Do not use this firm. I have had two bad experiences with them. Carol Lochiatto sold my house and was at best, high maintenance and condescending. Refused to answer factual questions directly. Recently hired Tom Tsui to do a rental, who is clearly greedy and incompetent, which seems to be the trend with this firm. Their realtors are LIARS and do completely unethical things- like Tom Tsui, who handled a rental for me. He told me he was going to give the keys to the renter before a lease was signed and before I'd received any money towards first/last/deposit. I told him that giving a renter keys without anything in hand wasn't ok, he was angry at me. He was annoyed that he'd have to meet with them again. He then continued to terrorize both myself and the renters with endless emails, completely incorrect versions of the lease, and liked to waste my time with pointless phone calls. His incompetence was off the charts- I asked him to verify the renters employment/income and he told me he'd looked online. I had to tell him over ten times, "Call a human who hired the renter" . . . . DO NOT GO WITH TOM TSUI unless you want a completely incompetent liar who wastes your time. I tried calling to complain and I can't even get anyone on the phone. I am truly sorry I wasted my time with them. They claim to care but they don't. read more

This was my first experience working with a realtor and they seem to live up to the stereotypes. Everything was on their schedule, regardless of the fact that I was driving through boston every time. I got phone calls and texts as late as 11 pm on friday night asking me to drive 3 hours to drop off the check (their cut), when I would be driving there in the AM anyway. When I told them I would get it to them in the morning or they could come pick it up from me, they threatened that they didn't want to lease to someone who was only going to cause problems. I reminded them I was paying them, and I shouldn't have to make that drive unnecessarily. They eventually decided I was right, and then were late to meet me at their office, and met me with attitude. I have had a relationship with this broker for years. Renting my apartments in South Boston the agent I worked very hard performing her due diligence. Keller Williams claims to check background, work history, and credit report of perspective tenants. Based on this information I have pasted on some tenants in the past for more solid applicants. This time did not work out that way. The unit was in the south shore so the agent I normally work with did not cover that area and I was assigned Derek McCarthy. He quickly began showing the unit and found a family. He told me he has run their credit and background. He said they were living in the same place for 10 years and only needed to move because the building was being sold. They had great credit and references. So we signed a lease....another great job done by Keller Williams....so I thought. The first month they moved in they prepaid the rent....and that was the last time they were on time. I spend 6 months chasing them until I had enough and started the eviction process. The tenant had moved they're adult children in and they would need to be named on the 14 day notice to quit. I didn't know they names so the constable ran a cursory background check. What he found was that they had been evicted 5 times in 4 years!!! I called the broker and his response was that they lied on the application. I asked if he ran a back ground and Credit check and he said no. I asked what he had done and he said he called the phone number of their last landlord... that's all. I told the agent Derek McCarthy that I wanted to speak with the broker that owns his office. However in stead he called the tenants to let them know that I had started the Eviction process.....strange and grossly inappropriate. To date this whole process will cost me $5-$7000 in lost rent and expenses. I feel that had Keller Williams and their agent done as they promised me I would have passed on the tenant (as I have done in the past) only have lost one months rent. That's my experience. FYI the broker finally did call me. He told me that Derek admitted he did none of the thinks Keller Williams promises to do. Represented by his agents and their own web site. Originally, I had reached out to Cara Loosen through an apartment rental posted on Trulia. On our very first phone conversation, along with asking me about what I was looking for in an apartment, she asked me very specific information about me and my husband's finances, including what my husband's salary is. I was thrown off by this since I know a few people in real estate and I know this information is only disclosed during the application process. However, during a subsequent conversation after I had looked at some options that she had sent over, I had the most jaw-dropping, rude, offensive conversation with a real estate professional I've ever had. I mentioned that I was interested in doing an 8 month lease since I have to relocate at the end of the year. Her tone became incredibly condescending, her saying that I must not know what I want, saying in an extremely rude tone "you didn't even look at the google maps location of the places I sent you?" (Verbatim) and then offensively saying that she only deals with high-end clientele (despite her marketing plenty of cheap studios and one beds). My good friend who is also a real estate agent was with me at the moment and joined in to say that what is most crucial for me is the flexibility of the lease term and she says "well why don't you have your friend find you an apartment since she knows more about real estate than I do." (My friend does not practice real estate in Quincy, she does in Boston). Honestly, the way she spoke to me left me at a loss for words, and after me realizing that this was probably not somebody I wanted to work with, I very kindly thanked her for her time and as I was about to say that it was likely it wouldn't work out due to our inherent disagreements she hung up on me. SHE HUNG UP ON ME. A real estate professional who is supposed to deal with high end clientele hung up on me. I could not believe it. She then texted me saying "I hope your friend finds you a great rental - clearly they know more than a real estate agent". We could not believe it. Unfortunately the apartments she sent over seemed like good choices but the thought of spending a day with somebody who can treat customers in such an offensive way is not worth whatever property she may be able to offer. I hope Keller Williams considers the charisma and genuine personality more thoroughly from now on when hiring licensed real estate professionals. read more

