If she ever would have treated anyone disrespectfully, I would have stopped working with her as that would have affected my own professional reputation. I HIGHLY recommend Alicia Schuette Photography for any photo needs you have.

Their service was limited to drinks and a featured appetizer. The ambiance was stunning! Hats off to the designer of the Christmas decorations. The decor set the expectation of my experience and they did not disappoint!. There were 8 in our party and we ordered from the holiday drink menu, designed like a Christmas Card which is a genius idea. We tried 8 of their drinks and passed them around to taste. ALL were well balanced so hats off to the bartenders as the place was packed and it would have been easy to let your standards slip when you are as busy as they were. Although the place was packed our service was great. I can't wait to return and try their food menu. If it is anything like their attention to detail, I am so excited to return and I fully expect to post a great review. What a great evening with friends and a great kick off of the holidays. Just a quick note on pricing: This is not a chain restaurant so don't expect chain restaurant prices. My opinion is it is deserved price point when you consider the standards they set. It's a perfect place for date night, entertaining a client or a girls evening out.

Our grown children with their own families (our grandkids) rent spots during holidays and love coming back. The park is very clean. The crew cleans up after a storm the moment it is safe. The new owners (they took over 5 years ago) are very attentive to our needs such as firewood, propane, etc. You always see them riding around the park waving and stopping to chat with campers. There is 3 playgrounds, a mini golf course, outdoor pool, game room with snacks and arcade games for the kids. We love this place! Such friendly folks throughout the resort. #Will.is.a.saint! Fast forward to 2019 when we were looking for a place on Carlyle Lake. Someone mentioned Hickory Shores and we immediately said no thanks. But we drove by and saw big changes. A gate had been installed and we were lucky enough to meet the new owner. She took us on a tour of the campground and by the end of the visit, we were begging to put our camper there. We are now in our fourth year of annual lease at Hickory Shores and now it's a place that EVERYONE is trying to get into. The troublemakers were moved out when the new owners came in and it's more like a family now. The pool is great, the campground get-togethers are so much fun, and we enjoy every minute we spend here.

The trees have to be at least 40 years old, and they have grown in thick enough that the ground stays in shade pretty much all day. Even in the middle of summer it feels ten degrees cooler once you walk in under them. There is old-school playground equipment here, the kind most parks replaced years ago. I doubt it gets much use. Nice to see a little window of how things were back in time. Picnic benches are scattered through the trees, so you can eat something you brought along instead of sitting in the car. The whole area is well manicured and groomed. Somebody is clearly still taking care of the place, which you do not always see at a stop like this. It makes for a genuinely peaceful break on a longer drive. The bathrooms are indoors, so even with snow on the ground you can use the facilities without freezing. They were clean when I stopped. There are vending machines in the back too, which came in handy for a quick snack before getting back on the road.
