Flame grilled chicken places have become more popular lately and this is definitely one of the…read morebest. I've been going to El Jannah at Granville for years and have also been to Inflames at Castle Hill and I have to say that Sultans Grill is better than them both! The food is essentially the same. The same great tasting flame grilled chook, the same pickles, awesome garlic sauce, etc. But thats where the similarities end. Unlike El Jannah you can actually get a parking spot here. Its directly across the road from the Bull n Bush hotel and there is heaps of parking both on the street out the front and behind the restaurant. Unlike El Jannah you don't have to queue forever and you can also actually get a seat as well. I don't know how long that will all last but for now its awesome. They do a chicken wrap with chips and a can of drink for a little over ten bucks and you can get it eat in or take away. There's a large indoor dining area with a big screen tv on the wall and also quite a few tables and chairs out on the street as well. They have a huge range of other things on the menu but I can't really comment about them as I'm just a massive fan of their chicken wraps and chips with heaps of extra garlic sauce. If you like El Jannah or Inflames then try Sultans Grill. You can probably park, order, eat and be out of there in the same time it'd take you to find parking at one of the other charcoal chicken shops!

These guys are awesome... I was visiting my sister in Sydney Australia, all the way from Phoenix…read moreArizona, and have heated of these guys but never seen them, so they were in Lidcomb (I think) one weekend in June (freezing cold) and we went and saw them. They know how to put up a show. Lines were long and it was worth it. We get out order in and the guys are nice, friendly, with a huge smile and huge beards (just like me). They sing and dance and and bake our favorite middle eastern desert "knafeh". Now the food....I've never had Jerusalem style Knafeh, I've had of course the Armenian style called (ghadayef) also the Egyptian style which is called (basboosa) and the Jordanian and Lebanese style. I know some may say they're different but in many ways (to me) the idea is the same. This type of knafeh I had was a very good knafeh, for a food truck baking it fast, but it wasn't the best. Still we went back the next day, we got some more and their tea that they prepare omg is so good. Go for the dance, the atmosphere, the fun times, and also the knafeh. It's really good. Can't wait to come back to Sydney and Experience them again. May be they should come to Phoenix. #TheBeardedArmenian

Can we all agree that it's an outdoor family club that serves delicious dessert!?…read more I came here on a Saturday night, and holy what a scene! It was packed with people waiting in line, eating and simply there enjoying the music and entertainment. These long bearded men know how to throw a party. The music was loud, all the workers were dancing as well as the crowd that was around. This place attracted people from all ages with different diversities and backgrounds. It was something very different from what I've ever experienced, especially when there's only 3 things on the menu! 1 that's actually edible - their knafeh. The knafeh ...where do I begin. That sweeeet sweet cheese dessert!! It was almost like a more textured, creamier but lighter version of a creme brulee. It's a little sugar heavy so I would recommend sharing it with another person unless you have a major sweet tooth then you'll easily demolish this. It was simple and delicious - and to only have that on the menu they are definitely doing something right. If you haven't tried it - definitely go before they move to a different location! It's $8 you will not regret.

We have never been so thankful for a blocked sewer. Let me explain...we were going to a show at…read morethe Seymour Centre and were going to grab a bite to eat at a little hole in the wall place on City Road. But the sewers were blocked and had huge crews of people working on them. The smell was...interesting and not conducive to dining, so we retreated round the corner onto Glebe Point Road and found this place. We were in a hurry so didn't have time for a full meal but what we had was fantastic. Beautiful spicy sausages. Baked kibbeh. A sort of lamb ravioli with rice and an amazing goat yoghurt sauce. They had some beautiful looking desserts as well but we didn't have time. They also had a huge range of home made traditional pickles that I am dying to try. We will definitely have to go back for a more leisurely meal when we aren't rushing to be somewhere else.

I have come here three times now and have tried almost everything on the menu. The best dishes, in…read moremy opinion, are: DIPS - hoummos with lamb and pine nuts; yoghurt with cucumber (tzatziki) SALADS - fatoush; tabouli MAINS - lamb mansaf; shishbarak; chicken shawarma; samkeh-harra SIDES - potato coriander; falafel; kebeh (baked or fried) If you come in a large group, I'd recommend ordering a la carte rather than any of the banquets. A la carte will get you more food for the same amount of money, with a better variety of dishes. Service here is generally quite friendly, although the last time I came there was a minor hiccup with our bill. When I went to the front counter to pay, I pointed out to the owner that one of the dishes we'd ordered hadn't been served to us, and I requested that he remove it from the bill. He checked my story with our waitress, who insisted (rather aggressively, I thought) that she had brought the dish out. After the waitress was out of earshot, the owner told me he was 'in an uncomfortable situation' because the waitress (note: I call her a waitress because she served us our food, but she could have been a manager or co-owner) had 'been working at the restaurant for 20 years' and 'wouldn't lie'. I maintained that I wasn't lying either. To his credit, he accepted my story and removed the item from our bill.
