I went in hoping to shop for glasses and arrived at 4:04 pm. The office closes at 4:45 pm. When I walked in, I wasn't greeted as usual and instead felt dismissed. When I was finally helped, the receptionist, immediately told me that I could no longer place an order and that I should have arrived by 4:00 pm to do so. I work until 4:00 pm and came as quickly as I could. I had never been informed of this policy before, and the way it was communicated felt very rude. I would have been much more understanding if the situation had been explained politely and if I had at least been invited to browse frames for a future purchase. Instead, I had to ask if I could at least look around, and I was told that no one could help me but that I could look if I wanted. The interaction made me feel like I was inconveniencing her, so I ultimately chose to leave. This experience was very upsetting because I have always had positive experiences at this office. The office is clean and immediately upon entry, you can see the variety of frames they have to offer. They have a great selection of Ray-bans available to choose from as well as Maui Jim, ANSI, and many other brands. The office also carries some brands for younger patients that may need vision correction. BEC's appt scheduling system is fully online and they also offer text reminders that aren't pesky or redundant like most other automated text management systems. If you're a new patient, you can also complete the patient forms online prior to your first appt to allow for a smooth pre authorization and transition.

We went to another optometrist and wasn't told we had eye mites at all at our exam! WTH?!? A year goes by and I forget about that incident and decide to give them another try but maybe see a different Dr. so I try to schedule an appointment online and was asked if I consent to a $40 "Eye Wellness" exam that is NOT covered by insurance. So here is my thought, if the insurance company doesn't feel this is a necessary procedure then why do I have to have it? So I said no. It then says they can't proceed with making my appointment and for me to call them. I call and basically if I don't agree to pay for the exam, they won't see me. I said that I think it's sad they would be willing to lose a customer over an optional procedure! They said, sorry, but we won't see you without it. You'd think spending that much money on glasses, the least they could do was get your prescription correct. Both of my eyes had issues---one more major than the other. The eye with minor damage was given a lens that over-corrected it, giving me frequent headaches and eye strain. I purchased RayBan glasses, which come with their logo engraved on the lenses. When I received the glasses, the RayBan logo was not there, meaning that I was given something cheaper than what I purchased. Avoid this optometry. The ones in Target are 100x better.

Dr Ly is patient and skilled optometrist who specializes in retinal health and contacts fitting. She also advise on use of warm compress for dry eyes and for blocked tear ducts from makeup build up. Office located inside Costco which is very convenient. Will come back again!
