a win and a great ribeye is always a welcome find. The prices were well in line with the quality. I would not hesitate to try Keller's again the next time that I find myself at Isle of Capri. read more

Had some problems here..... For some reason I was seated at a table in a far back corner. A long, long way from the entrance. Not sure why. I was dressed appropriately and didn't look like a bum or anything.....and I don't stink. And there numerous tables available, that was for sure....Wednesday night. One problem with being seated such as this, you may become forgotten about. Such was my case, or at least part of the problem. I was seated, she took my order within about 5 minutes. A couple of minutes later I was brought my glass of wine and a plate with 2 pieces of bread on it. One piece, however not bad, is like Aunt's whomever you'll find in the freezer section at the store, but it's not bad. The other piece of bread was some raisin bread.....no thanks Then I sat and I waited, and I waited, and then I waited some more. Keep in mind they were not busy. After about 35 minutes I saw a lady and a plate headed out of the kitchen area. Not my waitress, seemed more like a manager. She sat down the entre plate and she said did you have something else coming? And right on her heels was my waitress and my salad. That didn't work so well. The manager apologized for the bad timing. I told her no problem. At that point it is what it is. I don't know if this caused the kitchen to hold back my filet mignon because they knew my salad hadn't been served yet or not, but I ended up with one serious tough chunk of beef. It may or may not have. All I know is I ordered the filet Medium and it was brought out basically well done. At that point it's impossible to know if the beef was that tough to begin with or the overcooking caused it. No way of knowing. Or in this case it may have been keeping it warm too long and it over-cooked that way. I probably would not order a filet next time. For one reason at $35 that's a lot to just throw away. There wasn't much at all of it that was edible. It was that tough. A real bummer. I'll try it again and with my wife. Proceed with caution I guess read more

Last night we ate at Keller's inside the isle Casino. The restaurant is nice although tucked way in the back so you have to search for it. Decor is nice. Restaurant with a bar in the front. Beers, wine, and full bar; although I found the price point on the wine to be fairly high. They offered three seasonal craft local beers on draft; I tried the "bent river, Mississippi blonde". The beer was not bad light and not too hoppy. We started with portobello fries. The crust was amazing, not too heavy, light and crunchy, no sog. And, yes, as the name implies it's slices of mushroom deep fried and served with a garlic Parmesan sauce. I could have taken the sauce home with me, it was so good. For the main course, Michael had a truffle Gouda burger. An hamburger with truffle sauce,sliced mushrooms, and truffle infused Gouda cheese. Sounds fancy, eh? The bun resembled a King's Hawaiian bun so that was interesting. Found the burger to have great representation and a decent taste but very sweet, I think due to the sauce. I'd get the sauce on the side. And did you SEE that pickle. Lol. Amazing. The sweet potato fries were a little soggy. I tried the portobello burger. And while I wasn't unhappy with it, it was not at all as described either on the menu or the server. It was more like a chopped steak with some mushrooms and peppers on an open face sandwich. I was really ready to eat a burger. The server described it as chopped meat together with the mushrooms so I guess I just assumed. I mean that's why I got it. Just not sure why it's described as a portobello "burger". My side was a Broccolini wrapped in prosciutto. Very good. I wish there had been a little more of it tho. The veggie was cooked perfectly, not too limp. The meat was a little thicker than I'm used to prosciutto being and almost resembled and tasted more like ham. All in all for the app, beer, and two entrees the price was right under $50. Not too bad for the casino; however, if you are looking to eat any type of entree instead of a burger, it will be upwards of $25 or more per plate. They were BUSY. They got slammed. The supervisor was working his butt off, hustling plates from the kitchen to the patrons. He brought my steak, and I was delighted with it....just as I ordered it. And the wild rice was hot and flavorful. The bad news was the bar service. He might have still been learning. He has a lot to learn. I'm surprised by such low ratings.. My boyfriend and I stayed at Isle of Capri and ate here for dinner. Our server was really nice & informative. I had the salmon and my boyfriend had the steak. Both meals were very tasty! Our alcoholic beverages were decent. Service was just a bit slow, but the restaurant was pretty busy. Prices are average, not really "grill" cheeseburger prices, but more of a nicer restaurant price. Modern decor, spacious The location of Keller's / our walk was a bit unexpected because it was at the end of the banquet hall rooms, but we walked through the casino after leaving which cut the walk back to our hotel room in half. Would recommend for drinks and apps. Host was very friendly! Server was very nice and prompt. Apps were great! Best spin dip we've had. Take note: everything seemed to have a tremendous amount of salt. Prices were good. Main entree left a lot to be desired. Pork chops looked as though they were pre cooked (maybe smoked?) then cooked again to warm them. Very hard to cut through, and dried out. Basically not edible unless you like over cooked meat. Plate brought out with a puddle of juice, likely from the vegetable side and half of a sautéed onion. This made the mashed potatoes more like potato soup...very odd plating to have everything "swimming " in juice/broth. I hate to even comment on the vegetarian options: noodles with lemon butter, or grilled cheese. Ok grilled cheese, can't go wrong with that...wrong! Grilled cheese was made on a huge seemingly stale hamburger bun, and not edible. The fries had what seemed to be half a shaker of salt on them. Again, apps were very good, and service was good, but I cannot recommend eating a full meal here. read more

