The decor set the expectation of my experience and they did not disappoint!. There were 8 in our party and we ordered from the holiday drink menu, designed like a Christmas Card which is a genius idea. We tried 8 of their drinks and passed them around to taste. ALL were well balanced so hats off to the bartenders as the place was packed and it would have been easy to let your standards slip when you are as busy as they were. Although the place was packed our service was great. I can't wait to return and try their food menu. If it is anything like their attention to detail, I am so excited to return and I fully expect to post a great review. What a great evening with friends and a great kick off of the holidays. Just a quick note on pricing: This is not a chain restaurant so don't expect chain restaurant prices. My opinion is it is deserved price point when you consider the standards they set. Even in the middle of summer it feels ten degrees cooler once you walk in under them. There is old-school playground equipment here, the kind most parks replaced years ago. I doubt it gets much use. Nice to see a little window of how things were back in time. Picnic benches are scattered through the trees, so you can eat something you brought along instead of sitting in the car. The whole area is well manicured and groomed. Somebody is clearly still taking care of the place, which you do not always see at a stop like this. It makes for a genuinely peaceful break on a longer drive. The bathrooms are indoors, so even with snow on the ground you can use the facilities without freezing. They were clean when I stopped. There are vending machines in the back too, which came in handy for a quick snack before getting back on the road. If you are driving through, this one is worth pulling off for instead of pushing on to the next exit.
