Very personable Dr. assistants and office staff. I had a super awful experience. Had…read moreabdominalplasty with muscle repair and lipo to my flanks. Colon was perforated during original surgery. Ended up calling 911 and spent 20 days in the hospital. Basically went septic. Glad to be alive. Had 6 surgeries in about 12 days to clean me up. Woke up from my emergency department surgery with a colonoscopy bag. Original surgery cost me $14k. Besides the cost of almost my life; $5k in expenses while in the hospital; haven't even begin to get all my hospital bills. Have a deformed side, lack of feeling in my lower back. Over all nice Dr. and beautiful office. Wasn't offered any compensation for my surgery. Suffering from pain and financial stress. Loss of work.. hundreds of miles and hours to numerous doctors appointments. Future surgery early 2024 to fix my colon. Just a sad situation. The surgeon had a bad shoulder and he himself needed surgery the day after performing my surgery. Would have been nice to have been aware of the surgeon's condition. So bummed at this outcome. Just make sure your doctors are fit for surgery and they EXPLAIN all the possible complications in detail. (They say in writing that they do) but they don't. Be your own advocate. Good luck.

I had to call my referrals department three or four times as well to get them to resend the referral. And instead of calling me to let me know exactly what I needed to get scheduled, I had to call and find out. These people are awful. If their scheduling team is any measure of their actual healthcare team it might be dangerous for me to actually make an appointment.

He didn't address my tongue issues even though his office knew about it. Now I have to find another ENT specialist to address my issues. I will never return to his office again and certainly won't recommend Willamette ENT in Salem Oregon.

He said i would have to have breast lift at a second surgery and would look flat and saggy after the first surgery. He was willing to set up surgery in 6 weeks. I asked for a second onion with Yonders and he had to o.k. this which i found strange! Yonders seemed unsure of why i was having pain and swelling in breast and told me to wait 2 months and see if they would heal. I was rescheduled to see Yonkers in 2 months. I ended up having more constriction and pain during the wait time and was getting worse. I had talked to Christine the head of the clinic after being rescheduled for 2 months and asked her if Yonkers did not want to do the surgery and was told on no that is not it! I received a call from Christine one month later saying Yonkers would not do my surgery because i had too many surgeries. What this is not true and just a shock, she had reviewed my records prior to seeing me. Dr Austin was going to do the surgery so to sum up" just a shit show" that they put me through. Austin wont do surgery also!! I now cant even wear a bra and have to pay out of pocket for this surgery because these are the only kaiser Permanente surgeons in Salem.

After the Surgery, he would not Answer my questions, and got angry . Poor communication and listening. The internal infected incision burst, I went to ER, had him remove implant. I asked for a no reconstruction closure, yet I was left with skin flaps, plus painful skin adhesions. No explaination or offer of solutions. I had repaired by another PS. Beware.

As I lay here this evening my eyes are still swollen from crying after what was done to me bout 5…read morehours ago by Dr Donavon. It was an unexpected biopsy that needed to be done ASAP no doubt, but the way in which it was done was cruel unnecessarily aggressive. I can't get into the details of all that happened cause I'm still in significant pain, sick tomy stomach &.tearful over what happened. I'm a 49 year old woman who went to see this doctor today already in a state of stress & worry when I 1st got there knowing whatever it is I have it's definitely something very bad. By the time Dr Donavon left the room without saying anything to me just like when he was doing this god awful, terrifying & painful procedure I was not at all expecting, I left traumatized as I still am now. I just can't seem to get over & move on by what happened. I wish I had someone with me to witness it so I could no for sure if that is a typical way the procedure is done. But it still makes no sense to me as to why he was so incredibly cold & unprofessional. Even a vet would show an animal just a little bit of compassion or a comforting warning. I went to see Dr. Thompson because I could not breathe through my nose. I have been dealing with…read morethis problem for so many years. I was so tired of not sleeping at night and not being able to take a full breath. I knew the blockage was in my nose area. Day one, Dr. Thompson told me I had a deviated septum and the turbinates in both my nostrils were so swollen my airway was almost completely blocked. He recommended medication I could take for the rest of my life or a surgery that would fix the problem and he could do the surgery in his surgery center, in the same building. I was desperate and went for surgery. Surgery day- Dr. Thompson looked in my nose, said yep, both sides are almost completely shut. He then took me into surgery to fix my deviated septum and repair both turbinates. So I thought. All seemed good through the whole process. He had a beautiful office and surgery center. The staff wasn't very nice though. He put packing in my nose after surgery and I went home. Third day after surgery I started having pain and pressure in both my ears. I contacted his office and they ordered antibiotics for me. Post op, He removed the packing and said the ear thing was common after this procedure and it should go away. That's also when I found out he only fixed one of my turbinates. I asked why did he not do the other side? He said it didn't need it and if I wanted to do it later I could always come back. I was blown away! Come back?? 2nd post op visit, I'm still having pain in my ears and unable to breathe through my right nostril where he decided I didn't need the turbinate fixed. He pulled out of his top drawer a tiny straw looking thing, and said he could put these tubes in my ears if my ears continued to be a problem . He was serious! No special testing, no other forms of treatment, just more surgery. Does he not realize surgery is risky, can leave lifelong side affects and is PAINFUL! About the 5th post op visit I'm still having ear pain and still can't breathe out of that nostril. He then tells me that there is no way that the ear problem could be because of this surgery. That he's never had this problem with any of his patients ever. He denied it over and over. Even though in previous visits he said this was common! I was scared to death of this man. All he wanted to do was more and more surgery. IN HIS PERSONALLY OWNED OPERATING ROOM. Then he suggested doing a hearing test because my ear problems could have been there for a long time. I've never had problems with my ears, I don't even get ear infections when I'm sick. I went to my natural doctor, she said my eustacian tubes were extremely enlarged. She put a glove on and reaches way back in my throat(it was difficult to not gag) and drained my eustacian tubes. For 2 days after that it drained. Then the pressure and pain got better. My ears are still not 100% but they are much better. As far as Dr. Thompson is concerned, I wouldn't recommend him to anyone. He's got a real business going on there and it's not to help people. It's to put money in his pocket doing as many surgeries as possible.

He is thorough and if he believes someone he knows is better in an area in the ear he's happy to say this person here Specializes in this part if you want I can do a referral or I can take care of it. I like the honesty I like how he put people over the dollar when I didn't have insurance he cut things off the bill to help. He's a good man and a great doctor.

These two ladies take care of everything in their office and it's very clean. They have offered vaccine days when you can come in with your family to get things like Covid shots.