I really wanted to like this place. Stopped here on a road trip, hoping to find the happening part of town. I did not. It is located in the back of a casino hotel, but my GPS took me to the wrong side of the parking lot. Valet is closed and i ended up with a long walk to restaurant. I asked if they had good cocktails and the server said yes. Long story, short on the cocktails: my "up" Manhattan showed up with ice and the server said it was "up". Food was not great, but i ate it. Steak was tender / overcooked, but chewy like it was sous vide'd too long and not properly seared. I ordered medium rare and most of the steak was well to medium well with barely any pink. It looks like a place that many locals come to for a special occasion, so the big parties get attention and make the general service slow. I will not be back. I hope they step up their cocktail game and embrace the steakhouse persona and serve better steak. The one star reviews are not fair. I would have given it 2.5 if yelp allowed half stars. read more

What a wonderful place to have dinner. Very neat and clean and all staff follow Covid protocol. For our appetizers we had the artichoke dip and chips and an order of the coconut shrimp. I came here with my husband and two friends for my birthday. We were staying in the hotel and wanted to stay close. We made a late reservation, but we were a little tardy getting to it. We called ahead and let them know and they told us to hurry but that'd they wait. When we got there we were given such friendly service! Our waitress was so kind and understanding to our apologies for being late! They didn't hurry us out or scowl at us for being there near close, they just focused on making my birthday night enjoyable and it truly was. We left full, happy, tipsy and renewed after what was a long day leading up to. The food was delicious and the drinks were strong and sweet- just how we ordered them! Nice looking restaurant, but difficult to find inside the hotel. The stench of cigarette smoke from the Iowa casino was a huge turn-off while dining. Server was a nice guy. The prices are absurd for the food, which was completely tasteless...except for the mashed potatoes which seemed to have had all of the salt in the kitchen spilled in them. The quality of the food has declined tremendously in the past year since I visited last. I initially ordered the ribs as they came highly recommended. They arrived tinder but had no flavor as if they were boiled or steamed. I then ordered the Ribeye steak medium well with a loaded baked potato. The steak overcooked, no flavor and the potatoe appeared to be reheated with fresh sour cream. I was completely disappointed and left hungry. The waitress was nice. We came to Keller's for dinner on New Years Eve and we were disappointed from beginning to end. We waited a long time for everything. Our appetizers were delivered prior to even getting our drinks from the bar. My husband ordered a Bloody Mary and was served a glass of plain tomato juice. The meals were served cold and my dad ordered a filet medium and it was served well done. They offered to make him a new one and that took forever as well and when the new meal was brought it was only the steak without any of the sides he had ordered. I had a great experience at Keller's American Grill last night. I went with a party of 10 and we all loved our meals. We got more than enough food. We felt like we were dining in a fancy restaurant but it was casual. Taylor was our server and she did a fantastic job. My filet was cooked perfectly and I tried the fried strawberries under Taylor's advice and was not disappointed. Honestly, I saw some of the bad reviews and I was skeptical but fortunately my party had a great experience. I will definitely dine here again. read more

I celebrated my sisters birthday December 21 with three others at keller. We ordered mushroom appetizer with great dipping sauce.The mushrooms were very good to dip. We ordered one thick tasty cheeseburger bowl of corn chowder soup very tasty also. I ordered lobster cannelloni it was very good too with kale and pearl onions. Now comes a $34 new York steak ordered medium rare came out black charred and tasted like it worst steak my fiancé has ever eaten. My sister ordered walleye which was very dry overcooked. My fiancé ate half her steak took the rest home to dogs. We had ate earlier in week at Tappas was 100 times better. The week before at Harlans walleye for $9 much better. We absolutely loved Faradays and were sad to see it close. I was looking forward to trying the new Kellers this evening with my husband. The new remodel design looks fantastic. As politely as I can say it.... Everything else was a let down. I have no problem spending $75-100 on 2 meals if it means we have a fine dining experience ...as was the case when this restaurant was Faradays. But now I feel we are paying the same for half the experience. They don't bring bread prior to the meal, so make sure to order a salad or an appetizer. Your ice water will have no ice. And your mixed drinks will seem watered down. I had ordered the 6 oz filet mignon medium rare. It was over-cooked and warm to the touch... if that. My husband ordered baby back ribs and they were over seasoned and similar quality to something you'd find at the Golden Corral. Overall this was a disappointing dining experience.
