Even though I was a new patient the staff was very accommodating. Once I was in the room, he reviewed my scans from my previous doctors and explained to me what he was seeing in the scans. He checked me over and agreed I would be a great candidate for surgery and explained the process and recovery. He assured me I would not leak brain fluid like a previous doctor had mentioned and did not send me off with a 30 day supply of prednisone and antibiotics like my previous doctor had also done. Although I have not had my surgery yet I am very confident in my choice for choosing Dr Browne to give me some much needed relief! Thank yo Update: I had my surgery with Dr Browne in office rather than at a surgery center. It went very well, I had absolutely no pain! Nose bled for a bit the first two days but nothing that kept me from normal things. Toughest part was sleeping up right only because I'm a tummy sleeper. You know an ENT is good when he has no problem throwing on a ridiculous looking pair of glasses and looking into your skull. The man knows what he's doing, has been doing it for decades, and is happy to share breathing tips to help you with your running (he's a hardcore marathoner). Just don't expect the good doctor to sugar coat anything for ya. He's a straight shooter, honest, and comes packed with a dry but funny sense of humor (if you can wrestle it out of him).

I see the PAs occasionally too. They are very knowledgeable. I don't have to start at the beginning every time, which is nice when you're not feeling the best. When I had to have major surgery to fix a deviated septum, he was very kind to my spouse and answered all the questions we had. Dr. Atkins office accepts most insurance. He works with different compounding pharmacies too in order to get the right formula for my unique sinus issues. He has several offices in South Central Texas, which is a plus for those outside San Antonio.