When we first met Erin we wanted her more than anyone to sell our home. At the beginning everything was fine, but as time went on we became very leery of mistakes and problems. Now, a true experienced seller in my area, and I have spoken to some of them, have all said the first thing you do is a title 5 on your septic before listing your home. Erin should have known this but didn't. We had to replace our system for 15 grand at the very end of the sale, thus we lost that 15k that we could have built into the price of the house as an upgrade. Erin virtually promised us a bidding war on our home and we would get more than asking price. This wasn't even close to true. We were told by Erin she was a tough negotiator, when the one offer came in on our home we found ourselves dropping 9 thousand off the price for no reason at all, not exactly tough negotiating. When we received our purchase and sales the amount was much lower, the amount was flat out wrong. Thank god we noticed it and asked before we signed it, or we would have been locked in on the lower price. Erin assured me "I never would have let you sign that". This is false, she already sent me the incorrect paperwork to sign, it would have been too late. In December we gave her our paperwork to transfer ownership of the solar panels on our house. This was done by email on Dec 30th, we closed in mid January, it is now mid February, earlier today I got another email and phone call from the solar company saying that the paperwork was never signed and sent over. My wife and I are now responsible for the cost of the solar agreement for another month because of her mistake.!! And as of this writing I have emailed her several times looking for information, and I have not received that information even though she has emailed and spoken with the solar company. Meaning she is near her email, her phone etc and has ignored my multiple requests for information. There is one bit of good news. My wife and I had already moved out of state when the septic problem had arrived. Erin handled this process for us while we were not there. She made some visits over to the house etc that we couldn't do. In this respect she helped us, but it is not enough to cover up all the mistakes and disappointments. I am not blaming the broken septic system on her, but an agent in this area should know to have it checked before listing it. Also, we were several weeks into the process of listing the house when I mentioned the title 5 to her, the response was not good "you have a septic system,?". She didn't even ask us? Or didn't even remember when we told her about the house. Not good. Also, to add to this problem, I have spent days trying to contact a regional person at Keller Williams, they are nothing short of ghosts. They have names, they supposedly exist, but trying calling them or emailing them and see if you hear anything back. Better yet, if you really want to have some fun, try negotiating the phone system that exists when calling the Braintree office.!! I have spoken to the corporate office of Keller Williams in Texas, they enjoyed taunting me (the legal person K. McWilliams at that office) to make me even madder than I already am. I wouldn't hire Keller Williams, that is for sure. After finally getting a call back from Kristin B at Keller Williams, I expressed my concerns and complaints about my KW agent. Kristin basically said that the agents that work for KW can work for anyone and that there is nothing she can do. She did however look into my concerns with the agent I was unhappy with. Then took the agent's word over mine and my wife. So there you have it, one minute KW says they are not responsible. But I bet if I called with compliments KW would be all over it "yeah, we are the best, glad you happy etc". Halfway through the process of selling the house there was a huge mistake made by my agent, my wife said to me "we need a new agent", I didn't listen, I said to my wife that we would move on and let KW know afterwards. Boy was I wrong, my wife nailed it, we needed a new agent. Stay away from Keller Williams is my advice and my opinion. read more

Matt Mauro of KW was great to work with. He has an incredibly positive attitude and friendly demeanor that made buying our first home fun. He never made us feel pressured in any way, and was always available to take us to showings or answer any questions we had. He encouraged us to take a look at a house that was at the high end of our price range just to get a feel for the market, and the sellers ended up reducing the price. It all worked out perfectly because in the end we got the house of our dreams, and we might not even have looked at it if it weren't for Matt! I could not recommend him more highly. read more

If you are looking for a gung-ho Realtor you need to call Keller Williams and ask for Tina Zaronias. My husband and I had been thinking about putting our house on the market and had met a number of Realtors who said they wanted to have our listing but never followed through...not only did Tina follow up with an email and a phone call but when she did she already had information about our neighborhood and the comparables.. When we signed with her she did everything possible to get us out of our house and into a new house of our dreams. Tina was available by phone and email and checked in with us daily. When we did get a buyer and needed to fix a few things for the close, she had her husband (contractor) come over and take care of them for us...when we needed to find people to do work in our new house she also had the names and numbers of great people. Tina has not only been a great Realtor but has become a good friend. I would highly recommend her to anyone looking to buy or sell. read more

This is probably one of the most disorganized and unprofessional realty offices out there. When working with the trapp team just a month ago to rent our apartment everything was through email and was very poorly explained. We had to continually ask questions for information that is usually provided to you like where to drop off your checks etc. Next Ashley Trapp said I could receive my keys on Wednesday and when my uncle went to go retrieve them the realtor office ( after the fact my uncle had to wait 5 minuets because no one was there during their open hours) said they had never heard of me and had no keys. After calling the realtor office (4 times with no answer) and Ashley with no answer at all, I finally get ahold of them and had to wait for them to track down Ashley and find my keys that should have been there in the first place (as I had confirmed with Ashley days before) taking up the better part of my day. Ashley clearly never informed the secretary and all in all the experience was incredibly frustrating. I would not use this if I had the choice. read more
