I want to start this off by saying they have been great folks to work with over the years. I spent…read morea lot of money and worked with them almost exclusviely with both of my families cars. But my last exerience was one that I cannot help but be infuratied by. I had an issue where my 2012 Highlander AC went out in July and it was $2700.00 to fix. So I agreed and they did the work. When I took the car in the heater worked fine and prior to the AC going out the temperature control worked without any issues. They "fixed" the AC and it blew ice cold which was great for July. I noticed immediately that you couldn't regulate the temperature at all but life was busy and in hindsight I should have turned right around and took it back in. Fast forward two months when I had a blowout, I took it back in and alerted them to the issue's (no temp control and heater is out). They mulled it over and said it was a completely different issue and wanted another $2700. If they had test run the system after "fixing" the AC, they would have noticed something was off. Or maybe they did and just pushed it out anyways? They claim to warrenty their work but that didn't hold up here either. No attempt whatsoever to meet me in the middle. Nothing except a "sorry, completely different issue so another $2700.00". Not a good look Rob'e Man's.

I've been taking my vehicles to Panos for a couple years now. They've always done great work for me…read morebut I'd like to share about a recent experience where they truly went above and beyond for us. We have had car trouble with a vehicle we recently purchased over the last few months. The defect in the car is not currently covered by warranty. There is currently a lawsuit against the manufacturer for the defect, but we've had to bear the expense for now and hope ours doesn't have the issue outlined in the suit or be accepted as one of the many plaintiffs on the case. Tim and the rest of the Panos team have been super kind to us, helped us borrow a loaner vehicle to keep our small business running when we desperately needed it, and been more than fair in their dealings with us in a way that I don't many other mechanic shops would... certainly not dealerships nor the majority of larger shops! This group is truly honest, fair and exceptional in what they do! I can't recommend them enough to anyone seeking great service with a business they can trust.

I came in needing a wheel bearing replaced, as well as front brakes and rotors. I was quoted a…read morereasonable price compared to the place I usually take my car for maintenance. I was told that it was not my wheel bearing, but my transmission that was making the noise. I went ahead and had the front brakes and rotors replaced. I then took my 2019 Camry to a transmission place, and of course, they said my transmission was perfectly fine, that it was my wheel bearing. So after have three different people/places (including my boyfriend, who has a master C license) tell me that I needed my wheel bearing replaced, not only time was wasted, but an extra $125 to have someone look at my perfectly good transmission, was also wasted. I will NEVER take my car to them ever again.

This review is for the location at 7136 Cahaba Valley Rd, Birmingham, AL 35242…read more I am deeply concerned by this business's complete disregard for basic customer privacy. After a family member left an honest, critical 1-star review regarding a pricing dispute at the counter, the owner retaliated by using their internal customer database to publicly post our family's last name, our exact vehicle year/make/model, and our vehicle's mileage. Exposing proprietary data online to punish a customer for an unfavorable rating directly violates Google's Maps User Content Policies against personal data disclosure. Furthermore, while the corporate Mr. Transmission Privacy Policy notes that individual locations handle local transactions, corporate explicitly states they can penalize franchisees who engage in "inappropriate online conduct". Forcing a customer to choose between protecting their personal information and leaving honest feedback is highly unprofessional. Consumers should be warned: if you bring your car here and choose to share your experience online, management may expose your private information to the public to save face.
